Gott ermahnt Salomo

1 Und als Salomo das Haus des HERRN gebaut hatte und das Haus des Königs und alles, was er zu machen gewünscht hatte, (2Chr 7,11) 2 erschien ihm der HERR zum zweiten Mal, wie er ihm erschienen war in Gibeon. (1Kön 3,5) 3 Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Ich habe dein Gebet und Flehen gehört, das du vor mich gebracht hast, und habe dies Haus geheiligt, das du gebaut hast, dass ich meinen Namen dort wohnen lasse ewiglich, und meine Augen und mein Herz sollen da sein allezeit. (1Kön 8,29) 4 Und du, wenn du vor mir wandelst, wie dein Vater David gewandelt ist, mit rechtschaffenem Herzen und aufrichtig, dass du alles tust, was ich dir geboten habe, und meine Gebote und meine Rechte hältst, 5 so will ich bestätigen den Thron deines Königtums über Israel ewiglich, wie ich deinem Vater David zugesagt habe: Es soll dir nicht fehlen an einem Mann auf dem Thron Israels. (2Sam 7,12; 1Kön 2,4; Jer 33,17) 6 Werdet ihr euch aber von mir abwenden, ihr und eure Kinder, und nicht halten meine Gebote und Rechte, die ich euch vorgelegt habe, und hingehen und andern Göttern dienen und sie anbeten, 7 so werde ich Israel ausrotten aus dem Lande, das ich ihnen gegeben habe, und das Haus, das ich meinem Namen geheiligt habe, will ich verwerfen von meinem Angesicht; und Israel wird ein Spott und Hohn sein unter allen Völkern. (5Mo 28,37; Jos 23,16) 8 Und dies Haus wird eingerissen werden, sodass alle, die vorübergehen, sich entsetzen werden und zischen und sagen: Warum hat der HERR diesem Lande und diesem Hause das angetan? (5Mo 29,23; Jer 22,8) 9 Dann wird man antworten: Weil sie den HERRN, ihren Gott, verlassen haben, der ihre Väter aus Ägyptenland führte, und andere Götter angenommen und sie angebetet und ihnen gedient haben – darum hat der HERR all dies Unheil über sie gebracht.

Regierungsmaßnahmen Salomos

10 Als nun die zwanzig Jahre um waren, in denen Salomo die beiden Häuser baute, des HERRN Haus und des Königs Haus, – (1Kön 6,38; 1Kön 7,1; 2Chr 8,7) 11 dazu hatte Hiram, der König von Tyrus, Salomo Zedernbäume und Zypressen und Gold nach all seinen Wünschen gegeben –, da gab der König Salomo Hiram zwanzig Städte im Lande Galiläa. (1Kön 5,24) 12 Und Hiram zog aus von Tyrus, die Städte zu besehen, die ihm Salomo gegeben hatte, und sie gefielen ihm nicht. 13 Und er sprach: Was sind das für Städte, mein Bruder, die du mir gegeben hast? Und man nannte sie das Land Kabul bis auf diesen Tag. 14 Und Hiram hatte dem König hundertzwanzig Zentner Gold gesandt. 15 Und so verhielt sich’s mit den Fronleuten, die der König Salomo aushob, um zu bauen des HERRN Haus und sein Haus und den Millo und die Mauer Jerusalems und Hazor und Megiddo und Geser – 16 denn der Pharao, der König von Ägypten, war heraufgezogen und hatte Geser eingenommen und mit Feuer verbrannt und die Kanaaniter erschlagen, die in der Stadt wohnten, und hatte seiner Tochter, Salomos Frau, den Ort als Brautgeschenk gegeben; (Jos 16,10; 1Kön 3,1) 17 und Salomo baute Geser wieder auf und das untere Bet-Horon 18 und Baalat und Tamar in der Wüste im Lande Juda 19 und alle Städte mit Kornspeichern, die Salomo hatte, und alle Städte der Wagen und die Städte der Gespanne und was er zu bauen wünschte in Jerusalem, im Libanon und im ganzen Lande seiner Herrschaft –: (1Kön 10,26) 20 Alles Volk, das noch übrig war von den Amoritern, Hetitern, Perisitern, Hiwitern und Jebusitern, die nicht zu den Israeliten gehörten, 21 deren Nachkommen, die übrig geblieben waren im Lande, an denen Israel den Bann nicht hatte vollstrecken können, die machte Salomo zu Fronleuten bis auf diesen Tag. (Jos 16,10) 22 Aber von den Israeliten machte er niemand zu Fronleuten, sondern ließ sie Kriegsleute und seine Knechte und Oberste und Ritter und Hauptleute über seine Wagen und Gespanne sein. (3Mo 25,39) 23 Und die Zahl der obersten Amtleute, die über Salomos Bauarbeiten gesetzt waren, betrug fünfhundertfünfzig; diese geboten über die Leute, die die Arbeiten taten. 24 Und die Tochter des Pharao zog herauf von der Stadt Davids in ihr Haus, das Salomo für sie gebaut hatte. Dann baute er auch den Millo. 25 Und Salomo opferte dreimal im Jahr Brandopfer und Dankopfer auf dem Altar, den er dem HERRN gebaut hatte, und räucherte auf ihm vor dem HERRN. Und so wurde das Haus fertig. (5Mo 16,16) 26 Und Salomo baute auch Schiffe in Ezjon-Geber, das bei Elat liegt am Ufer des Schilfmeers im Lande Edom. 27 Und Hiram sandte auf die Schiffe seine Leute, die gute Schiffsleute und auf dem Meer erfahren waren, zusammen mit den Leuten Salomos. (1Kön 10,11) 28 Und sie kamen nach Ofir und holten dort vierhundertzwanzig Zentner Gold und brachten’s dem König Salomo.

1 And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king' house, and all Solomon' desire which he was pleased to do, 2 That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon. 3 And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 4 And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: 5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel. 6 But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: 7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: 8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house? 9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil. 10 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king' house, 11 ( Now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees, and with gold, according to all his desire,) that then king Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee. 12 And Hiram came out from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they pleased him not. 13 And he said, What cities are these which thou hast given me, my brother? And he called them the land of Cabul unto this day. 14 And Hiram sent to the king sixscore talents of gold. 15 And this is the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer. 16 For Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slain the Canaanites that dwelt in the city, and given it for a present unto his daughter, Solomon' wife. 17 And Solomon built Gezer, and Bethhoron the nether, 18 And Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land, 19 And all the cities of store that Solomon had, and cities for his chariots, and cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion. 20 And all the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which were not of the children of Israel, 21 Their children that were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel also were not able utterly to destroy, upon those did Solomon levy a tribute of bondservice unto this day. 22 But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no bondmen: but they were men of war, and his servants, and his princes, and his captains, and rulers of his chariots, and his horsemen. 23 These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon' work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work. 24 But Pharaoh' daughter came up out of the city of David unto her house which Solomon had built for her: then did he build Millo. 25 And three times in a year did Solomon offer burnt offerings and peace offerings upon the altar which he built unto the LORD, and he burnt incense upon the altar that was before the LORD. So he finished the house. 26 And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom. 27 And Hiram sent in the navy his servants, shipmen that had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon. 28 And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.
