1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. 

2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 

3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 

4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 

5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 

6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 

7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 

8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 

9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. 

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. 

31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 

32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. 

33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. 

34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: 

35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. 

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. 

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 

51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 

52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. 

53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 

54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 

55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

2 Und es versammelte sich eine große Menge bei ihm, sodass er in ein Boot stieg und sich setzte, und alles Volk stand am Ufer. 

Vom Sämann

3 Und er redete vieles zu ihnen in Gleichnissen und sprach: Siehe, es ging ein Sämann aus zu säen. (Mr 4:2; Lu 8:4) 

4 Und indem er säte, fiel etliches an den Weg; da kamen die Vögel und fraßen’s auf. 

5 Anderes fiel auf felsigen Boden, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte, und ging bald auf, weil es keine tiefe Erde hatte. 

6 Als aber die Sonne aufging, verwelkte es, und weil es keine Wurzel hatte, verdorrte es. 

7 Anderes fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen wuchsen empor und erstickten’s. 

8 Anderes fiel auf das gute Land und brachte Frucht, etliches hundertfach, etliches sechzigfach, etliches dreißigfach. 

9 Wer Ohren hat, der höre! (Mt 11:15) 

Vom Sinn der Gleichnisse

10 Und die Jünger traten hinzu und sprachen zu ihm: Warum redest du zu ihnen in Gleichnissen? (Mr 4:10; Lu 8:9) 

11 Er antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Euch ist’s gegeben, zu wissen die Geheimnisse des Himmelreichs, diesen aber ist’s nicht gegeben. (1Co 2:10) 

12 Denn wer da hat, dem wird gegeben, dass er die Fülle habe; wer aber nicht hat, dem wird auch das genommen, was er hat. (Pr 9:9; Mt 25:28; Mr 4:25) 

13 Darum rede ich zu ihnen in Gleichnissen. Denn mit sehenden Augen sehen sie nicht und mit hörenden Ohren hören sie nicht; und sie verstehen es nicht. (De 29:3; Joh 16:25) 

14 Und an ihnen wird die Weissagung Jesajas erfüllt, die da sagt: »Mit den Ohren werdet ihr hören und werdet nicht verstehen; und mit sehenden Augen werdet ihr sehen und werdet nicht erkennen. (Joh 12:40; Ac 28:26) 

15 Denn das Herz dieses Volkes ist verfettet, und mit ihren Ohren hören sie schwer, und ihre Augen haben sie geschlossen, auf dass sie nicht mit den Augen sehen und mit den Ohren hören und mit dem Herzen verstehen und sich bekehren, dass ich sie heile.« (Joh 9:39) 

16 Aber selig sind eure Augen, dass sie sehen, und eure Ohren, dass sie hören. (Lu 10:23) 

17 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Gerechte haben begehrt, zu sehen, was ihr seht, und haben’s nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr hört, und haben’s nicht gehört. (1Pe 1:10) 

Die Deutung des Gleichnisses vom Sämann

18 So hört nun ihr dies Gleichnis von dem Sämann: (Mr 4:13; Lu 8:11) 

19 Wenn jemand das Wort von dem Reich hört und nicht versteht, so kommt der Böse und reißt hinweg, was in sein Herz gesät ist; das ist der, der an den Weg gesät ist. 

20 Der aber auf felsigen Boden gesät ist, das ist, der das Wort hört und es alsbald aufnimmt mit Freuden; 

21 aber er hat keine Wurzel in sich, sondern er ist wetterwendisch; wenn sich Bedrängnis oder Verfolgung erhebt um des Wortes willen, so kommt er alsbald zu Fall. 

22 Der aber unter die Dornen gesät ist, das ist, der das Wort hört, und die Sorge der Welt und der trügerische Reichtum ersticken das Wort, und er bringt keine Frucht. (Mt 6:19; Mt 19:16; 1Ti 6:9) 

23 Der aber auf das gute Land gesät ist, das ist, der das Wort hört und versteht und dann auch Frucht bringt; und der eine trägt hundertfach, der andere sechzigfach, der dritte dreißigfach. 

Vom Unkraut unter dem Weizen

24 Er legte ihnen ein anderes Gleichnis vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich gleicht einem Menschen, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte. 

25 Als aber die Leute schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut zwischen den Weizen und ging davon. 

26 Als nun die Halme wuchsen und Frucht brachten, da fand sich auch das Unkraut. 

27 Da traten die Knechte des Hausherrn hinzu und sprachen zu ihm: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? Woher hat er denn das Unkraut? 

28 Er sprach zu ihnen: Das hat ein Feind getan. Da sprachen die Knechte: Willst du also, dass wir hingehen und es ausjäten? 

