Behüte mich, Gott, denn bei dir such’ ich Zuflucht!2Ich sage zu Gott: »Mein Allherr bist du, es gibt nichts Gutes[1] für mich außer dir«;3und von den Heiligen[2] im Lande (sag ich): »Dies sind die Edlen, an denen mein ganzes Herz hängt.«4Vielfaches Leid erwächst den Verehrern anderer (Götter): ich mag ihre Bluttrankopfer nicht spenden und ihre Namen nicht auf meine Lippen nehmen.5Der HERR ist mein Erbgut und Becherteil; du bist’s, der mein Los[3] mir sichert.
