Die Nachkommen Esaus

Die Stammesgründer Teman, Omar, Zefo, Kenas,16Korach[6], Gatam und Amalek sind Nachkommen von Esaus erstgeborenem Sohn Elifas. Daher gehen alle diese Stämme[7] auf ´Esaus Frau` Ada zurück.17Die Stammesgründer Nahat, Serach, Schamma und Misa sind Nachkommen von Reguël. Damit gehen diese Stämme auf ´Esaus Frau` Basemat zurück.18Die Stammesgründer Jëusch, Jalam und Korach sind Nachkommen von Esaus Frau Oholibama. Die Nachkommen Seïrs
20Die ursprünglichen Bewohner des Landes Edom waren die Nachkommen des Horiters Seïr. Seïrs Söhne hießen Lotan, Schobal, Zibon, Ana,21Dischon, Ezer und Dischan. Sie waren die Gründer der horitischen Stämme, die im Land Edom wohnten.22Die Söhne Lotans waren Hori und Heman, Lotans Schwester hieß Timna.23Schobals Söhne hießen Alwan, Manahat, Ebal, Schefi und Onam.24Zibons Söhne waren Aja und Ana. Die Könige der Edomiter
31Noch bevor es in Israel einen König gab, regierten in Edom folgende Könige:32Der ´erste` edomitische König war Bela, der Sohn Beors. Seine Hauptstadt hieß Dinhaba.33Ihm folgten[8] König Jobab, der Sohn Serachs, aus der Stadt Bozra34und König Huscham aus dem Gebiet des Stammes Teman.35Nach ihm bestieg König Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, den Thron. Hadads Hauptstadt hieß Awit. Er besiegte die Midianiter in einer Schlacht auf moabitischem Gebiet.36Ihm folgten König Samla aus der Stadt Masreka,37König Schaul aus der Stadt Rehobot am Fluss,38König Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors,39und König Hadar[9]. Hadars Hauptstadt hieß Pagu. Der Name seiner Frau war Mehetabel. Sie war eine Tochter Matreds und Enkelin Me-Sahabs.