29 Er sprach: Nein, auf dass ihr nicht zugleich den Weizen mit ausrauft, wenn ihr das Unkraut ausjätet. 

30 Lasst beides miteinander wachsen bis zur Ernte; und um die Erntezeit will ich zu den Schnittern sagen: Sammelt zuerst das Unkraut und bindet es in Bündel, damit man es verbrenne; aber den Weizen sammelt in meine Scheune. (Mt 3:12; Mt 15:13; Re 14:15) 

Von Senfkorn und Sauerteig

31 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Himmelreich gleicht einem Senfkorn, das ein Mensch nahm und auf seinen Acker säte; (Mr 4:30; Lu 13:18) 

32 das ist das kleinste unter allen Samenkörnern; wenn es aber gewachsen ist, so ist es größer als alle Kräuter und wird ein Baum, dass die Vögel unter dem Himmel kommen und wohnen in seinen Zweigen. (Eze 17:23; Da 4:8; Da 4:17) 

33 Ein anderes Gleichnis sagte er ihnen: Das Himmelreich gleicht einem Sauerteig, den eine Frau nahm und unter drei Scheffel Mehl mengte, bis es ganz durchsäuert war. (Ge 18:6; 1Co 5:6; Ga 5:9) 

Vom Sinn der Gleichnisse

34 Das alles redete Jesus in Gleichnissen zu dem Volk, und ohne Gleichnisse redete er nichts zu ihnen, (Mr 4:33) 

35 auf dass erfüllt würde, was gesagt ist durch den Propheten, der da spricht: »Ich will meinen Mund auftun in Gleichnissen und will aussprechen, was verborgen war vom Anfang der Welt an.« 

Die Deutung des Gleichnisses vom Unkraut

36 Da ließ Jesus das Volk gehen und kam heim. Und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Deute uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut auf dem Acker. 

37 Er antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Der Menschensohn ist’s, der den guten Samen sät. 

38 Der Acker ist die Welt. Der gute Same, das sind die Kinder des Reichs. Das Unkraut sind die Kinder des Bösen. (Joh 8:44; 1Co 3:9) 

39 Der Feind, der es sät, ist der Teufel. Die Ernte ist das Ende der Welt. Die Schnitter sind die Engel. 

40 Wie man nun das Unkraut ausjätet und mit Feuer verbrennt, so wird’s auch am Ende der Welt gehen. (Mt 3:10; Mt 7:19; Joh 15:6) 

41 Der Menschensohn wird seine Engel senden, und sie werden sammeln aus seinem Reich alle Ärgernisse und die, die da Unrecht tun, 

42 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; da wird sein Heulen und Zähneklappern. (Mt 8:12; Re 20:15) 

43 Dann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in ihres Vaters Reich. Wer Ohren hat, der höre! (Da 12:3; Mt 11:15) 

Vom Schatz im Acker und der kostbaren Perle

44 Das Himmelreich gleicht einem Schatz, verborgen im Acker, den ein Mensch fand und verbarg; und in seiner Freude geht er hin und verkauft alles, was er hat, und kauft den Acker. (Mt 19:29; Lu 14:33; Php 3:7) 

45 Wiederum gleicht das Himmelreich einem Kaufmann, der gute Perlen suchte, 

46 und da er eine kostbare Perle fand, ging er hin und verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte sie. 

Vom Fischnetz

47 Wiederum gleicht das Himmelreich einem Netz, das ins Meer geworfen wurde und Fische aller Art fing. (Mt 4:19) 

48 Als es voll war, zogen sie es heraus an das Ufer, setzten sich und lasen die guten in Gefäße zusammen, aber die schlechten warfen sie weg. 

49 So wird es auch am Ende der Welt gehen: Die Engel werden ausgehen und die Bösen von den Gerechten scheiden (Mt 25:32) 

50 und werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; da wird sein Heulen und Zähneklappern. 

51 Habt ihr das alles verstanden? Sie sprachen: Ja. 

52 Da sprach er: Darum gleicht jeder Schriftgelehrte, der ein Jünger des Himmelreichs geworden ist, einem Hausvater, der aus seinem Schatz Neues und Altes hervorholt. 

Die Verwerfung Jesu in Nazareth

53 Und es begab sich, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse vollendet hatte, ging er davon (Mr 6:1; Lu 4:16) 

54 und kam in seine Vaterstadt und lehrte sie in ihrer Synagoge, sodass sie sich entsetzten und sprachen: Woher hat dieser solche Weisheit und solche Machttaten? (Joh 7:15) 

55 Ist das nicht der Sohn des Zimmermanns? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria? Und seine Brüder Jakobus und Josef und Simon und Judas? (Joh 6:42) 

56 Und seine Schwestern, sind sie nicht alle bei uns? Woher hat er denn dies alles? 

57 Und sie ärgerten sich an ihm. Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet gilt nirgends weniger als in seinem Vaterland und in seinem Hause. (Joh 4:44) 

58 Und er tat dort nicht viele Machttaten um ihres Unglaubens willen.
