1And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;2The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;3And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.4And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.5And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month , on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.6And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:7And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.8Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;9But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.10And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;11And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.12And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.13And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month , the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.14And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.15And God spake unto Noah, saying,16Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons'wives with thee.17Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.18And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons'wives with him:19Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.20And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.21And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man' sake; for the imagination of man' heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.22While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Da kehrte sie zu ihm zurück. Er langte mit dem Arm hinaus und holte sie wieder in die Arche.10Dann wartete er weitere sieben Tage und ließ sie noch einmal fliegen.11Gegen Abend kam die Taube. Im Schnabel hatte sie ein frisch abgerissenes Olivenblatt. Noah erkannte jetzt, dass sich das Wasser von der Erde verlaufen hatte.12Er wartete noch einmal sieben Tage und ließ die Taube wieder hinaus. Jetzt kehrte sie nicht mehr zu ihm zurück.13Im 601. Lebensjahr Noahs, am ersten Tag des ersten Monats, war das Wasser von der Erde abgetrocknet. Als Noah jetzt das Dach der Arche entfernte und Ausschau hielt, sah er, dass kein Wasser mehr auf der Erde stand.14Am 27. Tag des zweiten Monats war die Erde trocken.15Da sagte Gott zu Noah:16„Verlass jetzt die Arche mit deiner Frau, deinen Söhnen und ihren Frauen.17Und lass alle Tiere, die bei dir sind, mit hinausziehen: die Vögel, das Herdenvieh und alles, was sich auf der Erde regt. Sie sollen fruchtbar sein und sich vermehren. Auf der Erde soll es wieder wimmeln von ihnen.“18Da ging Noah mit seinen Söhnen, seiner Frau und seinen Schwiegertöchtern ins Freie.19Auch alle Arten von Tieren, alles, was kriecht und fliegt und sich auf der Erde regt, zog aus der Arche.20Dann baute Noah Jahwe einen Altar. Dort opferte er ihm einige von den reinen Tieren und Vögeln als Brandopfer.21Jahwe roch den angenehmen Duft und sagte sich: „Nicht noch einmal werde ich nur wegen des Menschen den Erdboden verfluchen. Alles, was aus seinem Herzen kommt, ist ja böse – von seiner frühesten Jugend an. Nicht noch einmal werde ich alles Lebendige auslöschen, wie ich es tat.22Von jetzt an, / solange die Erde besteht, / soll nicht aufhören: / Saat und Ernte, / Frost und Hitze, / Sommer und Winter, / Tag und Nacht.“

Au bout des cent cinquante jours, elles commencèrent à baisser.4Le dix-septième jour du septième mois, le bateau s’échoua dans le massif montagneux d’Ararat.5Les eaux continuèrent à baisser jusqu’au dixième mois; le premier jour de ce mois, les sommets des montagnes apparurent.6Quarante jours après, Noé ouvrit la fenêtre qu’il avait ménagée dans le bateau7et lâcha un corbeau; celui-ci s’envola, il revint et repartit à plusieurs reprises jusqu’à ce que les eaux se soient résorbées sur la terre.8Puis Noé lâcha une colombe pour voir si les eaux avaient baissé sur la terre;9mais n’ayant pas trouvé où se poser, celle-ci revint vers lui dans le bateau, car toute la terre était encore inondée. Noé tendit la main, prit la colombe et la ramena auprès de lui dans le bateau.10Il attendit encore sept autres jours et lâcha de nouveau la colombe hors du bateau;11elle revint vers lui sur le soir, tenant dans son bec une feuille d’olivier toute fraîche; Noé sut ainsi que les eaux s’étaient résorbées sur la terre.12Il attendit encore sept autres jours et relâcha la colombe; cette fois, elle ne revint plus vers lui.13L’an 601 de la vie de Noé, le premier jour du premier mois, les eaux s’étaient retirées sur la terre, Noé enleva la couverture du bateau; il regarda dehors et constata que la surface du sol avait séché.14Le vingt-septième jour du deuxième mois, la terre était sèche.15Alors Dieu dit à Noé:16Sors du bateau avec ta femme, tes fils et tes belles-filles.17Fais sortir aussi tous les animaux de toutes sortes qui sont avec toi: les oiseaux, les bestiaux et toutes les bêtes qui se meuvent à ras de terre: qu’ils prolifèrent sur la terre, et qu’ils s’y reproduisent et s’y multiplient.18Noé sortit avec ses fils, sa femme et ses belles-filles.19Tous les animaux, les bêtes qui se meuvent à ras de terre et les oiseaux, tous les êtres qui remuent sur la terre sortirent du bateau par familles.20Noé érigea un autel pour l’Eternel, il prit de tous les animaux purs et de tous les oiseaux purs, et les offrit en holocauste[1] sur l’autel. (Le 1:1)21L’Eternel sentit le parfum apaisant du sacrifice[2] et se dit en lui-même: Jamais plus je ne maudirai la terre à cause de l’homme, puisque le cœur de l’homme est porté au mal dès son enfance, et je ne détruirai plus tous les êtres vivants comme je viens de le faire.22Aussi longtemps ╵que durera la terre, semailles et moissons, froid et chaleur, été, hiver, et jour et nuit jamais ne cesseront.
