Der Brandopferaltar und das Wasserbecken

1 Bezalel baute^[1] den Brandopferaltar aus Akazienholz. ´Die Grundfläche des Altars` war quadratisch, zweieinhalb Meter^[2] mal zweieinhalb Meter^[3], und seine Höhe betrug eineinhalb Meter^[4]. (2Mo 36,8) 2 An den vier Ecken ragten Hörner auf, die aus einem Stück mit dem Altar gearbeitet waren. Der ganze Altar wurde mit Bronze beschlagen. 3 Außerdem stellte Bezalel das Zubehör für den Altar her: die Behälter für die Entsorgung der Fettasche, die Schaufeln, die Schalen ´für das Blut der Opfertiere`, die Fleischgabeln und die Kohlebecken. Alle diese Gegenstände fertigte er aus Bronze. 4 Er stellte auch ein bronzenes Gitternetz ´mit hochgezogenen Seitenwänden` her, legte es unter den Altar und befestigte es an dessen Vorsprung, so dass es die untere Hälfte des Altars umschloss^[5]. (2Mo 27,5) 5 Außerdem goss er vier Ringe für die Tragestangen ´und befestigte sie` an den vier Ecken des Gitternetzes. 6 Die Tragestangen fertigte er aus Akazienholz, überzog sie mit Bronze 7 und steckte sie in die Ringe an den Seiten des Altars, um ihn transportieren zu können. Der Altar wurde aus Brettern gefertigt und war innen hohl.^[6] (2Mo 27,8) 8 Außerdem fertigte Bezalel ein bronzenes Wasserbecken mit einem bronzenen Untergestell an. Dazu verwendete er die Spiegel^[7] der Frauen, die am Eingang des Begegnungszeltes ihren Dienst versahen.

Der Hof um die Wohnung des Herrn

9 Bezalel steckte mit Hilfe von Vorhängen aus gezwirntem Leinen ´rings um die Wohnung des HERRN` einen Hof ab. Auf der Südseite war der Vorhang fünfzig Meter^[8] lang. 10 Gehalten wurde er von zwanzig Pfosten mit Sockeln aus Bronze und mit Haken und Querstangen^[9] aus Silber. (2Mo 27,10) 11 Auch auf der Nordseite war der Vorhang fünfzig Meter^[10] lang und wurde gehalten von zwanzig Pfosten mit Sockeln aus Bronze und mit Haken und Querstangen aus Silber. 12 Auf der Schmalseite im Westen war der Vorhang fünfundzwanzig Meter^[11] lang, gehalten von zehn Pfosten mit Sockeln aus Bronze und mit Haken und Querstangen aus Silber. 13 Auch die Eingangsseite im Osten, Richtung Sonnenaufgang, war fünfundzwanzig Meter^[12] lang. 14 Rechts vom Eingang^[13] stand ein Vorhang von siebeneinhalb Meter^[14] Länge, aufgehängt an drei Pfosten mit den dazuzugehörenden Sockeln. 15 Links vom Eingang^[15] stand ebenfalls ein Vorhang von siebeneinhalb Meter^[16] Länge, aufgehängt an drei Pfosten mit den dazugehörenden Sockeln. 16 Alle Vorhänge rings um den Hof waren aus ´weißem`, gezwirntem Leinen gefertigt. 17 Die Sockel für die Pfosten bestanden aus Bronze und ihre Haken und Querstangen aus Silber. Auch die Kapitelle der Pfosten waren mit Silber überzogen. Alle Pfosten waren durch silberne Querstangen miteinander verbunden. 18 Der Vorhang, der den Eingang zum Hof abschirmte, bestand aus gezwirntem Leinen und war mit eingestickten Mustern in den Farben Blau, Purpur und Karmesinrot verziert. Er war zehn Meter^[17] lang und – genauso wie die Vorhänge, die den Hof umschlossen – zweieinhalb Meter^[18] hoch. 19 Aufgehängt war er an vier Pfosten, die auf bronzenen Sockeln standen. Die Haken und Querstangen bestanden aus Silber. Auch die Kapitelle waren mit Silber überzogen. 20 Alle Zeltpflöcke für die Wohnung und den Hof bestanden aus Bronze.

