1 A ti, SEÑOR, elevo mi alma. 2 En ti confío, mi Dios. No permitas que me humillen. No dejes a mis enemigos que se alegren en mi derrota. 3 Nadie que tenga fe en ti, Dios mío, se avergonzará de haber puesto su confianza en ti. Pero los que engañan a otros serán avergonzados. 4 Enséñame la senda que debo seguir, SEÑOR. Indícame el camino por donde debo andar. 5 ¡Guíame por medio de tu verdad, enséñame! Porque tú eres el Dios que me da salvación; en nadie sino en ti tengo esperanza todo el día. 6 Acuérdate, SEÑOR, de tu misericordia y gran amor que siempre me has mostrado. 7 Pasa por alto los pecados de mi juventud, SEÑOR; mírame con ojos de misericordia y perdón. 8 Bueno eres, SEÑOR, y enseñas el camino recto a cuantos se extravían. 9 Tú diriges a los humildes en la justicia y les enseñas su camino. 10 Tú, SEÑOR, guías con gran amor y fidelidad a quienes guardan tu pacto y obedecen tus decretos. 11 Pero ¡ay, SEÑOR, mis pecados! ¡Cuántos son! ¡Perdónamelos por amor a tu nombre! 12 Al que te teme, SEÑOR, tú le enseñarás a elegir el mejor sendero. 13 Vivirá rodeado de las bendiciones que sólo tú envías, y sus descendientes heredarán la tierra. 14 Ser amigo tuyo, oh Dios, es privilegio de quienes te honran. Sólo con ellos compartes los secretos de tu pacto. 15 Continuamente buscan mis ojos el socorro que sólo tú, SEÑOR, me ofreces, pues sólo tú puedes salvarme de las trampas de mis enemigos. 16 Ven, SEÑOR, y muéstrame tu misericordia, pues me hallo indefenso, abrumado, sumido en la tribulación. 17 De mal en peor van mis problemas, ¡ay, líbrame de ellos! 18 Siente mis dolores; fíjate en mis angustias; perdona mis pecados. 19 Mira cuántos son mis enemigos y cuán tremendo es su odio contra mí. 20 ¡Líbrame de ellos! ¡Salva mi vida de su poder! ¡No se diga jamás que inútilmente confié en ti! 21 Dame por guardias la santidad y la integridad, pues espero que me protejas, 22 y que redimas de todas sus tribulaciones a Israel.

1 [1] Of David. To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. (Sal 24:4; Sal 86:4; Sal 143:8; Lm 3:41) 2 O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me. (Sal 11:1; Sal 13:4; Sal 25:20; Sal 31:1; Sal 31:17; Sal 71:1) 3 Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. (Sal 59:3; Is 49:23; Jer 3:20; Ro 5:5; Flp 1:20) 4 Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. (Ex 33:13; Sal 5:8; Sal 27:11; Sal 86:11; Sal 119:35; Sal 143:8; Sal 143:10) 5 Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. (Sal 26:3; Sal 86:11) 6 Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old. (Gn 8:1; Gn 9:15; Gn 19:29; Sal 51:1; Sal 103:17; Is 63:15) 7 Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! (Job 13:26; Job 20:11; Sal 51:1; Jer 3:25) 8 Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way. (Sal 32:8; Sal 100:5) 9 He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. 10 All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies. (Jn 1:17) 11 For your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great. (Sal 23:3; Ro 5:20) 12 Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. (Sal 25:8) 13 His soul shall abide in well-being, and his offspring shall inherit the land. (Sal 37:9; Sal 112:2; Pr 1:33; Pr 19:23) 14 The friendship[2] of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. (Job 29:4; Am 3:7) 15 My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. (2 Cr 20:12; Sal 31:4; Sal 123:1; Sal 141:8) 16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. (Sal 69:16; Sal 86:16; Sal 119:132) 17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged; bring me out of my distresses. 18 Consider my affliction and my trouble, and forgive all my sins. (Job 10:15) 19 Consider how many are my foes, and with what violent hatred they hate me. 20 Oh, guard my soul, and deliver me! Let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
