1Halleluja! Glücklich zu preisen ist, wer dem HERRN in Ehrfurcht begegnet, wer Gottes Gebote mit Freude befolgt.[1] (Ps 9,1)2Seine Nachkommen werden im ganzen Land einflussreich sein. Ja, sie alle, die aufrichtig vor Gott leben, werden von ihm gesegnet.3Wohlstand und Reichtum sind im Haus eines solchen Menschen zu finden, das Gute, das er tut, hat für immer Bestand[2].4Aufrichtigen Menschen strahlt in der Finsternis ein helles Licht auf, gnädig, barmherzig und gerecht ´ist Gott`[3].5Gut steht es um den, der barmherzig ist und anderen etwas leiht. Vor Gericht wird er sein Recht behaupten können.[4]6Ja, niemals wird er ins Stolpern geraten; in ewig guter Erinnerung wird der bleiben, der nach Gottes Willen lebt[5].7Vor einem schlimmen Gerücht[6] hat er keine Angst; sein Herz ist zuversichtlich, voll Vertrauen auf den HERRN.8Gefestigt ist sein Herz, er fürchtet sich nicht – bis er schließlich herabblicken darf auf alle, die ihn angegriffen haben.9Er teilt mit vollen Händen aus und beschenkt die Bedürftigen; das Gute, das er tut, hat für immer Bestand. Er behauptet sich und genießt hohes Ansehen.[7] (Ps 18,3)10Der Gottlose sieht es und ärgert sich, voller Wut knirscht er mit den Zähnen – und geht doch unaufhaltsam seinem Ende entgegen[8]! Ja, die Wünsche der Gottlosen werden mit ihnen untergehen.

von Biblica1Praise the LORD. Blessed are those who have respect for the LORD. They find great delight when they obey God’s commands.2Their children will be powerful in the land. Because they are honest, their children will be blessed.3Their family will have wealth and riches. They will always be blessed for doing what is right.4Even in the darkness light shines on honest people. It shines on those who are kind and tender and godly.5Good things will come to those who are willing to lend freely. Good things will come to those who are fair in everything they do.6Those who do what is right will always be secure. They will be remembered for ever.7They aren’t afraid when bad news comes. They stand firm because they trust in the LORD.8Their hearts are secure. They aren’t afraid. In the end they will see their enemies destroyed.9They have spread their gifts around to poor people. Their good works continue for ever. They will be powerful and honoured.10Evil people will see it and be upset. They will grind their teeth and become weaker and weaker. What evil people long to do can’t succeed.
