(1Mo 46,30)
1Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him. He cried, “Make everyone go out from me.” So no one stayed with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers. (1Mo 43,31; Est 5,10)2And he wept aloud, so that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard it.3And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were dismayed at his presence. (Apg 7,13)4So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” And they came near. And he said, “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. (1Mo 37,28)5And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. (1Mo 50,20; Ps 105,16)6For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest. (1Mo 41,30; 2Mo 34,21; 5Mo 21,4; 1Sam 8,12; Jes 30,24)7And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors.8So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt. (1Mo 41,43; 1Mo 45,26)9Hurry and go up to my father and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; do not tarry.10You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children’s children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have. (1Mo 46,34; 1Mo 47,1; 1Mo 47,4; 1Mo 47,6; 1Mo 47,11; 1Mo 47,27; 1Mo 50,8; 2Mo 8,22; Jos 10,41)11There I will provide for you, for there are yet five years of famine to come, so that you and your household, and all that you have, do not come to poverty.’ (1Mo 47,12; 1Mo 50,21)12And now your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth that speaks to you. (1Mo 42,23)13You must tell my father of all my honor in Egypt, and of all that you have seen. Hurry and bring my father down here.” (Apg 7,14)14Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept upon his neck.15And he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them. After that his brothers talked with him.16When the report was heard in Pharaoh’s house, “Joseph’s brothers have come,” it pleased Pharaoh and his servants.17And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: load your beasts and go back to the land of Canaan,18and take your father and your households, and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land.’ (1Mo 47,6)19And you, Joseph, are commanded to say, ‘Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. (1Mo 46,5)20Have no concern for[1] your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”21The sons of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey. (1Mo 45,19)22To each and all of them he gave a change of clothes, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels[2] of silver and five changes of clothes. (1Mo 43,34; 2Kön 5,5; 2Kön 5,22)23To his father he sent as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and provision for his father on the journey.24Then he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the way.” (1Mo 42,22)25So they went up out of Egypt and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.26And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them.27But when they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived. (1Mo 45,19; 1Mo 45,21; 1Mo 46,5)28And Israel said, “It is enough; Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

King James Version
1Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.2And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.3And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.4And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.5Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.6For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.7And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.8So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.9Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:10And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children' children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:11And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.12And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.13And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.14And he fell upon his brother Benjamin' neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.15Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.16And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh' house, saying, Joseph' brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.17And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;18And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.19Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.20Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.21And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.22To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.23And to his father he sent after this manner ; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.24So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.25And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,26And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob' heart fainted, for he believed them not.27And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:28And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
1Joseph couldn’t control himself anymore in front of all his attendants. He cried out, ‘Make everyone leave me!’ So there wasn’t anyone with Joseph when he told his brothers who he was.2He wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him. Everyone in Pharaoh’s house heard about it.3Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?’ But his brothers weren’t able to answer him. They were too afraid of him.4Joseph said to his brothers, ‘Come close to me.’ So they did. Then he said, ‘I am your brother Joseph. I’m the one you sold into Egypt.5But don’t be upset. And don’t be angry with yourselves because you sold me here. God sent me ahead of you to save many lives.6For two years now, there hasn’t been enough food in the land. And for the next five years, people won’t be ploughing or gathering crops.7But God sent me ahead of you to keep some of you alive on earth. He sent me here to save your lives by an act of mighty power.8‘So then, it wasn’t you who sent me here. It was God. He made me like a father to Pharaoh. He made me master of Pharaoh’s entire house. God made me ruler of the whole land of Egypt.9Now hurry back to my father. Say to him, “Your son Joseph says, ‘God has made me master of the whole land of Egypt. Come down to me. Don’t waste any time.10You will live in the area of Goshen. You, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and everything you have will be near me.11There I will provide everything you need. There are still five years to come when there won’t be enough food. If you don’t come down here, you and your family and everyone who belongs to you will lose everything.’ ”12‘My brothers, I am Joseph. You can see for yourselves that I am the one speaking to you. My brother Benjamin can see it too.13Tell my father about all the honour given to me in Egypt. Tell him about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.’14Then Joseph threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept. Benjamin also hugged him and wept.15Joseph kissed all his brothers and wept over them. After that, his brothers talked with him.16The news reached Pharaoh’s palace that Joseph’s brothers had come. Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.17Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘Here’s what I want you to tell your brothers. Say to them, “Load your animals. Return to the land of Canaan.18Bring your father and your families back to me. I’ll give you the best land in Egypt. You can enjoy all the good things in the land.”19‘And here’s something else I want you to tell them. Say to them, “Take some carts from Egypt. Your children and your wives can use them. Get your father and come back.20Don’t worry about the things you have back there. The best of everything in Egypt will belong to you.” ’21Then the sons of Israel did so. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded. He also gave them supplies for their journey.22He gave new clothes to each of them. But he gave Benjamin more than 3.5 kilograms of silver. He also gave him five sets of clothes.23He sent his father ten male donkeys loaded with the best things from Egypt. He also sent ten female donkeys loaded with corn and bread and other supplies for his journey.24Then Joseph sent his brothers away. As they were leaving he said to them, ‘Don’t argue on the way!’25So they went up out of Egypt. They came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.26They told him, ‘Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of the whole land of Egypt.’ Jacob was shocked. He didn’t believe them.27So they told him everything Joseph had said to them. Jacob saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back. That gave new life to their father Jacob.28Israel said, ‘I believe it now! My son Joseph is still alive. I’ll go and see him before I die.’
1Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, ‘Make everyone leave my presence!’ So there was no-one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.2And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh’s household heard about it.3Joseph said to his brothers, ‘I am Joseph! Is my father still living?’ But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.4Then Joseph said to his brothers, ‘Come close to me.’ When they had done so, he said, ‘I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!5And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.6For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no ploughing and reaping.7But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.[1]8‘So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.9Now hurry back to my father and say to him, “This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; don’t delay.10You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me – you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have.11I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.”12‘You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that it is really I who am speaking to you.13Tell my father about all the honour accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.’14Then he threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.15And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them. Afterwards his brothers talked with him.16When the news reached Pharaoh’s palace that Joseph’s brothers had come, Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.17Pharaoh said to Joseph, ‘Tell your brothers, “Do this: load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,18and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.”19‘You are also instructed to tell them, “Do this: take some carts from Egypt for your children and your wives, and get your father and come.20Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours.” ’21So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.22To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels[2] of silver and five sets of clothes.23And this is what he sent to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and other provisions for his journey.24Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, ‘Don’t quarrel on the way!’25So they went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.26They told him, ‘Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.’ Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.27But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.28And Israel said, ‘I’m convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.’
