1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 

2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 

3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 

4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 

6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. 

7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. 

8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; 

9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 

11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. 

12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 

13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 

14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 

15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. 

16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 

17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. 

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 

19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 

24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 

25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 

28 And I will give him the morning star. 

29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Die sieben Sendschreiben

1 Dem Engel der Gemeinde in Ephesus schreibe: Das sagt, der da hält die sieben Sterne in seiner Rechten, der da wandelt mitten unter den sieben goldenen Leuchtern: (Ac 18:19) 

2 Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Mühsal und deine Geduld und weiß, dass du die Bösen nicht ertragen kannst; und du hast die geprüft, die sagen, sie seien Apostel und sind’s nicht, und hast sie als Lügner befunden (1Jo 4:1) 

3 und hast Geduld und hast um meines Namens willen die Last getragen und bist nicht müde geworden. 

4 Aber ich habe gegen dich, dass du deine erste Liebe verlassen hast. (Mt 24:12) 

5 Denke nun daran, aus welcher Höhe du gefallen bist, und tue Buße und tue die ersten Werke! Wenn aber nicht, werde ich über dich kommen und deinen Leuchter wegstoßen von seiner Stätte – wenn du nicht Buße tust. (Re 3:19) 

6 Aber das hast du für dich, dass du die Werke der Nikolaïten hassest, die auch ich hasse. (Ps 139:21; Re 15:1) 

7 Wer Ohren hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt! Wer überwindet, dem will ich zu essen geben von dem Baum des Lebens, der im Paradies Gottes ist. (Ge 2:9; Mt 11:15; Re 22:2; Re 22:19) 

8 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Smyrna schreibe: Das sagt der Erste und der Letzte, der tot war und ist lebendig geworden: (Ro 14:9; Re 1:17) 

9 Ich kenne deine Bedrängnis und deine Armut – du bist aber reich – und die Lästerung von denen, die sagen, sie seien Juden, und sind’s nicht, sondern sind die Versammlung des Satans. (2Co 6:10; Re 3:9) 

10 Fürchte dich nicht vor dem, was du leiden wirst! Siehe, der Teufel wird einige von euch ins Gefängnis werfen, damit ihr versucht werdet, und ihr werdet in Bedrängnis sein zehn Tage. Sei getreu bis an den Tod, so will ich dir die Krone des Lebens geben. (Mt 10:28; 2Ti 4:8; 1Pe 5:4; Re 3:11) 

11 Wer Ohren hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt! Wer überwindet, dem soll kein Leid geschehen von dem zweiten Tode. (Re 20:14) 

12 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Pergamon schreibe: Das sagt, der da hat das scharfe, zweischneidige Schwert: (Heb 4:12; Re 1:16) 

13 Ich weiß, wo du wohnst: da, wo der Thron des Satans ist; und du hältst an meinem Namen fest und hast den Glauben an mich nicht verleugnet, auch nicht in den Tagen, als Antipas, mein treuer Zeuge, bei euch getötet wurde, da, wo der Satan wohnt. 

14 Weniges aber habe ich gegen dich: Du hast Leute dort, die sich an die Lehre Bileams halten, der den Balak lehrte, ein Ärgernis aufzurichten vor den Israeliten, vom Götzenopfer zu essen und Hurerei zu treiben. (Nu 31:16; 2Pe 2:15; Jud 1:11) 

15 So hast du auch Leute, die sich in gleicher Weise an die Lehre der Nikolaïten halten. (Re 6:1) 

16 Tue nun Buße; wenn aber nicht, so werde ich bald über dich kommen und gegen sie streiten mit dem Schwert meines Mundes. 

17 Wer Ohren hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt! Wer überwindet, dem will ich geben von dem verborgenen Manna und will ihm geben einen weißen Stein; und auf den Stein ist ein neuer Name geschrieben, den niemand kennt als der, der ihn empfängt. (Ex 16:1; Isa 62:2; Re 19:12) 

18 Und dem Engel der Gemeinde in Thyatira schreibe: Das sagt der Sohn Gottes, der Augen hat wie Feuerflammen und seine Füße sind wie Golderz: (Ac 16:14; Re 1:14) 

19 Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Liebe und deinen Glauben und deinen Dienst und deine Geduld und weiß, dass du je länger, je mehr tust. (1Th 1:3) 

20 Aber ich habe gegen dich, dass du Isebel duldest, die Frau, die sagt, sie sei eine Prophetin, und lehrt und verführt meine Knechte, Hurerei zu treiben und Götzenopfer zu essen. (1Ki 16:31; 2Ki 9:22) 

21 Und ich habe ihr Zeit gegeben, Buße zu tun, und sie will sich nicht bekehren von ihrer Hurerei. 

22 Siehe, ich werfe sie aufs Bett und mit ihr jene, die die Ehe gebrochen haben, ich stürze sie in große Trübsal, wenn sie sich nicht bekehren von Isebels Werken, 

23 und ihre Kinder will ich mit dem Tode schlagen. Und alle Gemeinden sollen erkennen, dass ich der bin, der Nieren und Herzen erforscht, und ich werde geben einem jeden von euch nach euren Werken. (Ps 7:10; Jer 11:20; Jer 17:10; Ro 2:6; Re 22:12) 

24 Euch aber sage ich, den andern in Thyatira, die solche Lehre nicht haben, die nicht erkannt haben die Tiefen des Satans, wie sie sagen: Ich werfe keine andere Last auf euch; 

25 doch was ihr habt, das haltet fest, bis ich komme. (Re 3:11) 

26 Und wer überwindet und meine Werke bewahrt bis ans Ende, dem will ich Macht geben über die Völker, 

27 und er soll sie weiden mit eisernem Stabe – wie die tönernen Gefäße werden sie zerschmissen –, (Ps 2:8; Re 12:5; Re 19:15) 

28 wie auch ich Macht empfangen habe von meinem Vater; und ich will ihm geben den Morgenstern. (Re 22:16) 

29 Wer Ohren hat, der höre, was der Geist den Gemeinden sagt!
