Das Erbteil des Stammes Simeon

1 Danach fiel das zweite Los auf den Stamm Simeon nach seinen Geschlechtern; und ihr Erbteil war inmitten des Erbteils der Judäer. 

2 Und es ward ihnen zum Erbteil Beerscheba, Schema, Molada, 

3 Hazar-Schual, Baala, Ezem, 

4 Eltolad, Betul, Horma, 

5 Ziklag, Bet-Markabot, Hazar-Susa, 

6 Bet-Lebaot, Scharuhen. Das sind dreizehn Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

7 Ajin, Rimmon, Eter, Aschan. Das sind vier Städte mit ihren Gehöften, 

8 dazu alle Gehöfte, die um diese Städte liegen, bis Baalat-Beer; das ist Rama im Südland. Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes Simeon nach seinen Geschlechtern. 

9 Denn das Erbteil der Söhne Simeon ist von dem Anteil der Judäer genommen. Weil der Anteil der Judäer zu groß für sie war, darum erbten die Söhne Simeon mitten in deren Erbteil. 

Das Erbteil des Stammes Sebulon

10 Das dritte Los fiel auf die Söhne Sebulon nach ihren Geschlechtern. Und die Grenze ihres Erbteils war bis Sarid 

11 und geht hinauf westwärts nach Marala und stößt an Dabbeschet und dann an den Bach, der gegenüber von Jokneam fließt, 

12 und wendet sich von Sarid gegen Sonnenaufgang bis an das Gebiet Kislot-Tabor und läuft hin nach Daberat und reicht hinauf nach Jafia. 

13 Und von da geht sie gegen Sonnenaufgang nach Gat-Hefer und Et-Kazin und läuft hin nach Rimmon, neigt sich nach Nea 

14 und biegt um im Norden nach Hannaton und endet im Tal von Jiftach-El. 

15 Dazu Kattat, Nahalal, Schimron, Jidala und Bethlehem. Das sind zwölf Städte mit ihren Gehöften. (Ri 1,30) 

16 Das ist das Erbteil der Söhne Sebulon nach seinen Geschlechtern; das sind seine Städte und Gehöfte. 

Das Erbteil des Stammes Issachar

17 Auf die Söhne Issachar fiel das vierte Los nach ihren Geschlechtern. 

18 Und ihr Gebiet war Jesreel, Kesullot, Schunem, 

19 Hafarajim, Schion, Anaharat, 

20 Rabbit, Kischjon, Ebez, 

21 Remet, En-Gannim, En-Hadda, Bet-Pazzez; 

22 und die Grenze stößt an Tabor, Schahazajim, Bet-Schemesch, und ihr Ende ist am Jordan. Sechzehn Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

23 Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes Issachar nach seinen Geschlechtern, die Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

Das Erbteil des Stammes Asser

24 Das fünfte Los fiel auf den Stamm Asser nach seinen Geschlechtern. 

25 Und sein Gebiet war Helkat, Hali, Beten, Achschaf, 

26 Alammelech, Amad, Mischal, und die Grenze stößt im Westen an den Karmel und an den Fluss Libnat 

27 und wendet sich gegen Osten nach Bet-Dagon und stößt an Sebulon und an das Tal Jiftach-El nordwärts, stößt an Bet-Emek, Negiël und läuft hin nach Kabul zur Linken, 

28 Abdon, Rehob, Hammon, Kana bis nach Sidon, der großen Stadt, 

29 und wendet sich nach Rama bis zu der festen Stadt Tyrus und wendet sich nach Hosa und endet am Meer. Dazu Mahaleb, Achsib, (Ri 1,31) 

30 Umma, Afek, Rehob. Zweiundzwanzig Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

31 Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes Asser nach seinen Geschlechtern, die Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

Das Erbteil des Stammes Naftali

32 Auf die Söhne Naftali fiel das sechste Los nach ihren Geschlechtern. 

33 Und seine Grenze war von Helef, von der Eiche bei Zaanannim an, dazu Adami-Nekeb und Jabneel, bis Lakkum und endet am Jordan; 

34 und die Grenze wendet sich westwärts nach Asnot-Tabor und läuft von da nach Hukkok und stößt an Sebulon im Süden und an Asser im Westen und an den Jordan im Osten. 

