Die Herrlichkeit des Herrn kehrt in den Tempel zurück

1 Und er führte mich wieder zum Tor im Osten. 2 Und siehe, die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels kam von Osten und brauste, wie ein großes Wasser braust, und es ward sehr licht auf der Erde von seiner Herrlichkeit. (Hes 1,28) 3 Und es war ganz so wie das Gesicht, das ich geschaut hatte, als der Herr kam, um die Stadt zu zerstören, und wie das Gesicht, das ich gesehen hatte am Fluss Kebar. Da fiel ich nieder auf mein Angesicht. (Hes 1,1; Hes 8,1) 4 Und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN kam hinein in das Tempelhaus durch das Tor, das nach Osten liegt. (Hes 10,19) 5 Da hob mich ein Wind empor und brachte mich in den inneren Vorhof; und siehe, die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erfüllte das Haus. (2Mo 40,34; 1Kön 8,10) 6 Und ich hörte einen mit mir reden vom Hause heraus, während der Mann neben mir stand. 7 Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, das ist der Ort meines Thrones und die Stätte meiner Fußsohlen; hier will ich für immer wohnen unter den Israeliten. Und das Haus Israel soll nicht mehr meinen heiligen Namen entweihen, weder sie noch ihre Könige, durch ihren Götzendienst und durch die Leichen ihrer Könige, wenn sie sterben; (Ps 132,7) 8 denn sie haben ihre Schwelle an meine Schwelle und ihre Pfosten neben meine Pfosten gesetzt, sodass nur eine Wand zwischen mir und ihnen war, und haben so meinen heiligen Namen entweiht durch die Gräuel, die sie taten; darum habe ich sie auch in meinem Zorn vertilgt. (Hes 8,7) 9 Nun aber sollen sie ihren Götzendienst und die Leichen ihrer Könige weit von mir wegtun, und ich will für immer unter ihnen wohnen. 10 Und du, Menschenkind, beschreibe dem Haus Israel den Tempel, dass sie sich schämen ihrer Missetaten. Und wenn sie seine Anlage ausmessen, (Hes 36,32) 11 so sollen sie sich all dessen schämen, was sie getan haben. Zeige ihnen Plan und Anlage des Tempels und seine Ausgänge und Eingänge und seinen ganzen Plan und alle seine Ordnungen und alle seine Gesetze. Schreibe sie vor ihren Augen auf, damit sie auf seinen ganzen Plan und alle seine Ordnungen achthaben und danach tun. 12 Das soll aber das Gesetz des Tempels sein: Auf der Höhe des Berges soll sein ganzes Gebiet ringsum hochheilig sein. Siehe, das ist das Gesetz des Tempels.

