1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 

2 And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign. 

3 Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits. 

4 And the porch that was in the front of the house , the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold. 

5 And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains. 

6 And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim. 

7 He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls. 

8 And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents. 

9 And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold. 

10 And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold. 

11 And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub. 

12 And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also , joining to the wing of the other cherub. 

13 The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward. 

14 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon. 

15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits. 

16 And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. 

17 And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.

Der Bau des Tempels

1 Und Salomo fing an, das Haus des HERRN zu bauen in Jerusalem auf dem Berge Morija, wo der HERR seinem Vater David erschienen war, an der Stätte, die David auf der Tenne Araunas, des Jebusiters, zubereitet hatte. (Ge 22:2; 1Ki 6:1; 1Ki 6:33; 1Ch 21:18) 

2 Im zweiten Monat am zweiten Tage im vierten Jahr seiner Königsherrschaft fing er an zu bauen. 

3 Und dies sind die Maße, nach denen Salomo das Haus Gottes baute: die Länge sechzig Ellen nach altem Maß, die Breite zwanzig Ellen. 

4 Und die Vorhalle, die sich davor befand, war nach der Breite des Hauses zwanzig Ellen lang, die Höhe aber war hundertzwanzig Ellen, und er überzog sie innen mit lauterem Gold. 

5 Das große Tempelhaus aber täfelte er mit Zypressenholz und überzog sie mit dem besten Gold und brachte darauf Palmen und Blumenwerk an. 

6 Und er schmückte das Haus mit edlen Steinen zur Zierde, das Gold aber war Parwajim-Gold. 

7 Und er überzog das Haus, die Balken und die Schwellen samt ihren Wänden und Türen mit Gold und ließ auf die Wände Cherubim schnitzen. 

Das Allerheiligste

8 Er machte auch das Haus des Allerheiligsten. Dessen Länge war zwanzig Ellen nach der Breite des Baues, und seine Breite war auch zwanzig Ellen, und er überzog es mit dem besten Gold, an sechshundert Zentner; (1Ki 6:16) 

9 und er gab auch für die Nägel fünfzig Schekel Gold an Gewicht und überzog die Obergemächer mit Gold. 

10 Er machte auch im Raum des Allerheiligsten zwei Cherubim, kunstreiche Bildwerke, und überzog sie mit Gold. 

11 Und die Länge der Flügel der Cherubim war zwanzig Ellen, sodass ein Flügel fünf Ellen hatte und die Wand des Hauses berührte und der andere Flügel auch fünf Ellen hatte und den Flügel des andern Cherubs berührte. 

12 So hatte auch der eine Flügel des andern Cherubs fünf Ellen und berührte die Wand des Hauses, und sein anderer Flügel hatte auch fünf Ellen und berührte den Flügel des andern Cherubs, 

13 sodass diese Flügel der Cherubim zwanzig Ellen weit ausgebreitet waren. Und sie standen auf ihren Füßen, und ihr Antlitz war dem Haus zugewandt. 

14 Er machte auch einen Vorhang von blauem und rotem Purpur, von Karmesin und feiner Leinwand und brachte Cherubim darauf an. (Ex 26:31) 

Die beiden Säulen vor dem Tempel

15 Und er machte vor dem Hause zwei Säulen, fünfunddreißig Ellen hoch, und den Knauf oben darauf fünf Ellen (1Ki 7:15) 

16 und machte Ketten zum Gitterwerk und tat sie oben an die Säulen und machte hundert Granatäpfel und tat sie an die Ketten 

17 und richtete die Säulen auf vor dem Tempel, eine zur Rechten und die andere zur Linken, und nannte die zur Rechten Jachin und die zur Linken Boas.
