1 The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. 

2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 

3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 

4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 

5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 

6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 

7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 

8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. 

9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? 

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 

12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. 

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 

19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 

20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 

21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 

22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 

24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. 

31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 

32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof. 

33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. 

34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: 

35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. 

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 

37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. 

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. 

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 

51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 

52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. 

53 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. 

54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? 

55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? 

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? 

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. 

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Gleichnis vom Sämann

1 An jenem Tag aber ging Jesus aus dem Haus hinaus und setzte sich an den See. 

2 Und es versammelten sich große Volksmengen um ihn, sodass er in ein Boot stieg und sich setzte; und die ganze Volksmenge stand am Ufer. (Mr 3:9; Lu 5:3) 

3 Und er redete vieles in Gleichnissen zu ihnen und sprach: Siehe, der Sämann ging hinaus zu säen; (Mt 13:34) 

4 und indem er säte, fiel einiges an den Weg, und die Vögel kamen und fraßen es auf. 

5 Anderes aber fiel auf das Steinige, wo es nicht viel Erde hatte; und sogleich ging es auf, weil es nicht tiefe Erde hatte. 

6 Als aber die Sonne aufging, wurde es verbrannt, und weil es keine Wurzel hatte, verdorrte es. 

7 Anderes aber fiel unter die Dornen; und die Dornen sprossen auf und erstickten es. 

8 Anderes aber fiel auf die gute Erde und gab Frucht: das eine hundert-, das andere sechzig-, das andere dreißig⟨fach⟩. 

9 Wer Ohren hat, der höre! (Mt 11:15) 

10 Und die Jünger traten hinzu und sprachen zu ihm: Warum redest du in Gleichnissen zu ihnen? 

11 Er aber antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Weil euch gegeben ist, die Geheimnisse des Reiches der Himmel zu wissen, jenen aber ist es nicht gegeben; (Mr 4:33) 

12 denn wer hat, dem wird gegeben und überreichlich gewährt werden; wer aber nicht hat, von dem wird selbst, was er hat, genommen werden. (Mt 25:29; Mr 4:25) 

13 Darum rede ich in Gleichnissen zu ihnen, weil sie sehend nicht sehen und hörend nicht hören noch verstehen; (De 29:3; Jer 5:21; Mr 8:18) 

14 und es wird an ihnen die Weissagung Jesajas erfüllt, die lautet: »Mit Gehör werdet ihr hören und doch nicht verstehen, und sehend werdet ihr sehen und doch nicht wahrnehmen; 

15 denn das Herz dieses Volkes ist dick geworden, und mit den Ohren haben sie schwer gehört, und ihre Augen haben sie geschlossen, damit sie nicht etwa mit den Augen sehen und mit den Ohren hören und mit dem Herzen verstehen und sich bekehren und ich sie heile.« (Isa 6:9; Joh 9:39; Joh 12:39; Ac 28:25; Ro 11:8) 

16 Glückselig aber eure Augen, dass sie sehen, und eure Ohren, dass sie hören; 

17 denn wahrlich, ich sage euch: Viele Propheten und Gerechte haben begehrt zu sehen, was ihr anschaut, und haben es nicht gesehen; und zu hören, was ihr hört, und haben es nicht gehört. (Lu 10:23; Heb 11:39; 1Pe 1:10) 

18 Hört nun ihr das Gleichnis vom Sämann: 

19 Sooft jemand das Wort vom Reich hört und nicht versteht, kommt der Böse und reißt weg, was in sein Herz gesät war; dieser ist es, bei dem an den Weg gesät ist. 

20 Bei dem aber auf das Steinige gesät ist, dieser ist es, der das Wort hört und es sogleich mit Freuden aufnimmt; (Heb 6:5) 

21 er hat aber keine Wurzel in sich, sondern ist nur ⟨ein Mensch⟩ des Augenblicks; und wenn Bedrängnis entsteht oder Verfolgung um des Wortes willen, nimmt er sogleich Anstoß. (Joh 16:1; 2Ti 3:12) 

22 Bei dem aber unter die Dornen gesät ist, dieser ist es, der das Wort hört, und die Sorge der Zeit und der Betrug des Reichtums ersticken das Wort, und er bringt keine Frucht. (Mt 6:19; Mt 6:25; Mt 19:23; Mr 10:23; 1Ti 6:9; 2Ti 2:4) 

23 Bei dem aber auf die gute Erde gesät ist, dieser ist es, der das Wort hört und versteht, der wirklich Frucht bringt; und der eine trägt hundert-, der andere sechzig-, der andere dreißig⟨fach⟩. 

Gleichnis vom Unkraut des Ackers

24 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Mit dem Reich der Himmel ist es wie mit einem Menschen, der guten Samen auf seinen Acker säte. (Mr 4:26) 

25 Während aber die Menschen schliefen, kam sein Feind und säte Unkraut mitten unter den Weizen und ging weg. 

26 Als aber die Saat aufsprosste und Frucht brachte, da erschien auch das Unkraut. 

27 Es kamen aber die Knechte des Hausherrn hinzu und sprachen zu ihm: Herr, hast du nicht guten Samen auf deinen Acker gesät? Woher hat er denn Unkraut? 

28 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein feindseliger Mensch hat dies getan. Die Knechte aber sagen zu ihm: Willst du denn, dass wir hingehen und es zusammenlesen? 

