1Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen, zum Flötenspiel.2HERR, höre meine Worte, merke auf mein Seufzen!3Vernimm mein Schreien, mein König und mein Gott; denn ich will zu dir beten.4HERR, frühe wollest du meine Stimme hören, frühe will ich mich zu dir wenden und aufmerken.5Denn du bist nicht ein Gott, dem Frevel gefällt; wer böse ist, bleibt nicht vor dir.6Die Ruhmredigen bestehen nicht vor deinen Augen; du bist feind allen Übeltätern.7Du vernichtest die Lügner; dem HERRN sind ein Gräuel die Blutgierigen und Falschen.8Ich aber darf in dein Haus gehen durch deine große Güte und anbeten vor deinem heiligen Tempel in deiner Furcht. (Ps 26,8)9HERR, leite mich in deiner Gerechtigkeit um meiner Feinde willen; ebne vor mir deinen Weg!10Denn in ihrem Munde ist nichts Verlässliches; ihr Inneres ist Bosheit. Ihr Rachen ist ein offenes Grab; mit ihren Zungen heucheln sie. (Röm 3,13)11Sprich sie schuldig, Gott, dass sie zu Fall kommen durch ihr Vorhaben. Stoße sie aus um ihrer vielen Übertretungen willen; denn sie sind widerspenstig gegen dich.12Lass sich freuen alle, die auf dich trauen; ewiglich lass sie rühmen, denn du beschirmest sie. Fröhlich lass sein in dir, die deinen Namen lieben!13Denn du, HERR, segnest die Gerechten, du deckest sie mit Gnade wie mit einem Schilde.

1LORD, listen to my words. Pay attention when I mourn.2My King and my God, hear me when I cry for help. I pray to you.3LORD, in the morning you hear my voice. In the morning I pray to you. I wait for you in hope.4For you, God, aren’t happy with anything that is evil. Those who do what is wrong can’t live where you are.5Those who are proud can’t stand in front of you. You hate everyone who does what is evil.6You destroy those who tell lies. LORD, you hate murderers and those who cheat others.7Because of your great love I can come into your house. With deep respect I bow down towards your holy temple.8LORD, I have many enemies. Lead me in your right path. Make your way smooth and straight for me.9Not a word from their mouths can be trusted. Their hearts are filled with a desire to hurt others. Their throats are like open graves. With their tongues they tell lies.10God, show that they are guilty. Let their evil plans bring them down. Send them away because of their many sins. They have refused to obey you.11But let all those who go to you for safety be glad. Let them always sing for joy. Spread your cover over them and keep them safe. Then those who love you will be glad because of you.12Surely, LORD, you bless those who do what is right. Like a shield, your loving care keeps them safe.

1Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning. (Ps 39,3)2Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. (Ps 65,2; Ps 84,3)3O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you[1] and watch. (Ps 88,13; Ps 119,147; Ps 130,6; Hab 2,1)4For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.5The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. (Ps 1,5; Ps 11,5; Ps 73,3; Ps 75,4; Hab 1,13)6You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. (Ps 4,2; Ps 55,23)7But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you. (1Kön 8,29; 1Kön 8,30; Ps 11,4; Ps 79,1; Ps 132,7)8Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.
