1 Quiero cantar al amor y a la justicia: quiero, SEÑOR, cantarte salmos. 2 Trataré de vivir una vida sin mancha, pero ¿cuándo vendrás en mi ayuda? Quiero portarme en mi propia casa como debo. 3 Me negaré siquiera a mirar lo despreciable y vulgar. Aborrezco las acciones tramposas; nada tendré que ver con ellas. 4 Alejaré de mí toda mala intención; me alejaré de todo mal. 5 No toleraré a nadie que en secreto calumnie a su prójimo; y no permitiré la vanidad ni el orgullo. 6 Mantendré mis ojos sobre los fieles de la tierra, para que habiten conmigo seguros. Sólo quienes tengan una conducta intachable serán siervos míos. 7 Pero no permitiré engañadores en mi casa; a los que mienten no se les permitirá estar en mi presencia. 8 Diariamente me dedicaré a descubrir a los delincuentes y a librar de sus garras a la ciudad de Dios.

1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O Lord, I will make music. (Ex 34:7) 2 I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; (Ex 20:24; 1 R 9:4; Sal 4:4; Sal 78:72; Sal 119:1; Pr 11:20; Mt 5:48; Jn 14:23) 3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. (Dt 15:9; Sal 40:4) 4 A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. (Pr 11:20; Pr 17:20; 1 Co 5:11) 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. (Sal 15:3; Sal 18:27; Sal 101:8; Sal 131:1; Pr 6:17; Pr 16:5; Pr 21:4; Pr 30:13) 6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. (Sal 119:1; Pr 11:20; Mt 5:48) 7 No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. (Sal 52:2; Sal 102:28) 8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
