Nehemiah 11

1 And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities. 

2 And the people blessed all the men, that willingly offered themselves to dwell at Jerusalem. 

3 Now these are the chief of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit , Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon' servants. 

4 And at Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah; Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalaleel, of the children of Perez; 

5 And Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Colhozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of Shiloni. 

6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt at Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men. 

7 And these are the sons of Benjamin; Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jesaiah. 

8 And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight. 

9 And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer: and Judah the son of Senuah was second over the city. 

10 Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin. 

11 Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house of God. 

12 And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah, 

13 And his brethren, chief of the fathers, two hundred forty and two: and Amashai the son of Azareel, the son of Ahasai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer, 

14 And their brethren, mighty men of valour, an hundred twenty and eight: and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of one of the great men. 

15 Also of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni; 

16 And Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chief of the Levites, had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God. 

17 And Mattaniah the son of Micha, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, was the principal to begin the thanksgiving in prayer: and Bakbukiah the second among his brethren, and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun. 

18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four. 

19 Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren that kept the gates, were an hundred seventy and two. 

20 And the residue of Israel, of the priests, and the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance. 

21 But the Nethinims dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gispa were over the Nethinims. 

22 The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, the singers were over the business of the house of God. 

23 For it was the king' commandment concerning them, that a certain portion should be for the singers, due for every day. 

24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabeel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king' hand in all matters concerning the people. 

25 And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt at Kirjatharba, and in the villages thereof, and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof, and at Jekabzeel, and in the villages thereof, 

26 And at Jeshua, and at Moladah, and at Bethphelet, 

27 And at Hazarshual, and at Beersheba, and in the villages thereof, 

28 And at Ziklag, and at Mekonah, and in the villages thereof, 

29 And at Enrimmon, and at Zareah, and at Jarmuth, 

30 Zanoah, Adullam, and in their villages, at Lachish, and the fields thereof, at Azekah, and in the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Beersheba unto the valley of Hinnom. 

31 The children also of Benjamin from Geba dwelt at Michmash, and Aija, and Bethel, and in their villages, 

32 And at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah, 

33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim, 

34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, 

35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen. 

36 And of the Levites were divisions in Judah, and in Benjamin.

1 Und die Obersten des Volkes wohnten in Jerusalem; das übrige Volk aber warf das Los, wonach jeder zehnte Mann in der heiligen Stadt wohnen sollte, die übrigen neun Zehntel aber in den [übrigen] Städten [des Landes]. (Jos 18:6; Jos 18:8; Jos 18:10; Jos 23:4; Ne 7:4; Ne 11:18; Ps 87:1; Pr 18:18; Isa 52:1; Mt 4:5; Mt 27:53) 

2 Und das Volk segnete alle Männer, die freiwillig in Jerusalem wohnen wollten. (De 24:13; Jud 5:9; Job 29:13; Job 31:20; 2Co 8:16) 

3 Dies sind die Obersten der Provinz, die in Jerusalem wohnten. In den Städten Judas aber wohnten, jeder in seiner Besitzung, in ihren Städten: Israel, die Priester, die Leviten, die Tempeldiener und die Söhne der Knechte Salomos. (1Ch 9:1; Ezr 2:36; Ezr 2:40; Ezr 2:43; Ezr 2:55; Ne 7:7) 

4 Es wohnten aber in Jerusalem Söhne von Juda und Söhne von Benjamin. Von den Söhnen Judas: Ataja, der Sohn Ussijas, des Sohnes Secharjas, des Sohnes Amarjas, des Sohnes Schephatjas, des Sohnes Mahalaleels, von den Söhnen des Perez, (1Ch 9:3) 

5 und Maaseja, der Sohn Baruchs, des Sohnes Kol-Hoses, des Sohnes Hassajas, des Sohnes Adajas, des Sohnes Jojaribs, des Sohnes Secharjas, von den Silonitern. (1Ch 9:5) 

6 Die Gesamtzahl der Söhne des Perez, die in Jerusalem wohnten, war 468, tüchtige Männer. (Ne 11:4) 

7 Und dies sind die Söhne Benjamins: Sallu, der Sohn Meschullams, des Sohnes Joeds, des Sohnes Pedajas, des Sohnes Kolajas, des Sohnes Maasejas, des Sohnes Itiels, des Sohnes Jesajas; (1Ch 9:7) 

8 und nach ihm Gabbai, Sallai, [zusammen] 928. 

