Die zuchtlosen Schwestern Ohola und Oholiba

1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir: (Hes 16,1) 2 Du Menschenkind, es waren zwei Frauen, Töchter derselben Mutter. 3 Die wurden Huren in Ägypten schon in ihrer Jugend; dort ließen sie nach ihren Brüsten greifen und ihren jungfräulichen Busen betasten. 4 Die große hieß Ohola und ihre Schwester Oholiba. Und ich nahm sie zu Frauen und sie gebaren mir Söhne und Töchter. Ohola ist Samaria und Oholiba Jerusalem. 5 Ohola trieb Hurerei, wurde mir untreu. Sie entbrannte für ihre Liebhaber, für die Assyrer, die zu ihr kamen, 6 für die Statthalter und Hauptleute, die mit Purpur gekleidet waren, lauter junge hübsche Leute, Reiter, hoch zu Ross. 7 Und sie trieb ihre Hurerei mit ihnen, lauter auserlesenen Söhnen Assurs, und bei allen, für die sie entbrannte, machte sie sich auch unrein mit ihren Götzen. 8 Dazu ließ sie auch nicht von ihrer Hurerei mit den Ägyptern, die bei ihr gelegen hatten in ihrer Jugend und ihre jungfräulichen Brüste betastet und sie mit ihrer Hurerei besudelt hatten. (2Kön 17,4) 9 Darum übergab ich sie in die Hand ihrer Liebhaber, der Söhne Assurs, für die sie entbrannt war. 10 Die deckten ihre Blöße auf und nahmen ihre Söhne und Töchter weg; sie selbst aber töteten sie mit dem Schwert, und sie wurde zum Gespött unter den Frauen. So vollzogen sie das Gericht an ihr. 11 Als aber ihre Schwester Oholiba das sah, entbrannte sie noch viel mehr als ihre Schwester und trieb die Hurerei noch schlimmer als sie. 12 Sie entbrannte für die Söhne Assurs, Statthalter und Hauptleute, die zu ihr kamen, herrlich gekleidet, Reiter, hoch zu Ross, lauter junge hübsche Leute. 13 Da sah ich, dass sie beide auf gleiche Weise unrein geworden waren. 14 Aber diese trieb ihre Hurerei noch weiter. Denn sie sah Bilder von Männern an der Wand in roter Farbe, Bilder von Chaldäern, 15 um ihre Lenden gegürtet und bunte Turbane auf ihren Köpfen, ein Bild gewaltiger Kämpfer allesamt, wie eben die Söhne Babels sind, deren Vaterland Chaldäa ist. 16 Da entbrannte sie für sie, sobald sie die Bilder sah, und schickte Boten zu ihnen nach Chaldäa. 17 Und die Söhne Babels kamen zu ihr, um bei ihr zu schlafen, und machten sie unrein mit ihrer Hurerei, und sie machte sich unrein mit ihnen, bis sie ihrer müde wurde. 18 Als sie ihre Hurerei so offen trieb und ihre Schande so enthüllte, da wurde ich auch ihrer überdrüssig, wie ich ihrer Schwester müde geworden war. 19 Sie aber trieb ihre Hurerei immer schlimmer und dachte an die Zeit ihrer Jugend, als sie in Ägyptenland Hurerei getrieben hatte, 20 und entbrannte für ihre Liebhaber, deren Brunst war wie die der Esel und deren Rute wie die der Hengste. 21 Und du sehntest dich nach der Unzucht deiner Jugend, als die Ägypter nach deinen Brüsten griffen und deinen Busen betasteten. 22 Darum, Oholiba, so spricht Gott der HERR: Siehe, ich will deine Liebhaber, deren du müde geworden bist, gegen dich aufstehen lassen und will sie von überall her gegen dich zusammenbringen, 23 nämlich die Söhne Babels und alle Chaldäer, die von Pekod, Schoa und Koa und alle Assyrer mit ihnen, die schöne junge Mannschaft, lauter Statthalter und Hauptleute, Ritter und Edle, sie alle, Reiter, hoch zu Ross. 24 Und sie werden über dich kommen, gerüstet mit Rossen und Wagen und mit viel Kriegsvolk und werden dich ringsum belagern mit großen und kleinen Schilden und Helmen. Denen will ich den Rechtsfall vorlegen, dass sie dich richten sollen nach ihrem Recht. 25 Ich will meinen Eifer gegen dich richten, dass sie unbarmherzig an dir handeln sollen. Sie sollen dir Nase und Ohren abschneiden, und was von dir übrig bleibt, soll durchs Schwert fallen. Sie sollen deine Söhne und Töchter wegnehmen und, was von dir übrig bleibt, mit Feuer verbrennen. 