1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.14For the body is not one member, but many.15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.19And if they were all one member, where were the body?20But now are they many members, yet but one body.21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1Cu privire la darurile duhovnicești, fraților, nu vreau să fiți în necunoștință.2Voi știți că, atunci când erați dintre neamuri, erați ademeniți spre idolii cei muți, după cum erați călăuziți.3De aceea, vă fac cunoscut că nimeni care vorbește prin Duhul lui Dumnezeu nu spune: „Isus să fie blestemat[1]!“ și, de asemenea, nimeni nu poate să spună: „Isus este Domn!“ decât prin Duhul Sfânt. (Le 27:28)4Există o diversitate de daruri,[2] însă este Același Duh.5Există o diversitate de slujiri, însă este Același Domn.6Există o diversitate de lucrări, însă este Același Dumnezeu, Cel Care le înfăptuiește pe toate în toți.7Și fiecăruia îi este dată manifestarea Duhului pentru folosul tuturor.8Unuia îi este dat, prin Duhul, cuvântul înțelepciunii, altuia cuvântul cunoașterii, potrivit Aceluiași Duh,9altuia credință, prin Același Duh, altuia daruri de vindecare, prin Unul și Același Duh,10altuia puterea de a înfăptui minuni, altuia profeția, altuia discernerea duhurilor, altuia vorbirea în felurite limbi, altuia traducerea limbilor.11Toate acestea le înfăptuiește Unul și Același Duh, Care oferă fiecăruia în parte, după cum voiește.
Un singur trup, mai multe mădulare
12Căci, așa cum trupul este unul și are multe mădulare, iar toate mădularele trupului, deși sunt multe, sunt un singur trup, la fel este și Cristos.13Într-adevăr, noi toți am fost botezați într‑un[3] singur Duh, ca să fim un singur trup, fie iudei, fie greci, fie sclavi, fie oameni liberi, și la toți ni s‑a dat să bem dintr‑un singur Duh.14Căci trupul nu este alcătuit numai dintr‑un singur mădular, ci din mai multe.15Dacă piciorul ar spune: „Pentru că nu sunt mână, nu sunt din trup“, nu este tocmai de aceea parte din trup?16Dacă urechea ar spune: „Pentru că nu sunt ochi, nu sunt din trup“, nu este tocmai de aceea parte din trup?17Dacă întreg trupul ar fi ochi, unde ar fi auzul? Dacă întreg trupul ar fi auz, unde ar fi mirosul?18De fapt, când Dumnezeu a așezat mădularele, le‑a pus pe fiecare în parte în trup așa cum a vrut El.19Dacă însă toate ar fi un singur mădular, unde ar fi trupul?20De aceea sunt mai multe mădulare, dar un singur trup.21Ochiul nu‑i poate spune mâinii: „N‑am nevoie de tine!“, iar capul nu le poate spune picioarelor: „N‑am nevoie de voi!“22Dimpotrivă, cu atât mai mult acele mădulare ale trupului care par a fi mai slabe sunt necesare,23iar acele mădulare ale trupului care ni se par a fi mai puțin demne de cinste le îmbrăcăm cu mai multă cinste. Și mădularele noastre mai puțin plăcute au parte de mai multă frumusețe,24pe când mădularele noastre cele plăcute nu au nevoie de aceasta. Dumnezeu a întocmit trupul în așa fel încât a dat o mai mare cinste mădularelor lipsite de cinste,25ca să nu fie nicio dezbinare în trup, ci mădularele să aibă aceeași grijă unele față de celelalte.26Dacă un mădular suferă, toate mădularele suferă împreună cu el; dacă un mădular este prețuit, toate mădularele se bucură împreună cu el.27Voi sunteți trupul lui Cristos și fiecare în parte este un mădular al lui.28Și Dumnezeu a pus în biserică mai întâi apostoli, în al doilea rând profeți, în al treilea rând învățători, apoi minunile, apoi darurile vindecărilor, ajutorările, darurile de conducere și vorbirea în felurite limbi.29Sunt oare toți apostoli? Sunt toți profeți? Sunt toți învățători? Sunt toți înfăptuitori de minuni?30Au toți darurile vindecărilor? Vorbesc toți în limbi? Traduc oare toți?31Râvniți deci după darurile cele mai mari[4]. Vă voi arăta totuși o cale fără asemănare.
