1‘Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense.2It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high[1] – its horns of one piece with it.3Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold moulding around it.4Make two gold rings for the altar below the moulding – two on each of the opposite sides – to hold the poles used to carry it.5Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.6Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law – before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law – where I will meet with you.7‘Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.8He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so that incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come.9Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it.10Once a year Aaron shall make atonement on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering[2] for the generations to come. It is most holy to the Lord.’
Atonement money
11Then the Lord said to Moses,12‘When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them.13Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel,[3] according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the Lord.14All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the Lord.15The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives.16Receive the atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the tent of meeting. It will be a memorial for the Israelites before the Lord, making atonement for your lives.’
Basin for washing
17Then the Lord said to Moses,18‘Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.19Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet with water from it.20Whenever they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die. Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting a food offering to the Lord,21they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.’
Anointing oil
22Then the Lord said to Moses,23‘Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels[4] of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels[5] of fragrant calamus,24500 shekels of cassia – all according to the sanctuary shekel – and a hin[6] of olive oil.25Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil.26Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law,27the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense,28the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand.29You shall consecrate them so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.30‘Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.31Say to the Israelites, “This is to be my sacred anointing oil for the generations to come.32Do not pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred.33Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from their people.” ’
Incense
34Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Take fragrant spices – gum resin, onycha and galbanum – and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts,35and make a fragrant blend of incense, the work of a perfumer. It is to be salted and pure and sacred.36Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.37Do not make any incense with this formula for yourselves; consider it holy to the Lord.38Whoever makes incense like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off from their people.’

Das Lösegeld für die Israeliten
11Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:12Wenn du die Zahl der Kinder Israels ermittelst, alle, die gezählt werden, so soll jeder dem HERRN ein Lösegeld für seine Seele geben, wenn man sie zählt, damit nicht eine Plage über sie kommt, wenn sie gezählt werden. (Nu 1:1; Nu 3:40; Nu 26:2; Ps 49:8; Mt 20:28; 1Pe 1:18)13Jeder, der durch die Zählung geht, soll einen halben Schekel geben, nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums (ein Schekel gilt 20 Gera) — einen halben Schekel als Hebopfer für den HERRN. (Le 27:25; Nu 3:47)14Jeder, der durch die Zählung geht im Alter von 20 Jahren und darüber, der soll dem HERRN das Hebopfer geben. (Nu 18:8; Nu 18:19; Nu 18:26; Eze 20:40)15Der Reiche soll nicht mehr geben und der Arme nicht weniger als einen halben Schekel, wenn ihr dem HERRN das Hebopfer gebt, um Sühnung zu erwirken für eure Seelen. (Job 34:19; Pr 22:2; Ro 3:22; 1Co 4:7)16Und du sollst das Sühnegeld von den Kindern Israels nehmen und es für den Dienst der Stiftshütte geben, dass es den Kindern Israels zum Gedenken sei vor dem HERRN, um Sühnung zu erwirken für eure Seelen. Das eherne Becken
