How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!2My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.3Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.4Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.5Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them .6Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.7They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.8O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.9Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.10For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.11For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.12O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

du HERR der Heerscharen!3Meine Seele verzehrt sich in Sehnsucht
nach den Höfen des HERRN.
Mein Herz und mein Fleisch,
sie jubeln dem lebendigen Gott entgegen. (Ps 27:4)4Auch der Sperling fand ein Haus /
und die Schwalbe ein Nest, wohin sie ihre Jungen gelegt hat -
deine Altäre, HERR der Heerscharen, mein Gott und mein König. (Ps 5:3)5Selig, die wohnen in deinem Haus,
die dich allezeit loben. [Sela] (Ps 23:6)6Selig die Menschen, die Kraft finden in dir,
die Pilgerwege im Herzen haben.7Ziehen sie durch das Tal der Dürre, /
machen sie es zum Quellgrund
und Frühregen hüllt es in Segen.8Sie schreiten dahin mit wachsender Kraft
und erscheinen vor Gott auf dem Zion.[1]9HERR, Gott der Heerscharen, höre mein Bittgebet,
vernimm es, Gott Jakobs! [Sela]10Gott, sieh her auf unseren Schild,
schau auf das Angesicht deines Gesalbten! (Ps 89:19)11Ja, besser ist ein einziger Tag in deinen Höfen
als tausend andere.
Lieber an der Schwelle stehen im Haus meines Gottes
als wohnen in den Zelten der Frevler. (Ps 27:4)12Denn Gott der HERR ist Sonne und Schild.
Der HERR schenkt Gnade und Herrlichkeit.
Nicht versagt er Gutes denen, die rechtschaffen wandeln. (Ps 3:4)13HERR der Heerscharen, selig der Mensch, der auf dich sein Vertrauen setzt!