Summe der aufgewendeten Edelmetalle

21 Beim Bau der Wohnung ´des HERRN`, in der die Gesetzestafeln aufbewahrt werden sollten^[19], wurde auf Moses Befehl die folgende Liste erstellt. Die Leviten führten darin unter Aufsicht des Priesters Itamar, des Sohnes Aarons, ´alle verwendeten Metalle` auf. (2Mo 25,21) 22 Bezalel, der Sohn Uris und Enkel Hurs aus dem Stamm Juda, hatte alle Arbeiten so ausgeführt, wie der HERR es Mose aufgetragen hatte. 23 Ihm hatte Oholiab, der Sohn Ahimasachs, aus dem Stamm Dan zur Seite gestanden. Oholiab konnte sowohl Holz und Metall bearbeiten als auch Stoffe weben und besticken. Er verarbeitete dabei blaue, purpurfarbene und karmesinrote Wollfäden und ´weiße` Leinengarne. 24 Das Gold aus den freiwilligen Opfergaben, das zum Bau des Heiligtums und aller dazugehörenden Gegenstände verwendet wurde^[20], wog etwa 1000 Kilogramm^[21] nach dem im Heiligtum üblichen Gewicht. 25 Das Silber, das bei der Musterung der Israeliten zusammengekommen war, wog etwa 3520 Kilogramm^[22] nach dem im Heiligtum üblichen Gewicht. 26 Jeder Mann, der zwanzig Jahre und älter war, hatte als Kopfsteuer ein halbes Silberstück^[23] gegeben. Insgesamt waren es 603550 Männer. 27 Aus dem Silber wurden die Sockel für die Stützrahmen des Heiligtums und die Sockel für den Vorhang ´vor dem Allerheiligsten` gegossen. Da jeder Sockel fünfunddreißig Kilogramm^[24] wog, wurden dafür 3500 Kilogramm^[25] Silber verwendet. 28 Aus den restlichen zwanzig Kilogramm^[26] fertigte Bezalel die Haken und die Querstangen für die Säulen sowie den Überzug für die Kapitelle. 29 Die Bronze, die als freiwillige Opfergabe gestiftet worden war^[27], wog etwa 2500 Kilogramm^[28]. 30 Bezalel fertigte daraus die Sockel am Eingang des Begegnungszeltes, den bronzenen Altar mit seinem Gitternetz und seinem gesamten Zubehör, 31 die Sockel für die Umzäunung des Hofs sowie alle Zeltpflöcke für die Wohnung und für die Umzäunung.

1 And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof. 2 And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass. 3 And he made all the vessels of the altar, the pots, and the shovels, and the basons, and the fleshhooks, and the firepans: all the vessels thereof made he of brass. 4 And he made for the altar a brasen grate of network under the compass thereof beneath unto the midst of it. 5 And he cast four rings for the four ends of the grate of brass, to be places for the staves. 6 And he made the staves of shittim wood, and overlaid them with brass. 7 And he put the staves into the rings on the sides of the altar, to bear it withal; he made the altar hollow with boards. 8 And he made the laver of brass, and the foot of it of brass, of the lookingglasses of the women assembling, which assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 9 And he made the court: on the south side southward the hangings of the court were of fine twined linen, an hundred cubits: 10 Their pillars were twenty, and their brasen sockets twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets were of silver. 11 And for the north side the hangings were an hundred cubits, their pillars were twenty, and their sockets of brass twenty; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. 12 And for the west side were hangings of fifty cubits, their pillars ten, and their sockets ten; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. 13 And for the east side eastward fifty cubits. 14 The hangings of the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three. 15 And for the other side of the court gate, on this hand and that hand, were hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three. 16 All the hangings of the court round about were of fine twined linen. 17 And the sockets for the pillars were of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver; and the overlaying of their chapiters of silver; and all the pillars of the court were filleted with silver. 18 And the hanging for the gate of the court was needlework, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: and twenty cubits was the length, and the height in the breadth was five cubits, answerable to the hangings of the court. 19 And their pillars were four, and their sockets of brass four; their hooks of silver, and the overlaying of their chapiters and their fillets of silver. 20 And all the pins of the tabernacle, and of the court round about, were of brass. 21 This is the sum of the tabernacle, even of the tabernacle of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the priest. 22 And Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the LORD commanded Moses. 23 And with him was Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver, and a cunning workman, and an embroiderer in blue, and in purple, and in scarlet, and fine linen. 24 All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place , even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary. 25 And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and threescore and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: 26 A bekah for every man, that is , half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men . 27 And of the hundred talents of silver were cast the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the vail; an hundred sockets of the hundred talents, a talent for a socket. 28 And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and filleted them. 29 And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels. 30 And therewith he made the sockets to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the brasen altar, and the brasen grate for it, and all the vessels of the altar, 31 And the sockets of the court round about, and the sockets of the court gate, and all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins of the court round about.