29 Er aber spricht: Nein, damit ihr nicht etwa beim Zusammenlesen des Unkrauts gleichzeitig mit ihm den Weizen ausreißt. (Isa 65:8) 

30 Lasst beides zusammen wachsen bis zur Ernte, und zur Zeit der Ernte werde ich den Schnittern sagen: Lest zuerst das Unkraut zusammen, und bindet es in Bündel, um es zu verbrennen; den Weizen aber sammelt in meine Scheune! (Mt 3:12; Mr 4:30; Lu 13:18; Re 14:15) 

Gleichnis vom Senfkorn und Sauerteig

31 Ein anderes Gleichnis legte er ihnen vor und sprach: Das Reich der Himmel gleicht einem Senfkorn, das ein Mensch nahm und auf seinen Acker säte; 

32 es ist zwar kleiner als alle ⟨Arten von⟩ Samen, wenn es aber gewachsen ist, so ist es größer als die Kräuter und wird ein Baum, sodass die Vögel des Himmels kommen und in seinen Zweigen nisten. (Eze 17:23; Eze 31:6) 

33 Ein anderes Gleichnis redete er zu ihnen: Das Reich der Himmel gleicht einem Sauerteig, den eine Frau nahm und unter drei Maß Mehl mengte, bis es ganz durchsäuert war. (1Co 5:6; Ga 5:9) 

34 Dies alles redete Jesus in Gleichnissen zu den Volksmengen, und ohne Gleichnis redete er nichts zu ihnen, (Mt 13:3) 

35 damit erfüllt wurde, was durch den Propheten geredet ist, der spricht: »Ich werde meinen Mund öffnen in Gleichnissen; ich werde aussprechen, was von Grundlegung der Welt an verborgen war.« (Ps 78:2) 

Deutung des Gleichnisses vom Unkraut des Ackers

36 Dann entließ er die Volksmengen und kam in das Haus; und seine Jünger traten zu ihm und sprachen: Deute uns das Gleichnis vom Unkraut des Ackers! (Mt 15:15) 

37 Er aber antwortete und sprach: Der den guten Samen sät, ist der Sohn des Menschen, 

38 der Acker aber ist die Welt; der gute Same aber sind die Söhne des Reiches, das Unkraut aber sind die Söhne des Bösen; (Joh 8:44; 1Jo 3:10) 

39 der Feind aber, der es gesät hat, ist der Teufel; die Ernte aber ist die Vollendung des Zeitalters, die Schnitter aber sind Engel. (Joe 4:13; Mt 24:3; Re 14:16) 

40 Wie nun das Unkraut zusammengelesen und im Feuer verbrannt wird, so wird es in der Vollendung des Zeitalters sein. 

41 Der Sohn des Menschen wird seine Engel aussenden, und sie werden aus seinem Reich alle Fallstricke zusammenlesen und die, die Gesetzloses tun, (Zep 1:3; Mt 24:31; Mr 13:27) 

42 und sie werden sie in den Feuerofen werfen; da wird das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen sein. (Mt 8:12; Mt 13:50; Mt 25:41) 

43 Dann werden die Gerechten leuchten wie die Sonne in dem Reich ihres Vaters. Wer Ohren hat, der höre! (Pr 4:18; Da 12:3; Mt 11:15) 

Gleichnisse vom Schatz im Acker, von der kostbaren Perle und vom Fischnetz

44 Das Reich der Himmel gleicht einem im Acker verborgenen Schatz, den ein Mensch fand und verbarg; und vor Freude darüber geht er hin und verkauft alles, was er hat, und kauft jenen Acker. 

45 Wiederum gleicht das Reich der Himmel einem Kaufmann, der schöne Perlen suchte; 

46 als er aber eine sehr kostbare Perle gefunden hatte, ging er hin und verkaufte alles, was er hatte, und kaufte sie. 

47 Wiederum gleicht das Reich der Himmel einem Netz, das ins Meer geworfen wurde und ⟨Fische⟩ von jeder Art zusammenbrachte, 

48 das sie dann, als es voll war, ans Ufer heraufzogen; und sie setzten sich nieder und lasen die guten in Gefäße zusammen, aber die faulen warfen sie hinaus. 

49 So wird es in der Vollendung des Zeitalters sein: Die Engel werden hinausgehen und die Bösen aus der Mitte der Gerechten aussondern (Mt 3:12; Mt 25:32) 

50 und sie in den Feuerofen werfen; da wird das Weinen und das Zähneknirschen sein. (Mt 13:42; Lu 16:24) 

51 Habt ihr dies alles verstanden? Sie sagen zu ihm: Ja. 

52 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Darum ist jeder Schriftgelehrte, der ein Jünger des Reichs der Himmel geworden ist, gleich einem Hausherrn, der aus seinem Schatz Neues und Altes hervorbringt. (Mt 24:45; Mr 6:1; 2Ti 2:15) 

Unglauben in Nazareth

53 Und es geschah, als Jesus diese Gleichnisse vollendet hatte, ging er von dort weg. (Mt 7:28) 

54 Und er kam in seine Vaterstadt und lehrte sie in ihrer Synagoge, sodass sie sehr erstaunten und sprachen: Woher hat er diese Weisheit und die Wunderwerke? (Mt 7:28; Joh 7:15) 

55 Ist er nicht der Sohn des Zimmermanns? Heißt nicht seine Mutter Maria und seine Brüder Jakobus und Josef und Simon und Judas? (Mt 12:46; Joh 6:42; Ac 12:17; Jud 1:1) 

56 Und seine Schwestern, sind sie nicht alle bei uns? Woher hat er nun dies alles? 

57 Und sie nahmen Anstoß an ihm. Jesus aber sprach zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nicht ohne Ehre, außer in seiner Vaterstadt und in seinem Haus. (Jer 11:21; Mt 11:6; Joh 4:44) 

58 Und er tat dort nicht viele Wunderwerke wegen ihres Unglaubens. (Mr 6:14; Lu 3:19; Lu 9:7)