35 Und feste Städte sind: Ziddim, Zer, Hammat, Rakkat, Kinneret, 

36 Adama, Rama, Hazor, 

37 Kedesch, Edreï, En-Hazor, 

38 Jiron, Migdal-El, Horem, Bet-Anat, Bet-Schemesch. Neunzehn Städte mit ihren Gehöften. (Ri 1,33) 

39 Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes Naftali nach seinen Geschlechtern, die Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

Das Erbteil des Stammes Dan

40 Das siebente Los fiel auf den Stamm Dan nach seinen Geschlechtern. 

41 Und das Gebiet seines Erbteils war Zora, Eschtaol, Ir-Schemesch, 

42 Schaalbim, Ajalon, Jitla, 

43 Elon, Timna, Ekron, (Jos 15,10) 

44 Elteke, Gibbeton, Baalat, 

45 Jehud, Bene-Berak, Gat-Rimmon, 

46 Me-Jarkon, Rakkon mit dem Gebiet bei Jafo. (Jon 1,3) 

47 Den Danitern aber ging ihr Gebiet verloren, und sie zogen hinauf und kämpften gegen Leschem und eroberten und schlugen es mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und nahmen es ein und wohnten darin und nannten es Dan nach ihres Vaters Namen. (Ri 18,27) 

48 Das ist das Erbteil des Stammes Dan nach seinen Geschlechtern, die Städte mit ihren Gehöften. 

49 Und als sie das ganze Land ausgeteilt hatten nach seinen Gebieten, gaben die Israeliten dem Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, ein Erbteil in ihrer Mitte 

50 und gaben ihm nach dem Befehl des HERRN die Stadt, die er forderte, nämlich Timnat-Serach auf dem Gebirge Ephraim. Dann baute er die Stadt auf und wohnte darin. (Jos 24,30; Ri 2,9) 

51 Das sind die Erbteile, die Eleasar, der Priester, und Josua, der Sohn Nuns, und die Häupter der Sippen unter den Stämmen Israels durchs Los austeilten in Silo vor dem HERRN, vor dem Eingang der Stiftshütte; und sie vollendeten so die Verteilung des Landes. (Jos 14,1; Jos 18,1)

Erbteil des Stammes Simeon

1 Und das zweite Los kam heraus für Simeon, für den Stamm der Söhne Simeon nach ihren Sippen. Und ihr Erbteil war mitten in dem Erbteil der Söhne Juda. (1Mo 35,23; 1Mo 49,7; Hes 48,24) 

2 Und es wurde ihnen zum Erbteil: Beerscheba, Scheba und Molada, 

3 Hazar-Schual, Baala und Ezem, 

4 Eltolad, Betul und Horma, 

5 Ziklag, Bet-Markabot und Hazar-Susa, (Jos 15,31) 

6 Bet-Lebaot und Scharuhen: dreizehn Städte und ihre Dörfer; 

7 Ajin, Rimmon, Eter und Aschan: vier Städte und ihre Dörfer; 

8 und alle Dörfer, die rings um diese Städte ⟨liegen⟩, bis Baalat-Beer, ⟨das ist⟩ Süd-Ramat. Das war das Erbteil des Stammes der Söhne Simeon nach ihren Sippen. (1Sam 30,27) 

9 Aus dem Anteil der Söhne Juda war das Erbteil der Söhne Simeon ⟨genommen⟩; denn das Teil der Söhne Juda war zu groß für sie. Und so erhielten die Söhne Simeon ein Erbteil mitten in deren Erbteil. (1Mo 49,7; 4Mo 26,54) 

Erbteil des Stammes Sebulon

10 Und das dritte Los kam heraus für die Söhne Sebulon nach ihren Sippen. Und die Grenze ihres Erbteils war bis Sarid. (1Mo 35,23; Hes 48,26) 

11 Und ihre Grenze stieg westwärts hinauf, und zwar nach Marala, und stieß an Dabbeschet und stieß an den Bach, der vor Jokneam ⟨fließt⟩. 

