1Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:2Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;3And from the plain to the sea of Chinneroth on the east, and unto the sea of the plain, even the salt sea on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth; and from the south, under Ashdothpisgah:4And the coast of Og king of Bashan, which was of the remnant of the giants, that dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,5And reigned in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and half Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.6Them did Moses the servant of the LORD and the children of Israel smite: and Moses the servant of the LORD gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh.7And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side Jordan on the west, from Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;8In the mountains, and in the valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites:9The king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;10The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;11The king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;12The king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;13The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;14The king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;15The king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;16The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;17The king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;18The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;19The king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;20The king of Shimronmeron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;21The king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;22The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam of Carmel, one;23The king of Dor in the coast of Dor, one; the king of the nations of Gilgal, one;24The king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty and one.
1Dies sind die Könige des Landes, die die Israeliten schlugen und deren Land sie einnahmen jenseits des Jordans gegen Sonnenaufgang von dem Arnonfluss an bis an den Berg Hermon und das ganze Jordantal im Osten:2Sihon, der König der Amoriter, der in Heschbon wohnte und herrschte von Aroër an, das am Ufer des Arnonflusses liegt, und von der Mitte des Tals an und über das halbe Gilead bis an den Jabbokfluss, die Grenze der Ammoniter, (Nu 21:24)3und über das Jordantal bis an die Ostseite des Sees Kinneret und bis an die Ostseite des Meeres der Araba[1] – das ist das Salzmeer – auf Bet-Jeschimot zu und im Süden bis unten an die Abhänge des Pisga.4Dazu das Gebiet des Königs Og von Baschan, der noch von den Riesen[2] übrig geblieben war und in Aschtarot und Edreï wohnte (Nu 21:33; De 3:10)5und herrschte über den Berg Hermon, über Salcha und über ganz Baschan bis an das Gebiet der Geschuriter und Maachatiter und über das halbe Gilead bis zum Gebiet Sihons, des Königs von Heschbon.6Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, und die Israeliten hatten sie geschlagen. Und Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, hatte ihr Land den Rubenitern, Gaditern und dem halben Stamm Manasse zum Besitz gegeben. (Nu 32:33)7Dies sind die Könige des Landes, die Josua und die Israeliten schlugen jenseits des Jordans im Westen, von Baal-Gad im Tal beim Gebirge Libanon bis an das kahle Gebirge, das ansteigt nach Seïr. Und Josua gab das Land den Stämmen Israels zum Besitz, einem jeden sein Teil,8was auf den Gebirgen, im Hügelland, im Jordantal, an den Abhängen, in der Wüste und im Süden war, die Hetiter, Amoriter, Kanaaniter, Perisiter, Hiwiter und Jebusiter: (Jos 11:3)9Einer war der König von Jericho, einer der König von Ai, das zur Seite von Bethel liegt, (Jos 6:2; Jos 8:29)10einer der König von Jerusalem, einer der König von Hebron, (Jos 10:1)11einer der König von Jarmut, einer der König von Lachisch,12einer der König von Eglon, einer der König von Geser,13einer der König von Debir, einer der König von Geder, (Jos 10:38; Jud 1:11)14einer der König von Horma, einer der König von Arad, (Nu 21:1; Jud 1:17)15einer der König von Libna, einer der König von Adullam, (Jos 10:29)16einer der König von Makkeda, einer der König von Bethel, (Jos 10:28)17einer der König von Tappuach, einer der König von Hefer, (Jos 15:53; 1Sa 4:1; 1Ch 5:16)18einer der König von Afek, einer der König von Scharon,19einer der König von Madon, einer der König von Hazor, (Jos 11:1; Jos 11:10)20einer der König von Schimron-Meron, einer der König von Achschaf,21einer der König von Taanach, einer der König von Megiddo, (Jos 17:11)22einer der König von Kedesch, einer der König von Jokneam am Karmel, (Jos 19:11; Jos 19:37)23einer der König von Dor, das an den Hügeln von Dor liegt, einer der König von Völkern in Galiläa,24einer der König von Tirza. Das sind zusammen einunddreißig Könige.
