Psalm 125

New International Reader’s Version

from Biblica
1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. They will always be secure. They will last for ever.2 Like the mountains around Jerusalem, the LORD is all around his people both now and for ever.3 Evil people will not always rule the land the LORD gave to those who do right. If they did, those who do right might do what is evil.4 LORD, do good to those who are good. Do good to those whose hearts are honest.5 But the LORD will drive out those who have taken crooked paths. He will drive them out with those who do evil things. May Israel enjoy peace.

Psalm 125

New International Version

from Biblica
1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures for ever.2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and for evermore.3 The sceptre of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil.4 Lord, do good to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart.5 But those who turn to crooked ways the Lord will banish with the evildoers. Peace be on Israel.

Psalm 125

King James Version

1 A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Psalm 125

Lutherbibel 2017

from Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft
(Ps 128:6; Ga 6:16)