12 Und sie wandte sich von Sarid ostwärts gegen Sonnenaufgang zum Gebiet von Kislot-Tabor und verlief nach Daberat hin und stieg hinauf nach Jafia. (Jos 21,28) 

13 Von dort ging sie nach Osten hinüber gegen ⟨Sonnen⟩aufgang nach Gat-Hefer, nach Et-Kazin und lief nach Rimmon, das sich nach Nea hin erstreckt. (2Kön 14,25) 

14 Und die Grenze zog sich darum herum nördlich nach Hannaton und endete im Tal Jiftach-El; … 

15 und Kattat, Nahalal, Schimron, Jidala und Bethlehem: zwölf Städte und ihre Dörfer. (Jos 21,34; Jos 21,35; Ri 1,30; Ri 12,8) 

16 Das war das Erbteil der Söhne Sebulon nach ihren Sippen, diese Städte und ihre Dörfer. 

Erbteil des Stammes Issaschar

17 Für Issaschar kam das vierte Los heraus, für die Söhne Issaschar nach ihren Sippen. (1Mo 35,23; Hes 48,25) 

18 Und ihr Gebiet war: nach Jesreel hin Kesullot und Schunem, (Jos 17,16; 1Sam 28,4; 2Sam 2,9; 1Kön 1,3; 2Kön 4,8; 2Kön 8,29; Hos 1,4) 

19 Hafarajim, Schion und Anaharat, 

20 Rabbit, Kischjon und Ebez, (Jos 21,28) 

21 Remet, En-Gannim, En-Hadda und Bet-Pazzez. (Jos 21,29; 1Chr 6,58) 

22 Und die Grenze stieß an Tabor, Schahazajim, Bet-Schemesch, und ihre Grenze endete am Jordan: sechzehn Städte und ihre Dörfer. (Ri 4,6; 1Chr 6,62) 

23 Das war das Erbteil des Stammes der Söhne Issaschar nach ihren Sippen, die Städte und ihre Dörfer. 

Erbteil des Stammes Asser

24 Und das fünfte Los kam heraus für den Stamm der Söhne Asser nach ihren Sippen. (1Mo 35,26) 

25 Ihre Grenze war: Helkat, Hali, Beten und Achschaf, (Jos 21,31) 

26 Alammelech, Amad und Mischal. Sie stieß an den Karmel im Westen und an den Schihor-Libnat, (Jos 15,55; Jos 21,30; 1Kön 18,19; 2Kön 2,25; Jes 35,2) 

27 und sie kehrte um gegen Sonnenaufgang nach Bet-Dagon und stieß an Sebulon und an das Tal Jiftach-El im Norden, ⟨dann an⟩ Bet-Emek und Negiël, und sie lief links weiter nach Kabul, 

28 Ebron und Rehob, Hammon und Kana bis nach Sidon, der großen ⟨Stadt⟩. (Jos 21,31; Ri 1,31; Ri 18,28; Hes 28,21) 

29 Und die Grenze kehrte um nach Rama und bis zur befestigten Stadt Tyrus. Und die Grenze kehrte um nach Hosa, und sie endete am Meer von Hebel nach Achsib; … (Jos 18,25; Ri 1,31; 2Sam 5,11; 2Sam 24,7; 1Kön 5,15; Hes 28,21; Lk 10,13) 

30 und Umma, Afek und Rehob: 22 Städte und ihre Dörfer. (Ri 1,31; Hes 28,21) 

31 Das war das Erbteil des Stammes der Söhne Asser nach ihren Sippen, diese Städte und ihre Dörfer. (Hes 48,2) 

Erbteil des Stammes Naftali

32 Für die Söhne Naftali kam das sechste Los heraus, für die Söhne Naftali nach ihren Sippen. (1Mo 35,25) 

33 Und ihre Grenze war von Helef, von der Terebinthe bei Zaanannim, und Adami-Nekeb und Jabneel bis Lakkum, und sie endete am Jordan. (Ri 4,11) 

34 Und die Grenze wandte sich nach Westen in Richtung Asnot-Tabor und lief von dort nach Hukkok. Sie stieß im Süden an Sebulon, während sie im Westen an Asser stieß und an Juda am Jordan gegen Sonnenaufgang. 