26 Sie sollen dir deine Kleider ausziehen und deinen Schmuck wegnehmen. 27 So will ich deiner Unzucht und deiner Hurerei, die du schon in Ägyptenland getrieben hast, ein Ende machen, dass du deine Augen nicht mehr nach ihnen aufheben und an Ägypten nicht mehr denken sollst. 28 Denn so spricht Gott der HERR: Siehe, ich will dich denen preisgeben, denen du feind geworden und derer du müde bist. 29 Die sollen wie Feinde mit dir umgehen und alles nehmen, was du erworben hast, und dich nackt und bloß liegen lassen. Da soll die Schande deiner Hurerei und deine Unzucht und deine Buhlerei aufgedeckt werden. 30 Das soll dir angetan werden um deiner Hurerei willen, die du mit den Heiden getrieben, weil du dich mit ihren Götzen unrein gemacht hast. 31 Du bist auf dem Wege deiner Schwester gegangen, darum gebe ich dir auch ihren Kelch in die Hand. 32 So spricht Gott der HERR: Du musst den Kelch deiner Schwester trinken, so tief und weit er ist; du sollst zu so großem Spott und Hohn werden, dass es unerträglich sein wird. 33 Du musst dich mit starkem Trank und Jammer volltrinken; denn der Kelch deiner Schwester Samaria ist ein Kelch des Grauens und Entsetzens. (Jes 51,17) 34 Den musst du bis zur Neige austrinken, danach die Scherben ausschlürfen und deine Brüste zerreißen; denn ich habe es geredet, spricht Gott der HERR. 35 Darum, so spricht Gott der HERR: Weil du mich vergessen und mich verworfen hast, so trage nun auch du deine Unzucht und deine Hurerei! (Jer 2,32) 36 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, willst du nicht Ohola und Oholiba richten? Zeige ihnen ihre Gräueltaten: (Hes 20,4) 37 wie sie Ehebruch getrieben und Blut vergossen und die Ehe gebrochen haben mit ihren Götzen; und wie sie ihnen noch dazu ihre Kinder, die sie mir geboren hatten, zum Fraß darbrachten. (Hes 16,20) 38 Überdies haben sie mir das angetan: Sie haben noch am gleichen Tag mein Heiligtum unrein gemacht und meine Sabbate entheiligt. (Hes 8,5) 39 Denn als sie ihre Kinder den Götzen geschlachtet hatten, gingen sie noch am gleichen Tag in mein Heiligtum, es zu entheiligen. Siehe, so haben sie es in meinem Hause getrieben. 40 Sie haben sogar Boten geschickt nach Männern, die aus fernen Landen kommen sollten. Und siehe, als sie kamen, da badetest du dich und schminktest dich und schmücktest dich mit Geschmeide ihnen zu Ehren 41 und saßest auf einem herrlichen Polster, und ein Tisch war davor hergerichtet; darauf legtest du mein Räucherwerk und mein Öl. 42 Und es erhob sich in der Stadt ein großes Freudengeschrei über die Männer, weil solch eine Menge von Menschen herbeigebracht war aus Saba, aus der Wüste, und sie gaben ihnen Geschmeide an ihre Arme und schöne Kronen auf ihre Häupter. 43 Ich aber dachte: Sie ist das Ehebrechen gewohnt von alters her, sie kann das Huren nicht lassen. 44 Denn man ging zu ihr, wie man zu einer Hure geht; so ging man zu Ohola und Oholiba, den zuchtlosen Frauen. 45 Darum werden gerechte Männer sie richten nach dem Recht, das für Ehebrecherinnen und für Mörderinnen gilt; denn sie sind Ehebrecherinnen, und ihre Hände sind voll Blut. (Hes 16,38; Hes 16,40) 46 Denn so spricht Gott der HERR: Man berufe eine Versammlung gegen sie ein und gebe sie als Raub und Beute preis, 47 dass die Leute sie steinigen und mit ihren Schwertern erstechen und ihre Söhne und Töchter umbringen und ihre Häuser mit Feuer verbrennen. 48 So will ich der Unzucht im Lande ein Ende machen, dass alle Frauen sich warnen lassen und nicht nach solcher Unzucht tun. 49 Und man wird die Strafe für eure Unzucht auf euch legen, und ihr sollt tragen, was ihr mit euren Götzen gesündigt habt, und sollt erfahren, dass ich Gott der HERR bin.

