1‘Here is what you must do to set apart Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests. Get a young bull and two rams. They must not have any flaws.2Get the finest wheat flour. Make round loaves of bread that do not have yeast in them. Make thick loaves of bread that do not have yeast in them. Mix olive oil into the thick loaves of bread. Also make thin loaves of bread that do not have yeast in them. Brush the thin loaves with olive oil.3Put everything in a basket. Offer them along with the bull and the two rams.4Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting. Wash them with water.5Take the inner robe, the outer robe of the linen apron, the apron itself and the chest cloth. Dress Aaron in them. Take the skilfully made waistband and tie the apron on him with it.6Put the turban on his head. Connect the sacred plate to the turban.7Take the anointing oil and pour it on his head.8Bring his sons and dress them in their inner robes.9Put caps on their heads. Tie belts on Aaron and his sons. The work of the priests belongs to them. This is my law that will last for all time to come. ‘Then you must prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me.10‘Bring the bull to the front of the tent of meeting. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.11Kill it in front of the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting.12Dip your finger into some of the bull’s blood. Put it on the horns that stick out from the upper four corners of the altar. Pour the rest of it out at the base of the altar.13Then take all the fat on the inside parts. Take the long part of the liver. Get both kidneys with the fat on them. And burn all of it on the altar.14But burn the bull’s meat, hide and guts outside the camp. It is a sin offering.15‘Get one of the rams. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.16Kill it. Take the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar.17Cut the ram into pieces. Wash the inside parts and the legs. Put them with the head and the other pieces.18Then burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to me. It has a pleasant smell. It is a food offering presented to the LORD.19‘Get the other ram. Have Aaron and his sons place their hands on its head.20Kill it. Put some of its blood on the right earlobes of Aaron and his sons. Put some on the thumbs of their right hands. Also put some on the big toes of their right feet. Then splash the blood against the sides of the altar.21Get some of the blood from the altar. Also get some of the anointing oil. Sprinkle both of them on Aaron and his clothes and on his sons and their clothes. Then he and his sons and their clothes will be set apart to serve the LORD.22‘Here is what you must take from this second ram. Take the fat, the fat tail and the fat around the inside parts. Take the long part of the liver. Also take both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. It is the ram you must use when you prepare the priests to serve the LORD.23Get one round loaf of bread and one thick loaf of bread with olive oil mixed in. Also get one thin loaf of bread. Take them from the basket of bread made without yeast. It is the one in front of the LORD.24Put all these things in the hands of Aaron and his sons. Tell them to lift them up and wave them in front of the LORD as a wave offering.25Then take all these things from their hands. Burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering. Its smell pleases the LORD. It is a food offering presented to the LORD.26Get the breast of the ram used when you prepare Aaron to serve the LORD. Wave it in front of the LORD as a wave offering. It will be your share of the meat.27‘Here are the parts of the second ram that belong to Aaron and his sons. You must set apart the breast that was waved and the thigh that was offered.28It will be the regular share from the Israelites for Aaron and his sons. The people must give it to the LORD from their friendship offerings.29‘Aaron’s sacred clothes will belong to his sons who will come after him. Then they can wear them when you anoint them and prepare them to serve the LORD.30The son who comes after Aaron as priest must wear them seven days. He will come and serve in the Holy Room in the tent of meeting.31‘Get the ram sacrificed when you prepare Aaron and his sons to serve the LORD. Cook the meat in a sacred place.32Aaron and his sons must eat the ram’s meat. And they must eat the bread in the basket. They must eat all of it at the entrance to the tent of meeting.33These are the offerings to pay for their sins. They must eat them. The offerings must be made when Aaron and his sons are set apart and prepared to serve the LORD. No one else can eat them. They are sacred.34When you prepare Aaron and his sons to serve me, you will sacrifice the ram and the bread. If any parts of the ram or bread are left until morning, burn them up. They must not be eaten. They are sacred.35‘Do everything I have commanded you to do for Aaron and his sons. Take seven days when you prepare them to serve the LORD.36Sacrifice a bull each day. It is a sin offering to pay for their sins. Make the altar pure. Pour olive oil on it to set it apart.37Take seven days to make the altar pure. Set it apart. Then the altar will be a very holy place. Anything that touches it will be holy.38‘Every day sacrifice on the altar two lambs that are a year old.39Sacrifice one in the morning and the other one when the sun goes down.40Along with the first lamb, offer 1.5 kilograms of fine flour. Mix it with a litre of oil made from pressed olives. Along with that, sacrifice a litre of wine as a drink offering.41Sacrifice the other lamb when the sun goes down. Sacrifice it along with the same grain offering and its drink offering as you do in the morning. It has a pleasant smell. It is a food offering presented to the LORD.42‘For all time to come, this burnt offering must be sacrificed regularly. Sacrifice it at the entrance to the tent of meeting in front of the LORD. There I will meet with you and speak to you.43There I will also meet with the people of Israel. My glory will make the place holy.44‘So I will set apart the tent of meeting and the altar. And I will set apart Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.45Then I will live among the people of Israel. And I will be their God.46They will know that I am the LORD their God. They will know that I brought them out of Egypt so I could live among them. I am the LORD their God.
