1A Icone, Paul et Barnabas entrèrent ensemble dans la synagogue des Juifs, et ils parlèrent de telle manière qu'une grande multitude de Juifs et de Grecs crurent.2Mais ceux des Juifs qui ne crurent point excitèrent et aigrirent les esprits des païens contre les frères.3Ils restèrent cependant assez longtemps à Icone, parlant avec assurance, appuyés sur le Seigneur, qui rendait témoignage à la parole de sa grâce et permettait qu'il se fît par leurs mains des prodiges et des miracles.4La population de la ville se divisa: les uns étaient pour les Juifs, les autres pour les apôtres.5Et comme les païens et les Juifs, de concert avec leurs chefs, se mettaient en mouvement pour les outrager et les lapider,6Paul et Barnabas, en ayant eu connaissance, se réfugièrent dans les villes de la Lycaonie, à Lystre et à Derbe, et dans la contrée d'alentour.7Et ils y annoncèrent la bonne nouvelle.8A Lystre, se tenait assis un homme impotent des pieds, boiteux de naissance, et qui n'avait jamais marché.9Il écoutait parler Paul. Et Paul, fixant les regards sur lui et voyant qu'il avait la foi pour être guéri,10dit d'une voix forte: Lève-toi droit sur tes pieds. Et il se leva d'un bond et marcha.11A la vue de ce que Paul avait fait, la foule éleva la voix, et dit en langue lycaonienne: Les dieux sous une forme humaine sont descendus vers nous.12Ils appelaient Barnabas Jupiter, et Paul Mercure, parce que c'était lui qui portait la parole.13Le prêtre de Jupiter, dont le temple était à l'entrée de la ville, amena des taureaux avec des bandelettes vers les portes, et voulait, de même que la foule, offrir un sacrifice.14Les apôtres Barnabas et Paul, ayant appris cela, déchirèrent leurs vêtements, et se précipitèrent au milieu de la foule,15en s'écriant: O hommes, pourquoi agissez-vous de la sorte? Le lendemain, il partit pour Derbe avec Barnabas.21Quand ils eurent évangélisé cette ville et fait un certain nombre de disciples, ils retournèrent à Lystre, à Icone et à Antioche,22fortifiant l'esprit des disciples, les exhortant à persévérer dans la foi, et disant que c'est par beaucoup de tribulations qu'il nous faut entrer dans le royaume de Dieu.23Ils firent nommer des anciens dans chaque Église, et, après avoir prié et jeûné, ils les recommandèrent au Seigneur, en qui ils avaient cru.24Traversant ensuite la Pisidie, ils vinrent en Pamphylie,25annoncèrent la parole à Perge, et descendirent à Attalie.26De là ils s'embarquèrent pour Antioche, d'où ils avaient été recommandés à la grâce de Dieu pour l'oeuvre qu'ils venaient d'accomplir.27Après leur arrivée, ils convoquèrent l'Église, et ils racontèrent tout ce que Dieu avait fait avec eux, et comment il avait ouvert aux nations la porte de la foi.28Et ils demeurèrent assez longtemps avec les disciples.

Die Heilung eines Lahmen in Lystra
8Und in Lystra saß ein Mann mit gebrechlichen Füßen, der von Geburt an gelähmt war und niemals hatte gehen können. (Ac 3:2)9Dieser hörte den Paulus reden; und als der ihn anblickte und sah, dass er Glauben hatte, geheilt zu werden, (Mt 9:28)10sprach er mit lauter Stimme: Steh aufrecht auf deine Füße! Und er sprang auf und ging umher. (Is 35:6; Ac 9:34)11Als aber die Volksmenge sah, was Paulus getan hatte, erhoben sie ihre Stimme und sprachen auf Lykaonisch: Die Götter sind Menschen gleich geworden und zu uns herabgekommen! (Ac 28:6)12Und sie nannten den Barnabas Zeus, den Paulus aber Hermes, weil er das Wort führte.13Und der Priester des Zeus, dessen Tempel sich vor ihrer Stadt befand, brachte Stiere und Kränze an die Tore und wollte samt dem Volk opfern. 19Es kamen aber aus Antiochia und Ikonium Juden herbei; die überredeten die Volksmenge und steinigten Paulus und schleiften ihn vor die Stadt hinaus in der Meinung, er sei gestorben. (Ac 9:16; Ac 13:45; Ac 13:50; Ac 14:2; 2Co 11:25)20Doch als ihn die Jünger umringten, stand er auf und ging in die Stadt. Und am folgenden Tag zog er mit Barnabas fort nach Derbe. (2Co 1:9; 2Co 6:9)21Und nachdem sie in dieser Stadt das Evangelium verkündigt und eine schöne Zahl Jünger gewonnen hatten, kehrten sie wieder nach Lystra und Ikonium und Antiochia zurück; (Ac 2:41)22dabei stärkten sie die Seelen der Jünger und ermahnten sie, unbeirrt im Glauben zu bleiben, und [sagten ihnen,] dass wir durch viele Bedrängnisse in das Reich Gottes eingehen müssen. 1And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.2But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.3Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.4But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.5And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,6They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:7And there they preached the gospel.8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet.