1 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother. (Hes 2,1; Hes 16,45) 3 They played the whore in Egypt; they played the whore in their youth; there their breasts were pressed and their virgin bosoms^[1] handled. (Hes 16,15; Hes 16,22) 4 Oholah was the name of the elder and Oholibah the name of her sister. They became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Oholah is Samaria, and Oholibah is Jerusalem. 6 clothed in purple, governors and commanders, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses. (Jes 5,28; Hes 23,23; Hes 38,15) 7 She bestowed her whoring upon them, the choicest men of Assyria all of them, and she defiled herself with all the idols of everyone after whom she lusted. 8 She did not give up her whoring that she had begun in Egypt; for in her youth men had lain with her and handled her virgin bosom and poured out their whoring lust upon her. 11 “Her sister Oholibah saw this, and she became more corrupt than her sister^[2] in her lust and in her whoring, which was worse than that of her sister. (Jer 3,8; Jer 3,11; Hes 16,47) 12 She lusted after the Assyrians, governors and commanders, warriors clothed in full armor, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men. (Hes 23,6) 13 And I saw that she was defiled; they both took the same way. 14 But she carried her whoring further. 15 wearing belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them having the appearance of officers, a likeness of Babylonians whose native land was Chaldea. 16 When she saw them, she lusted after them and sent messengers to them in Chaldea. 18 When she carried on her whoring so openly and flaunted her nakedness, I turned in disgust from her, as I had turned in disgust from her sister. 19 Yet she increased her whoring, remembering the days of her youth, when she played the whore in the land of Egypt (Hes 16,15; Hes 23,3) 20 and lusted after her lovers there, whose members were like those of donkeys, and whose issue was like that of horses. 21 Thus you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when the Egyptians handled your bosom and pressed^[3] your young breasts.” 22 Therefore, O Oholibah, thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I will stir up against you your lovers from whom you turned in disgust, and I will bring them against you from every side: (Hes 16,37; Hes 23,17) 23 the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them, desirable young men, governors and commanders all of them, officers and men of renown, all of them riding on horses. (Jer 50,21; Hes 23,6; Hes 23,12) 24 And they shall come against you from the north^[4] with chariots and wagons and a host of peoples. They shall set themselves against you on every side with buckler, shield, and helmet; and I will commit the judgment to them, and they shall judge you according to their judgments. They shall cut off your nose and your ears, and your survivors shall fall by the sword. They shall seize your sons and your daughters, and your survivors shall be devoured by fire. 28 “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will deliver you into the hands of those whom you hate, into the hands of those from whom you turned in disgust, (Hes 16,37; Hes 23,17; Hes 23,22) 29 and they shall deal with you in hatred and take away all the fruit of your labor and leave you naked and bare, and the nakedness of your whoring shall be uncovered. 30 have brought this upon you, because you played the whore with the nations and defiled yourself with their idols. 36 The Lord said to me: “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Declare to them their abominations. (Hes 2,1; Hes 20,4; Hes 22,2) 37 For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. 48 Thus will I put an end to lewdness in the land, that all women may take warning and not commit lewdness as you have done.