Der Altar und seine Weihe

13 Das sind aber die Maße des Altars, gemessen nach Ellen, die eine Handbreit länger sind als die gewöhnliche Elle: Die Rinne um den Altar ist eine Elle tief und eine Elle breit, und die Leiste an ihrem Rand ist eine Spanne hoch ringsherum. Und das ist die Höhe des Altars: (2Mo 27,1; Hes 40,47) 14 Von der Rinne am Boden bis an den unteren Absatz sind es zwei Ellen in der Höhe und eine Elle in der Breite, und von dem niedrigeren Absatz bis zu dem höheren Absatz sind es vier Ellen in der Höhe und eine Elle in der Breite; 15 und der Opferherd ist vier Ellen hoch, und auf dem Opferherd stehen nach oben vier Hörner. 16 Und der Opferherd ist zwölf Ellen lang und zwölf Ellen breit im Geviert. 17 Und der Absatz ist vierzehn Ellen lang und vierzehn Ellen breit im Geviert; und eine Leiste geht ringsherum, eine halbe Elle hoch, und seine Rinne ist eine Elle tief und seine Stufen liegen nach Osten hin. 18 Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, so spricht Gott der HERR: Dies sollen die Ordnungen für den Altar sein an dem Tage, an dem er gebaut ist, um Brandopfer auf ihm zu opfern und Blut an ihn zu sprengen. 19 Da sollst du den levitischen Priestern aus dem Geschlecht Zadoks, die vor mich treten, um mir zu dienen, spricht Gott der HERR, einen jungen Stier zum Sündopfer geben. (3Mo 4,1; Hes 40,46) 20 Und von seinem Blut sollst du nehmen und damit die vier Hörner besprengen und die vier Ecken des Absatzes und die Leiste, die ringsherum geht; damit sollst du ihn entsündigen und Sühne für ihn schaffen. 21 Und du sollst den Stier des Sündopfers nehmen und ihn verbrennen auf dem Platz am Tempel, wo man die Opfertiere mustert, außerhalb des Heiligtums. 22 Aber am nächsten Tag sollst du einen Ziegenbock opfern, der ohne Fehler ist, als Sündopfer und den Altar damit entsündigen, wie er mit dem Stier entsündigt ist. 23 Nachdem du den Altar entsündigt hast, sollst du einen jungen Stier opfern, der ohne Fehler ist, und einen Widder von der Herde ohne Fehler 24 und sollst sie beide vor dem HERRN opfern, und die Priester sollen Salz auf sie streuen und sollen sie so dem HERRN opfern als Brandopfer. 25 So sollst du sieben Tage lang täglich einen Bock als Sündopfer opfern, und sie sollen einen jungen Stier und einen Widder von der Herde, die beide ohne Fehler sind, opfern. 26 So sollen sie sieben Tage lang für den Altar Sühne schaffen und ihn reinigen und weihen. 27 Und nach diesen Tagen sollen die Priester am achten Tag und danach immer wieder auf dem Altar opfern eure Brandopfer und eure Dankopfer, so will ich euch gnädig sein, spricht Gott der HERR.

The Glory of the Lord Fills the Temple

6 While the man was standing beside me, I heard one speaking to me out of the temple, (2Mo 25,22; Hes 40,3) 7 and he said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever. 8 by setting their threshold by my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them. They have defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed, so I have consumed them in my anger. (Hes 42,20; Hes 43,7) 9 Now let them put away their whoring and the dead bodies of their kings far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever. (Hes 43,7) 10 “As for you, son of man, describe to the house of Israel the temple, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and they shall measure the plan. (Hes 40,4; Hes 43,7) 11 And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple, its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, that is, its whole design; and make known to them as well all its statutes and its whole design and all its laws, and write it down in their sight, so that they may observe all its laws and all its statutes and carry them out. (Hes 12,3; Hes 43,10; Hes 44,5) 12 This is the law of the temple: the whole territory on the top of the mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the temple. The Altar

13 “These are the measurements of the altar by cubits (the cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth):^[4] its base shall be one cubit high^[5] and one cubit broad, with a rim of one span^[6] around its edge. 14 from the base on the ground to the lower ledge, two cubits, with a breadth of one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge, four cubits, with a breadth of one cubit; 15 and the altar hearth, four cubits; and from the altar hearth projecting upward, four horns. (2Mo 27,2) 16 The altar hearth shall be square, twelve cubits long by twelve broad. (2Mo 27,1; Hes 40,47) 17 The ledge also shall be square, fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad, with a rim around it half a cubit broad, and its base one cubit all around. 20 And you shall take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the ledge and upon the rim all around. Thus you shall purify the altar and make atonement for it. (2Mo 29,12; 2Mo 29,36; 3Mo 8,15; Hes 43,13; Hes 43,15; Hes 43,17; Hes 45,18; Hes 45,19)

21 You shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and it shall be burned in the appointed place belonging to the temple, outside the sacred area. (2Mo 29,14) 22 And on the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering; and the altar shall be purified, as it was purified with the bull. 23 When you have finished purifying it, you shall offer a bull from the herd without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish. (2Mo 29,1; Hes 43,20) 24 You shall present them before the Lord, and the priests shall sprinkle salt on them and offer them up as a burnt offering to the Lord. (3Mo 2,13) 25 For seven days you shall provide daily a male goat for a sin offering; also, a bull from the herd and a ram from the flock, without blemish, shall be provided.