17Weiter redete der HERR mit Mose und sprach:18Du sollst auch ein ehernes Becken machen mit einem ehernen Gestell, zum Waschen, und du sollst es aufstellen zwischen der Stiftshütte und dem Altar, und Wasser hineingießen. (Ex 38:8; 2Ch 4:2)19Und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen aus ihm ihre Hände und Füße waschen. (Ex 40:31; Ps 26:6; Joh 13:8; Heb 10:22)20Wenn sie in die Stiftshütte gehen wollen, so sollen sie sich mit Wasser waschen, damit sie nicht sterben; ebenso wenn sie zum Altar nahen, um zu dienen und ein Feueropfer dem HERRN in Rauch aufgehen zu lassen. (Ex 40:31; 2Sa 12:20)21Und zwar sollen sie ihre Hände und ihre Füße waschen, damit sie nicht sterben. Das soll eine ewig gültige Ordnung für sie sein, für ihn und seinen Samen, für ihre [künftigen] Geschlechter. (Ex 27:21; Ex 28:43)
Das heilige Salböl und das Räucherwerk
22Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:23Nimm du dir auserlesene Spezerei: 500 Schekel feinste Myrrhe und halb so viel wohlriechenden Zimt, 250 [Schekel], und wohlriechenden Kalmus, auch 250, (Ge 37:25; Ps 45:9; Pr 7:17; So 4:14; Mt 2:11)24dazu 500 [Schekel] Kassia, nach dem Schekel des Heiligtums, und ein Hin Olivenöl; (Ps 45:9)25und mache daraus ein heiliges Salböl, eine Mischung von Gewürzsalbe, nach der Kunst des Salbenbereiters gemischt; ein heiliges Salböl soll es sein. Mit dem Blut des Sündopfers soll auf dem Altar die Sühnung jährlich einmal geschehen bei euren Nachkommen. Hochheilig ist er dem HERRN. (Le 16:18)
Die Steuer für das Heiligtum
11Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:12Wenn du die Israeliten zählst, so soll ein jeder dem HERRN ein Sühnegeld geben, um sein Leben auszulösen, damit ihnen nicht eine Plage widerfahre, wenn sie gezählt werden. (Nu 1:3; 2Sa 24:2)13Es soll aber jeder, der gezählt ist, einen halben Schekel geben nach dem Münzgewicht des Heiligtums; ein Schekel wiegt zwanzig Gramm. Dieser halbe Schekel soll als Abgabe für den HERRN erhoben werden. (Mt 17:27)14Wer gezählt ist von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber, der soll diese Abgabe dem HERRN geben.15Der Reiche soll nicht mehr geben und der Arme nicht weniger als den halben Schekel als Abgabe für den HERRN zur Sühnung für euer Leben.16Und du sollst solches Sühnegeld nehmen von den Israeliten und es zum Dienst an der Stiftshütte geben, dass es sei für die Israeliten, zum gnädigen Gedenken vor dem HERRN, zur Sühnung für euer Leben.
Das bronzene Becken
17Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:18Du sollst auch ein Becken aus Bronze machen mit einem Gestell aus Bronze zum Waschen und sollst es setzen zwischen die Stiftshütte und den Altar und Wasser hineintun, (Ex 38:8; 1Ki 7:23)19dass Aaron und seine Söhne ihre Hände und Füße darin waschen.20Wenn sie in die Stiftshütte gehen, sollen sie sich mit Wasser waschen, dann werden sie nicht sterben, so soll es auch sein, wenn sie an den Altar treten, um zu dienen und ein Feueropfer zu verbrennen für den HERRN.21Sie sollen ihre Hände und ihre Füße waschen, dass sie nicht sterben. Das soll eine ewige Ordnung sein für ihn und sein Geschlecht bei ihren Nachkommen.
Salböl und Räucherwerk
22Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:23Nimm dir die beste Spezerei: die edelste Myrrhe, fünfhundert Schekel, und Zimt, die Hälfte davon, zweihundertfünfzig, und Kalmus, auch zweihundertfünfzig Schekel,24und Kassia, fünfhundert nach dem Gewicht des Heiligtums, und eine Kanne Olivenöl.25Und mache daraus ein heiliges Salböl nach der Kunst des Salbenbereiters. (Ex 37:29)26Und du sollst damit salben die Stiftshütte und die Lade mit dem Gesetz,27den Tisch mit all seinem Gerät, den Leuchter mit seinem Gerät, den Räucheraltar,28den Brandopferaltar mit all seinem Gerät und das Becken mit seinem Gestell.29So sollst du sie weihen, dass sie hochheilig seien. Wer sie anrührt, der ist dem Heiligtum verfallen. (Ex 10:1)30Aaron und seine Söhne sollst du auch salben und sie mir zu Priestern weihen.
