1 Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. 2 O my soul , thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; 3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. 4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god : their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. 5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places ; yea, I have a goodly heritage. 7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. 8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Zuflucht bei Gott

1 Ein Gedicht von David. „Beschütze mich, Gott, ich vertraue auf dich!“ 2 Ich sagte zu Jahwe: „Du bist mein Herr! / Du bist mein einziges Glück!“ 3 Ich freue mich an den Heiligen im Land, / denn an denen zeigt sich Gottes Herrlichkeit. 4 Schwer gestraft sind die, die hinter Götzen her sind. / Für Götzen spende ich niemals Trankopferblut, / und nie kommt ihr Name in meinen Mund. 5 „Mein Hab und Gut bist du, Jahwe, / und auch meine Zukunft gehört dir! 6 Ein herrliches Land hast du mir zugeteilt, / einen wunderschönen Besitz!“ 7 Ich lobe Jahwe, der mich beraten hat! / Selbst nachts erinnert mich mein Gewissen daran. 8 Ich habe ihn mir immer vor Augen gestellt. / Und weil Jahwe mir beisteht, stehe ich fest. 9 Darum freue ich mich sehr: / Mein Herz ist von Jubel erfüllt. / Auch mein Körper ruht in Sicherheit. 10 „Denn mein Leben überlässt du nicht dem Totenreich, / dein treuer Diener wird die Verwesung nicht sehen. 11 Du zeigst mir den Weg, der zum Leben hinführt. / Und wo du bist, hört die Freude nie auf. / Aus deiner Hand kommt ewiges Glück.“^[1] (Ac 2:25; Ac 13:35)

Le chemin de la vie

1 Un cantique^[1] de David. O Dieu, protège-moi, ╵car je me réfugie en toi. 2 Je dis à l’Eternel: ╵« Toi, tu es mon Seigneur, et mon bonheur est en toi seul. » 3 Je suis plein d’affection ╵pour tous ceux qui sont saints ╵dans le pays: ce sont eux qui sont vraiment grands. 4 Mais tous ceux qui s’empressent ╵après un autre dieu ne font qu’augmenter leurs tourments^[2]. Je ne prendrai pas part ╵à leurs sanglantes libations^[3]. Le nom de ces idoles ╵ne passera pas sur mes lèvres. 5 L’Eternel est ma part ╵et la coupe^[4] où je bois. Tu garantis la part que j’ai reçue. 6 Tu en as fixé les limites^[5], ╵c’est un jardin plein de délices, oui, c’est pour moi ╵un patrimoine merveilleux. 7 Oui, je veux bénir l’Eternel ╵qui me conseille, et même dans la nuit, ╵je suis instruit ╵dans mon être intérieur. 8 Je garde constamment ╵les yeux fixés sur l’Eternel, car il est à ma droite^[6], ╵pour que je ne vacille pas^[7]. (Ps 109:31; Ac 2:25) 9 Voilà pourquoi ╵mon cœur est dans la joie, mon âme exulte d’allégresse. Ainsi mon corps ╵repose dans la confiance: 10 tu ne m’abandonneras pas ╵dans le séjour des morts, tu ne laisseras pas ╵un homme qui t’est attaché ╵descendre dans la tombe^[8].
