1A Song. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, (مز 2:6; مز 42:1; مز 46:1; مز 46:4; مز 87:1; مز 96:4; مز 145:3; إش 2:3; مي 4:1; زك 8:3)2beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. (مز 50:2; مرا 2:15; حز 20:6; مت 5:35)3Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress.4For behold, the kings assembled; they came on together. (2صم 10:6)5As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were in panic; they took to flight.6Trembling took hold of them there, anguish as of a woman in labor. (خر 15:15; إش 13:8; هو 13:13)7By the east wind you shattered the ships of Tarshish. (1مل 10:22; 1مل 22:48; إر 18:17; حز 27:26)8As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God, which God will establish forever. (مز 48:1; مز 87:5; إش 2:2; مي 4:1)9We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. (مز 26:3; مز 40:10)10As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. (خر 34:5; تث 28:58; مز 22:27; مز 113:3; ملا 1:11; ملا 1:14)11Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments! (مز 97:8)12Walk about Zion, go around her, number her towers,13consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels, that you may tell the next generation (مز 78:4; مز 122:7)14that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.[1] (مز 23:3)
