Psalm 23

King James Version

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name' sake.4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalm 23

New International Reader’s Version

from Biblica
1 The LORD is my shepherd. He gives me everything I need.2 He lets me lie down in fields of green grass. He leads me beside quiet waters.3 He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths for the honour of his name.4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid. You are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff comfort me.5 You prepare a feast for me right in front of my enemies. You pour oil on my head. My cup runs over.6 I am sure that your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life. And I will live in the house of the LORD for ever.
