Psalm 115

1 LORD, may glory be given to you, not to us. You are loving and faithful. 

2 Why do the nations ask, ‘Where is their God?’ 

3 Our God is in heaven. He does anything he wants to do. 

4 But the statues of their gods are made out of silver and gold. They are made by human hands. 

5 They have mouths but can’t speak. They have eyes but can’t see. 

6 They have ears but can’t hear. They have noses but can’t smell. 

7 They have hands but can’t feel. They have feet but can’t walk. They have throats but can’t say anything. 

8 Those who make statues of gods will be like them. So will all those who trust in them. 

9 All you Israelites, trust in the LORD. He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe. 

10 Priests of Aaron, trust in the LORD. He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe. 

11 You who have respect for the LORD, trust in him. He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe. 

12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us. He will bless Israel, his people. He will bless the priests of Aaron. 

13 The LORD will bless those who have respect for him. He will bless important and unimportant people alike. 

14 May the LORD give you many children. May he give them to you and to your children after you. 

15 May the LORD bless you. He is the Maker of heaven and earth. 

16 The highest heavens belong to the LORD. But he has given the earth to human beings. 

17 Dead people don’t praise the LORD. Those who lie quietly in the grave don’t praise him. 

18 But we who are alive praise the LORD, both now and for ever. Praise the LORD.

1 (По слав. продължение на 113.) Не на нас, ГОСПОДИ, не на нас, а на Своето име въздай слава заради милостта Си и заради верността Си. (Isa 48:11; Eze 36:32) 

2 Защо да кажат народите: Къде е сега техният Бог? (Ps 42:3; Ps 42:10; Ps 79:10; Joe 2:17) 

3 Нашият Бог е на небето; прави всичко, което Му е угодно. (1Ch 16:26; Ps 135:6; Da 4:35) 

4 Техните идоли са сребро и злато, творение на човешките ръце. (De 4:28; Ps 135:15; Jer 10:3) 

5 Уста имат, но не говорят; очи имат, но не виждат; 

6 уши имат, но не чуват; ноздри имат, но не миришат; 

7 ръце имат, но не докосват; крака имат, но не ходят; нито издават глас от гърлото си. 

8 Подобни на тях ще станат онези, които ги правят, както и всеки, който уповава на тях. (Ps 135:18; Isa 44:9; Jon 2:9; Hab 2:18; Hab 2:19) 

9 Израилю, уповавай на ГОСПОДА; Той е тяхна помощ и щит. (Ps 33:20; Ps 118:2; Ps 135:10; Ps 135:20; Pr 30:5) 

10 Доме Ааронов, уповавайте на ГОСПОДА; Той е тяхна помощ и щит. 

11 Вие, които се боите от ГОСПОДА, уповавайте на ГОСПОДА; Той е тяхна помощ и щит. 

12 ГОСПОД си спомни за нас; ще ни благослови; ще благослови Израилевия дом; ще благослови Аароновия дом. 

13 Ще благослови онези, които се боят от ГОСПОДА – и малки, и големи. (Ps 128:1; Ps 128:4) 

14 Дано ГОСПОД ви умножава все повече и повече – вас и децата ви. 

15 Благословени сте вие от ГОСПОДА, Който е направил небето и земята. (Ge 1:1; Ge 14:19; Ps 96:5) 

16 Небесата са небеса на ГОСПОДА; а земята Той даде на човешките синове. 

17 Мъртвите не хвалят ГОСПОДА, нито онези, които слизат в мястото на мълчанието; (Ps 6:5; Ps 88:10; Isa 38:18) 

18 но ние ще благославяме ГОСПОДА отсега и довека. Алилуя. (Ps 113:2; Da 2:20)
