Gott steht da in der Gottesversammlung, inmitten der Götter[1] hält er Gericht: (Ps 58,2)2»Wie lange noch wollt ihr ungerechte Urteile fällen und die gottlosen Verbrecher begünstigen? //[2] (Ps 3,3)3Schafft Recht den Schutzlosen und Waisen; sorgt dafür, dass den Unterdrückten und Armen Gerechtigkeit zuteil wird!4Befreit die Schutzlosen und Bedürftigen, entreißt sie der Gewalt der gottlosen Verbrecher!5Aber es fehlt ihnen an Einsicht und Erkenntnis, in Finsternis gehen sie ihren Weg. Da geraten sogar die Fundamente der Erde ins Wanken!6Ich selbst hatte zwar gesagt: Ihr seid Götter, Söhne des Höchsten seid ihr alle.7Aber ihr werdet sterben wie ganz gewöhnliche Menschen, und ihr werdet stürzen wie irgendein Machthaber!«8Mache dich auf, Gott! Halte Gericht über die Welt! Denn alle Völker gehören dir als Erbbesitz.