1»Auf die folgende Weise sollst du Aaron und seine Söhne in den Priesterdienst einsetzen: Wähle einen Stier und zwei Schafböcke aus, lauter fehlerfreie Tiere, (Le 8:1)2-3und lege in einen Korb Rundbrote, mit Öl zubereitete Ringbrote und mit Öl bestrichene Fladenbrote, alles aus Weizenmehl und ohne Sauerteig gebacken.4Dann führe Aaron und seine Söhne zum Eingang des Heiligen Zeltes und wasche sie mit Wasser.5Nimm die Priesterkleider und bekleide Aaron mit dem Priesterhemd, dem Obergewand und dem Amtsschurz mit der Brusttasche. Befestige den Schurz mit dem daran angewebten Gürtel.6Setze Aaron den Turban auf und befestige daran vorne das goldene Schild.7Dann nimm Salböl, gieße es auf Aarons Kopf und weihe ihn so zum Priesterdienst.8Darauf lässt du die Söhne Aarons herantreten. Du bekleidest sie mit dem Priesterhemd,9legst ihnen den Gürtel an[1] und windest ihnen den Turban um den Kopf. So setzt du sie in das Priesteramt ein und überträgst ihnen das Priestertum für alle Zeiten.10Nun holst du den Stier herbei, und Aaron und seine Söhne legen ihre Hände auf seinen Kopf.11Dann schlachtest du den Stier bei meinem Altar vor dem Eingang des Heiligen Zeltes.12Nimm von dem Blut und streiche es mit dem Finger an die Hörner des Altars; das übrige Blut schütte unten an den Altar.13Verbrenne für mich auf dem Altar die besten Stücke des Stieres: das Fett an den Eingeweiden, den Fettlappen an der Leber und die beiden Nieren mit dem Nierenfett.14Das Fleisch, die Haut und die Eingeweide samt Inhalt musst du außerhalb des Lagers verbrennen. Es handelt sich um ein Sühneopfer.15Dann holst du den einen Schafbock, und Aaron und seine Söhne legen ihre Hände auf seinen Kopf.16Du schlachtest das Tier und sprengst sein Blut ringsum an den Altar.17Darauf zerlegst du das Tier und legst die Stücke samt dem Kopf auf den Altar. Die Eingeweide und Unterschenkel säuberst du vorher mit Wasser.18Dann wird das ganze Tier auf dem Altar verbrannt. Es ist ein Brandopfer für mich, den HERRN, ein Opfer, das mich gnädig stimmt.19Hol dann den zweiten Schafbock und lass Aaron und seine Söhne die Hände auf seinen Kopf legen.20Schlachte den Schafbock, nimm etwas von seinem Blut und betupfe damit das rechte Ohrläppchen, den rechten Daumen und die rechte große Zehe Aarons und seiner Söhne; das übrige Blut sprengst du ringsum an den Altar.21Nimm dann etwas von diesem Blut und etwas Salböl und besprenge damit Aaron und seine Kleider und auch seine Söhne und deren Kleider, damit sie samt ihren Kleidern dem HERRN geweiht sind.22Dieser zweite Schafbock ist für das Einsetzungsopfer bestimmt. Du nimmst nun von ihm den Fettschwanz und das Fett an den Eingeweiden, den Fettlappen an der Leber und die beiden Nieren mit dem Nierenfett, ebenso die rechte Hinterkeule,23und dazu aus dem Korb mit den ungesäuerten Broten, der vor dem Altar steht, ein Rundbrot, ein mit Öl zubereitetes Ringbrot und ein Fladenbrot.24Das alles legst du Aaron und seinen Söhnen in die geöffneten Hände, damit sie es mir, dem HERRN, darbieten.25Dann nimmst du es ihnen wieder aus den Händen und verbrennst es für mich auf dem Altar, wo du schon das Brandopfer dargebracht hast, als ein