35 Befestigte Städte waren: Ziddim, Zer und Hammat, Rakkat und Kinneret, (Jos 20,7; Jos 21,32; Ri 4,6; 2Kön 15,29) 

36 Adama, Rama und Hazor, (Jos 11,1) 

37 Kedesch, Edreï und En-Hazor, (Jos 20,7; Jos 21,32; Ri 4,6; 2Kön 15,29) 

38 Jiron und Migdal-El, Horem, Bet-Anat und Bet-Schemesch: neunzehn Städte und ihre Dörfer. (Jos 15,10; Ri 1,33)

40 Für den Stamm der Söhne Dan nach ihren Sippen kam das siebte Los heraus. (1Mo 35,25) 

41 Und das Gebiet ihres Erbteils war: Zora, Eschtaol und Ir-Schemesch, (Jos 15,33; Ri 13,25) 

42 Schaalbim und Ajalon und Jitla, (Jos 10,12; Ri 1,35; 2Sam 23,32; 1Kön 4,9) 

43 Elon, Timna und Ekron, (Jos 15,45; Jos 15,57; Ri 1,35; 2Sam 23,32; 1Kön 4,9) 

44 Elteke, Gibbeton und Baalat, (Jos 21,23; 1Kön 9,18; 1Kön 15,27) 

45 Jehud, Bene-Berak und Gat-Rimmon, (Jos 21,24; 2Sam 6,10) 

46 Me-Jarkon und Rakkon mit dem Gebiet gegenüber Jafo. (2Chr 2,15; Apg 9,36) 

47 Und das Gebiet der Söhne Dan ging ihnen ⟨verloren⟩. Und die Söhne Dan zogen hinauf und kämpften gegen Leschem; und sie nahmen es ein und schlugen es mit der Schärfe des Schwertes, nahmen es in Besitz und wohnten darin. 48 Das war das Erbteil des Stammes der Söhne Dan nach ihren Sippen, diese Städte und ihre Dörfer. (Hes 48,1) 

Erbteil des Josua

49 Als sie die Verteilung des Landes nach seinen ⟨einzelnen⟩ Gebieten vollendet hatten, gaben die Söhne Israel Josua, dem Sohn des Nun, ein Erbteil in ihrer Mitte. (Hes 45,7) 

50 Nach dem Befehl des HERRN gaben sie ihm die Stadt, die er forderte, Timnat-Serach im Gebirge Ephraim. Und er baute die Stadt und wohnte darin. (Jos 24,30; Ri 2,9; 1Kön 4,8) 

51 Das sind die Erbteile, die der Priester Eleasar und Josua, der Sohn des Nun, und die Familienoberhäupter der Stämme der Söhne Israel durch das Los austeilten in Silo vor dem HERRN, an dem Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung. Und so vollendeten sie die Verteilung des Landes. (4Mo 34,18; 4Mo 35,9; 5Mo 19,1; Jos 14,1; Jos 18,1)

New International Version

Land allotted to Simeon

1 The second lot came out for the tribe of Simeon according to its clans. Their inheritance lay within the territory of Judah. 

2 It included: Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah, (1Chr 4,28) 

3 Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem, 

4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah, 

5 Ziklag, Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susah, 

6 Beth Lebaoth and Sharuhen – thirteen towns and their villages; 

7 Ain, Rimmon, Ether and Ashan – four towns and their villages – 

8 and all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath Beer (Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Simeonites, according to its clans. 

9 The inheritance of the Simeonites was taken from the share of Judah, because Judah’s portion was more than they needed. So the Simeonites received their inheritance within the territory of Judah. 

Land allotted to Zebulun

10 The third lot came up for Zebulun according to its clans: The boundary of their inheritance went as far as Sarid. 

11 Going west it ran to Maralah, touched Dabbesheth, and extended to the ravine near Jokneam. 

12 It turned east from Sarid towards the sunrise to the territory of Kisloth Tabor and went on to Daberath and up to Japhia. 

13 Then it continued eastward to Gath Hepher and Eth Kazin; it came out at Rimmon and turned towards Neah. 

14 There the boundary went round on the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El. 

15 Included were Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah and Bethlehem. There were twelve towns and their villages. 

16 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of Zebulun, according to its clans. 

Land allotted to Issachar

17 The fourth lot came out for Issachar according to its clans. 

18 Their territory included: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem, 

19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath, 

20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez, 

21 Remeth, En Gannim, En Haddah and Beth Pazzez. 

22 The boundary touched Tabor, Shahazumah and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen towns and their villages. 

