Psalm 47

New International Version

from Biblica

For the director of music. Of the Sons of Korah. A psalm.

1 Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. 

2 For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. 

3 He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet. 

4 He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. 

5 God has ascended amid shouts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets. 

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. 

7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. 

8 God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. 

9 The nobles of the nations assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kings of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. 

2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. 

3 He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet. 

4 He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. 

5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. 

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. 

8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. 

9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

2 Ihr Völker alle, klatscht in die Hände! Jauchzt Gott mit Jubelschall! 

3 Denn der HERR, der Höchste, ist gefürchtet, ein großer König über die ganze Erde. (Ps 66:5; Ps 95:3; Ps 99:2; Zec 14:9; Mal 1:14) 

4 Er unterwarf uns die Völker und die Völkerschaften unter unsere Füße. 

5 Er erwählte für uns unser Erbe, den Stolz Jakobs, den er geliebt hat. // (Eze 20:6; Am 8:7; Mal 2:3) 

6 Gott ist emporgestiegen unter Jauchzen, der HERR beim Schall des Horns. (1Ch 15:28) 

7 Singt Gott, singet, singt unserem König, singet! (Ps 30:5) 

8 Denn Gott ist König der ganzen Erde; singt einen Psalm! (Ps 99:2; Zec 14:9; Mal 1:14) 

9 Gott ist König geworden über die Nationen; Gott hat sich auf seinen heiligen Thron gesetzt. (Re 15:3) 

10 Die Edlen der Völker haben sich versammelt ⟨mit dem⟩ Volk des Gottes Abrahams; denn die Könige der Erde sind Gottes; er ist sehr erhaben. (Isa 2:3)
