Psalm 149

Lutherbibel 2017

von Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft
1 Halleluja! Halleluja! (Jes 34,1; Jes 63,4; Joe 4,2)

Psalm 149

English Standard Version

von Crossway
1 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! (Ps 33,3; Ps 89,5; Ps 89,7; Ps 148,14) 2 Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! (1Sam 12,12; Hi 35,10; Ps 85,6; Ps 95,6; Sach 9,9) 3 Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! (2Mo 15,20; Ps 30,11; Ps 150,3; Ps 150,4) 4 For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. (Ps 35,27; Ps 147,11; Jes 61,3) 5 Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. (Hi 35,10; Ps 4,4; Ps 63,6; Hos 7,14) 6 Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands, (Ps 66,17; Spr 5,4; Hebr 4,12; Offb 1,16; Offb 2,12) 7 to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, (Hi 36,8) 9 to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the LORD! (Hi 13,26; Ps 148,14; Jes 65,6)