23 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, according to its clans. 

Land allotted to Asher

24 The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher according to its clans. 

25 Their territory included: Helkath, Hali, Beten, Akshaph, 

26 Allammelek, Amad and Mishal. On the west the boundary touched Carmel and Shihor Libnath. 

27 It then turned east towards Beth Dagon, touched Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah El, and went north to Beth Emek and Neiel, passing Kabul on the left. 

28 It went to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon. 

29 The boundary then turned back towards Ramah and went to the fortified city of Tyre, turned towards Hosah and came out at the Mediterranean Sea in the region of Akzib, 

30 Ummah, Aphek and Rehob. There were twenty-two towns and their villages. 

31 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Asher, according to its clans. 

Land allotted to Naphtali

32 The sixth lot came out for Naphtali according to its clans: 

33 Their boundary went from Heleph and the large tree in Zaanannim, passing Adami Nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum and ending at the Jordan. 

34 The boundary ran west through Aznoth Tabor and came out at Hukkok. It touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west and the Jordan on the east. 

35 The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth, 

36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor, 

37 Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor, 

38 Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath and Beth Shemesh. There were nineteen towns and their villages. 

39 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali, according to its clans. 

Land allotted to Dan

40 The seventh lot came out for the tribe of Dan according to its clans. 

41 The territory of their inheritance included: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh, 

42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah, 

43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron, 

44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath, 

45 Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon, 

46 Me Jarkon and Rakkon, with the area facing Joppa. 

47 (When the territory of the Danites was lost to them, they went up and attacked Leshem, took it, put it to the sword and occupied it. They settled in Leshem and named it Dan after their ancestor.) 

48 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, according to its clans. 

Land allotted to Joshua

49 When they had finished dividing the land into its allotted portions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them, 

50 as the Lord had commanded. They gave him the town he asked for – Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. And he built up the town and settled there. (Ri 2,9) 

51 These are the territories that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the tribal clans of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh in the presence of the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting. And so they finished dividing the land.

1 And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Judah. 

2 And they had in their inheritance Beersheba, or Sheba, and Moladah, 

3 And Hazarshual, and Balah, and Azem, 

4 And Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah, 

5 And Ziklag, and Bethmarcaboth, and Hazarsusah, 

6 And Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities and their villages: 

7 Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages: 

8 And all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. 

9 Out of the portion of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon: for the part of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had their inheritance within the inheritance of them. 

10 And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: and the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid: 

11 And their border went up toward the sea, and Maralah, and reached to Dabbasheth, and reached to the river that is before Jokneam; 

12 And turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chislothtabor, and then goeth out to Daberath, and goeth up to Japhia, 

13 And from thence passeth on along on the east to Gittahhepher, to Ittahkazin, and goeth out to Remmonmethoar to Neah; 

14 And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthahel: 

15 And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages. 

16 This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages. 

17 And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families. 

18 And their border was toward Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages. 

24 And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

26 And Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal; and reacheth to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath; 

27 And turneth toward the sunrising to Bethdagon, and reacheth to Zebulun, and to the valley of Jiphthahel toward the north side of Bethemek, and Neiel, and goeth out to Cabul on the left hand, 

28 And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon; 

29 And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib: 

30 Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities with their villages. 

31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages. 

32 The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families. 

33 And their coast was from Heleph, from Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and the outgoings thereof were at Jordan: 

34 And then the coast turneth westward to Aznothtabor, and goeth out from thence to Hukkok, and reacheth to Zebulun on the south side, and reacheth to Asher on the west side, and to Judah upon Jordan toward the sunrising. 

35 And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth, 

36 And Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor, 

37 And Kedesh, and Edrei, and Enhazor, 

38 And Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh; nineteen cities with their villages. 

39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities and their villages. 

40 And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families. 

41 And the coast of their inheritance was Zorah, and Eshtaol, and Irshemesh, 

42 And Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jethlah, 

43 And Elon, and Thimnathah, and Ekron, 

44 And Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath, 

45 And Jehud, and Beneberak, and Gathrimmon, 

46 And Mejarkon, and Rakkon, with the border before Japho. 

47 And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. 

48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages. 

49 When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: 

50 According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein. 

51 These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