Opfer, das mich gnädig stimmt.26Das Bruststück des zweiten Schafbocks nimmst du selbst in die Hand, um es mir symbolisch zu übereignen; es fällt dir als dein Anteil an dem Opfer zu. (Le 7:30; Le 8:27; Le 8:29; Le 9:21; Le 10:15; Le 23:11; Le 23:20)27-28Von allen Mahlopfern der Israeliten sollen das Bruststück und die Keule für alle Zeiten den Nachkommen Aarons als Anteil zustehen, weil beim Schafbock des Einsetzungsopfers für Aaron und seine Söhne das Bruststück mir, dem HERRN, übereignet und die Keule vor dem Altar emporgehoben worden ist. Du sollst deshalb diese Stücke für heilig erklären und den Priestern zusprechen.29Die Priesterkleider Aarons gehen später an seine Nachfolger über. In ihnen sollen sie mit Salböl geweiht und in den Priesterdienst eingesetzt werden. (Nu 20:28)30Jeweils der von Aarons Nachkommen, dem die Nachfolge Aarons zufällt und der den Dienst im Innern des Heiligen Zeltes zu versehen hat, soll sie bei der Feier seiner Einsetzung sieben Tage lang tragen.31Das Fleisch des zweiten Schafbocks kochst du im Bereich des Heiligtums.32Aaron und seine Söhne sollen es am Eingang des Heiligen Zeltes essen, zusammen mit dem Opferbrot aus dem Korb.33Es ist als Opfer bei ihrer Einsetzung dargebracht worden, deshalb dürfen sie es essen; aber niemand sonst darf davon essen, denn es ist heilig.34Was von dem Fleisch und dem Brot am anderen Morgen noch übrig ist, darf nicht gegessen werden; es muss verbrannt werden.35An sieben Tagen nacheinander sollst du dieses Einsetzungsopfer wiederholen.36Jeden Tag schlachtest du einen Stier als Sühneopfer und reinigst mit seinem Blut den Altar von der Befleckung durch menschliche Verfehlungen. Außerdem bestreichst du den Altar mit Salböl und machst ihn dadurch heilig.37An sieben Tagen sollst du das wiederholen, dann wird der Altar in besonderem Maße heilig sein; jeder Unbefugte, der ihn berührt, muss sterben.« (Ex 30:29; Le 6:11; Le 6:20; Nu 4:18; Nu 8:19; Jer 30:21; Eze 44:19)
Die täglichen Opfer
38»Tag für Tag sollst du auf dem großen Altar zwei einjährige Schafe als Brandopfer darbringen lassen, (Nu 28:1)39das eine am Morgen, das andere in der Abenddämmerung.[2]40-41Dazu kommen jeweils als Speiseopfer 1/10 Efa (gut 1 Kilo) Weizenmehl, das mit 1/4 Hin (knapp 1 Liter) feinstem Olivenöl vermengt wird, und als Trankopfer 1/4 Hin Wein. So ist es ein Opfer, das mich gnädig stimmt.
Die Bedeutung des Heiligtums
42Als regelmäßiges tägliches Opfer sollt ihr und eure Nachkommen es mir in alle Zukunft am Eingang des Heiligen Zeltes darbringen. Hier in diesem Heiligtum komme ich euch nahe, hier rede ich mit dir.43Hier soll es zur Begegnung zwischen mir und den Israeliten kommen. Das Heilige Zelt wird durch die Gegenwart meiner Herrlichkeit zu einer heiligen Stätte werden44und genauso wird der Altar durch meine Gegenwart heilig. Auch Aaron und seine Söhne mache ich heilig, damit sie mir als Priester dienen können.45Ich werde mitten unter dem Volk Israel wohnen und als ihr Gott bei ihnen sein. (Ex 25:8)46Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR, ihr Gott, bin, der sie aus Ägypten herausgeführt hat, um in ihrer Mitte zu wohnen. Ich bin der HERR, ihr Gott.«
