Nuestros verdugos nos pedían un himno alegre, nos decían: «Cántennos uno de esos cantos de Sion».4Pero ¿cómo cantaremos los himnos del SEÑOR en una tierra extraña?5Si llego a olvidarte, oh Jerusalén, ¡que mi mano derecha olvide cómo tocar el arpa!6Si no me acordara de ti, ni fueras tú mi más grande gozo, que la lengua se me pegue al paladar.7SEÑOR, no olvides lo que estos edomitas hicieron aquel día en que los ejércitos de Babilonia tomaron Jerusalén. «¡Arrásenla hasta el suelo!», gritaban.8Oh Babilonia, que serás destruida; dichoso el que te haga pagar por lo que nos has hecho.9¡Dichoso el que tome a tus niños y los estrelle contra las rocas!