9 Und Joel, der Sohn Sichris, war der Aufseher über sie; und Juda, der Sohn Hassenuas, war der Zweite über die Stadt. (Ne 11:1)

13 und seine Brüder, die Familienhäupter, waren [insgesamt] 242. Und Amassai, der Sohn Asareels, des Sohnes Achsais, des Sohnes Meschillemots, des Sohnes Immers; (Ne 11:1; Ne 11:3) 

14 und ihre Brüder, tüchtige Männer, waren [insgesamt] 128. Und ihr Aufseher war Sabdiel, der Sohn Hagedolims. (Ge 47:6; 1Ch 9:13) 

15 Von den Leviten: Schemaja, der Sohn Haschubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Bunnis. (1Ch 9:14) 

16 Und Sabbetai und Josabad, von den Häuptern der Leviten, waren über die äußeren Geschäfte des Hauses Gottes [gesetzt]. (Ezr 8:33; Ezr 10:23; Ne 8:7) 

17 Und Mattanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Asaphs, war das Oberhaupt; er hatte die Danksagung im Gebet anzustimmen; und Bakbukja, der zweite unter seinen Brüdern, und Abda, der Sohn Sammuas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns. (1Ch 16:4; 1Ch 25:1; Col 3:16) 

18 Die Gesamtzahl aller Leviten in der heiligen Stadt betrug 284. (Ne 11:1; Da 9:24; Re 21:2) 

19 Und die Torhüter Akkub, Talmon und ihre Brüder, die bei den Toren Wache hielten, waren [insgesamt] 172. (1Ch 9:17) 

20 Die übrigen von Israel, von den Priestern und den Leviten, wohnten in allen Städten Judas, jeder in seinem Erbteil. (Ne 11:1) 

21 Und die Tempeldiener wohnten auf dem Ophel; und Ziha und Gispa waren über die Tempeldiener eingesetzt. (Ne 3:26; Ne 7:46) 

22 Der Aufseher über die Leviten in Jerusalem aber war Ussi, der Sohn Banis, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Mattanjas, des Sohnes Michas, von den Söhnen Asaphs, die den Dienst im Haus Gottes mit Gesang begleiteten. 

23 Denn es bestand eine königliche Verordnung über sie, und es war eine bestimmte Gebühr für die Sänger festgesetzt, für jeden Tag. (Ezr 6:8; Ezr 7:20) 

24 Und Petachja, der Sohn Mesesabeels, von den Söhnen Serachs, des Sohnes Judas, war der Bevollmächtigte des Königs in allem, was das Volk betraf. (Ge 38:30; Ge 46:12) 

25 Was aber die Dörfer auf dem Land betrifft, so wohnten etliche von den Kindern Judas in Kirjat-Arba und seinen Nebenorten, in Dibon und in seinen Nebenorten, in Jekabzeel und seinen Höfen; (Jos 14:15; Jos 15:22) 

26 in Jeschua, in Molada, in Beth-Palet, (Jos 15:26; Jos 15:27) 

27 in Hazar-Schual, in Beerscheba und seinen Nebenorten; (Jos 15:28; Jos 19:3) 

28 in Ziklag, in Mechona und seinen Nebenorten; (Jos 15:31) 

29 in En-Rimmon, in Zorea, in Jarmut, (Jos 15:32) 

30 in Sanoach, in Adullam und seinen Höfen; in Lachis und seinem Gebiet; in Aseka und seinen Tochterstädten. Und sie ließen sich nieder von Beerscheba bis zum Tal Hinnom; (Jos 15:8; Jos 15:39) 

31 die Kinder Benjamins aber wohnten von Geba an in Michmas und Aja und in Bethel und seinen Tochterstädten; (Ne 7:30) 

32 in Anatot, Nob, Ananja, (Jos 21:18; 1Sa 21:1) 

33 Hazor, Rama, Gittaim, (Jos 15:25; Jos 18:25; 2Sa 4:3; 2Sa 13:23; Ezr 2:26; Ne 7:30) 

34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat, (1Sa 13:8; Ne 7:37) 

35 Lod und Ono, im Tal der Handwerker. (1Ch 4:14; 1Ch 22:15; Ezr 3:7; Ne 7:37)
