1 HERR, wenn ich auch mit dir rechten wollte, so behältst du doch recht; dennoch muss ich vom Recht mit dir reden. Warum geht’s doch den Gottlosen so gut, und die Abtrünnigen haben alles in Fülle? (Hi 21,7; Ps 73,3) 2 Du pflanzt sie ein, sie schlagen Wurzeln und wachsen und bringen Frucht. Nahe bist du ihrem Munde, aber ferne von ihrem Herzen. 3 Mich aber, HERR, kennst du und siehst mich und prüfst mein Herz vor dir. Reiß sie weg wie Schafe zum Schlachten, und sondere sie aus, dass sie getötet werden! (Ps 139,1) 4 Wie lange soll das Land so trocken stehen und das Gras überall auf dem Felde verdorren? Wegen der Bosheit der Bewohner schwinden Vieh und Vögel dahin; denn sie sagen: Er sieht nicht, wie es uns gehen wird. (Jer 9,9; Jer 14,1; Hos 4,3) 5 Wenn es dich müde macht, mit Fußgängern zu gehen, wie willst du mit Rossen wetteifern? Und wenn du nur im friedlichen Lande sicher bist, was willst du tun im Dickicht des Jordans? 6 Denn auch deine Brüder und deines Vaters Haus sind treulos gegen dich, sie schreien hinter dir her aus vollem Halse. Trau ihnen nicht, auch wenn sie freundlich mit dir reden. (Jer 9,3)

Gottes Klage über sein verwüstetes Land

7 Ich habe mein Haus verlassen und mein Erbe verstoßen und, was meine Seele liebt, in der Feinde Hand gegeben. 8 Mein Erbe ist mir geworden wie ein Löwe im Walde und brüllt wider mich; darum bin ich ihm feind geworden. 9 Ist mir mein Erbe zur Höhle der Hyäne geworden, dass sich dort Raubvögel sammeln? Wohlauf und sammelt euch, alle Tiere des Feldes, kommt und fresst! (Jes 56,9) 10 Viele Hirten haben meinen Weinberg verwüstet und meinen Acker zertreten; sie haben meinen schönen Acker zur öden Wüste gemacht. (Jer 6,3) 11 Sie haben ihn jämmerlich verwüstet; verödet liegt er vor mir; ja, das ganze Land ist verwüstet, aber niemand will es sich zu Herzen nehmen. 12 Die Verwüster sind dahergekommen über alle kahlen Höhen der Steppe. Denn ein Schwert hat der HERR, das frisst von einem Ende des Landes bis zum andern, und kein Geschöpf wird Frieden haben. 13 Sie haben Weizen gesät, aber Dornen geerntet; sie ließen’s sich sauer werden, aber sie konnten’s nicht genießen. Sie konnten ihres Ertrages nicht froh werden vor dem grimmigen Zorn des HERRN. (Hos 8,7)

Über die Nachbarvölker

14 So spricht der HERR wider alle meine bösen Nachbarn, die das Erbteil antasten, das ich meinem Volk Israel zugeteilt habe: Siehe, ich will sie aus ihrem Lande ausreißen und das Haus Juda aus ihrer Mitte reißen. 15 Aber wenn ich sie ausgerissen habe, will ich mich wieder über sie erbarmen und will einen jeden in sein Erbteil und in sein Land zurückbringen. (Jer 1,10) 16 Und es soll geschehen, wenn sie von meinem Volk lernen werden, bei meinem Namen zu schwören: So wahr der HERR lebt!, wie sie mein Volk gelehrt haben, beim Baal zu schwören, so sollen sie inmitten meines Volks aufgebaut werden. (5Mo 6,13; Jer 4,2) 17 Wenn sie aber nicht hören wollen, so will ich solch ein Volk ausreißen und vernichten, spricht der HERR.

1 Righteous art thou, O LORD, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously? 2 Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins. 3 But thou, O LORD, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. 4 How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end. 5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee , then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan? 6 For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, even they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee. 7 I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. 8 Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it. 9 Mine heritage is unto me as a speckled bird, the birds round about are against her; come ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, come to devour. 10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. 11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart. 12 The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace. 13 They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, but shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD. 14 Thus saith the LORD against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them. 15 And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land. 16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people. 17 But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, saith the LORD.

2 You plant them, and they take root; they grow and produce fruit; you are near in their mouth and far from their heart. 14 Thus says the LORD concerning all my evil neighbors who touch the heritage that I have given my people Israel to inherit: “Behold, I will pluck them up from their land, and I will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.
