1A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.3Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.4The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.5The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.6He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.7He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

So spricht der HERR zu meinem Herrn: /
Setze dich zu meiner Rechten
und ich lege deine Feinde als Schemel unter deine Füße. (Mt 22:44; Ac 2:34; Heb 1:13; Heb 8:1; Heb 10:12; Heb 12:2)2Das Zepter deiner Macht streckt der HERR aus vom Zion her:
Herrsche inmitten deiner Feinde!3Dich umgibt Herrschaft am Tag deiner Macht, /
im Glanz des Heiligtums.
Ich habe dich aus dem Schoß gezeugt vor dem Morgenstern.[1] (Ps 2:7)4Der HERR hat geschworen und nie wird es ihn reuen:
Du bist Priester auf ewig nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks. (Ge 14:18; Heb 5:6)5Der HERR steht dir zur Rechten;
er zerschmettert Könige am Tag seines Zorns. (Ps 2:9)6Er hält Gericht unter den Völkern, er häuft die Toten,
die Häupter zerschmettert er weithin auf Erden.7Er trinkt auf dem Weg aus dem Bach;
so kann er das Haupt erheben.
