1 ¡Alaba, alma mía, al SEÑOR! Dios mío, qué grande eres tú. Estas revestido de honor y majestad. 2 Te cubres de luz como con un manto; extiendes los cielos como un velo. 3 Afirmas sobre las aguas tus altos aposentos y haces de las nubes tus carros de guerra. ¡Tú cabalgas en las alas del viento! 4 Haces de los vientos tus mensajeros, y de las llamas de fuego tus servidores. 5 Tú pusiste la tierra sobre sus cimientos, y de allí nunca se moverá. 6 Vestiste la tierra con torrentes de agua que cubrieran las montañas. 7 Pero a tu reprensión huyeron las aguas; ante el estruendo de tu voz se dieron a la fuga. 8 Las montañas salieron y los valles se hundieron hasta el lugar que tú les diste. 9 Luego pusiste límite a los mares, para que nunca más cubrieran la tierra. 10 Tú haces que los manantiales viertan sus aguas en las cañadas, y que los riachuelos fluyan en abundancia desde las montañas. 11 Ellas suministran agua para todos los animales. Allí apagan su sed los burros salvajes, 12 y las aves anidan junto a las corrientes y cantan entre las ramas de los árboles. 13 Desde tu casa en las nubes, envías la lluvia sobre las montañas, y llenas la tierra con el fruto de tu trabajo. 14 Haces que crezca la hierba para el ganado, y las plantas que la gente cultiva para sacar de la tierra su alimento, 15 y vino para alegrarlo, y aceite de oliva como loción para su piel, y pan para fortalecerlo. 16 Los árboles del SEÑOR están bien regados, los cedros del Líbano que él plantó. 17 Allí las aves hacen sus nidos, y en los cipreses tiene su hogar las cigüeñas. 18 En lo alto de los montes hay pasto para las cabras monteses, y en sus rocas hallan refugio los tejones. 19 Él destinó la luna para marcar los meses, y el sol para marcar los días. 20 Tú envías la oscuridad, y cae la noche, y es cuando los animales del bosque salen a buscar su presa. 21 Entonces rugen los leoncillos pidiendo alimento, pero en manos del SEÑOR están. 22 Cuando amanece regresan para ocultarse y reposar en sus guaridas, 23 y la gente sale para cumplir con sus tareas, ellos trabajan hasta que las sombras de la noche caen otra vez. 24 ¡SEÑOR, qué variedad de cosas has hecho! ¡Y con qué sabiduría has hecho todo! La tierra está llena de tus criaturas. 25 Allí está el mar, ancho e infinito, que abunda en animales, grandes y pequeños, cuyo número es imposible conocer. 26 ¡Mira como navegan los barcos, y al Leviatán que tú hiciste para que jugara en el mar! 27 Cada uno de estos animales espera de ti que a su tiempo le des su alimento. 28 Tú se lo das, y ellos lo recogen. Abres tu mano para alimentarlos, y ellos quedan satisfechos. 29 Pero si te apartas de ellos, se aterran; si les quitas el aliento, mueren y vuelven al polvo. 30 Envías entonces tu Espíritu y nace nueva vida, para volver a llenar de seres vivientes la tierra. 31 Que la gloria del SEÑOR dure para siempre. El SEÑOR se alegra en todo lo que ha creado. 32 Él mira la tierra y la hace temblar; las montañas se incendian cuando él las toca. 33 Cantaré al SEÑOR mientras viva. Alabaré al SEÑOR mientras me quede aliento. 34 Deseo que a él le agraden todos estos pensamientos, pues él es la fuente de toda mi alegría. 35 Desaparezcan de la tierra todos los pecadores; que los malvados desaparezcan para siempre. ¡Alaba, alma mía, al SEÑOR! ¡Aleluya! ¡Alabado sea el SEÑOR!
