Glücklich zu preisen ist der Mensch, dem seine Treulosigkeit Gott gegenüber vergeben und dessen Sünden zugedeckt sind.2Ja, der ist wahrhaft glücklich zu nennen, dem der HERR die Schuld nicht anrechnet und der durch und durch aufrichtig ist[2].3Solange ich meine Schuld verschwieg, wurde ich von Krankheit zerfressen[3], den ganzen Tag habe ich nur gestöhnt.4Tag und Nacht lastete deine Hand auf mir. Da verging mir aller Lebensmut, ich verlor jede Kraft wie unter stechender Sonnenglut.[4] //[5] (Ps 3,3)5Dann endlich bekannte ich dir meine Sünde, meine Schuld verschwieg ich nicht länger vor dir[6]. Ich sagte: »Ich will dem HERRN alle meine Vergehen bekennen.« Und du – ja, du befreitest mich von der Last meiner Sünde. //6Darum soll jeder, der dir treu ist, zu dir beten, solange du dich finden lässt. Und er darf erleben: Selbst wenn die Not ihn bedrängt wie eine gewaltige Flut – sie wird ihm nicht schaden können.[7]7Du, ´Gott`, bist mein sicherer Zufluchtsort, mein Schutz in Zeiten der Not. Wohin ich mich auch wende – deine Hilfe kommt nie zu spät. Darüber juble ich vor Freude.[8] //8´Du hast zu mir gesagt:`[9] »Ich will dich unterweisen und dir den Weg zeigen, den du gehen sollst. Ich will dich beraten und immer meinen Blick auf dich richten.«9Seid nicht wie Pferde oder Maultiere, denen der Verstand fehlt und deren Schmuck aus Zaum und Zügel besteht. Damit muss man sie zähmen[10], denn sonst gehorchen sie ja nicht.10Viele Schmerzen muss erleiden, wer sich von Gott abwendet, doch wer auf den HERRN vertraut, den umgibt er mit seiner Gnade.11Freut euch über den HERRN und jubelt laut, die ihr nach seinem Willen lebt[11]! Ihr alle, deren Herz aufrichtig ist, singt vor Freude!
1Blessed is the person whose lawless acts are forgiven. Their sins have been taken away.2Blessed is the person whose sin the LORD never counts against them. That person doesn’t want to cheat anyone.3When I kept silent about my sin, my body became weak because I groaned all day long.4Day and night you punished me. I became weaker and weaker as I do in the heat of summer.5Then I admitted my sin to you. I didn’t cover up the wrong I had done. I said, ‘I will admit my lawless acts to the LORD.’ And you forgave the guilt of my sin.6Let everyone who is faithful pray to you while they can still look to you. When troubles come like a flood, they certainly won’t reach those who are faithful.7You are my hiding place. You will keep me safe from trouble. You will surround me with songs sung by those who praise you because you save your people.8I will guide you and teach you the way you should go. I will give you good advice and watch over you with love.9Don’t be like a horse or a mule. They can’t understand anything. They have to be controlled by bits and bridles. If they aren’t, they won’t come to you.10Sinful people have all kinds of trouble. But the LORD’s faithful love is all around those who trust in him.11Be glad because of what the LORD has done for you. Be joyful, you who do what is right! Sing, all you whose hearts are honest!
