John 8

1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 

2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? 

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true. 

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go. 

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. 

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. 

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. 

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. 

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. 

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. 

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. 

25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 

26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. 

27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father. 

28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. 

30 As he spake these words, many believed on him. 

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 

37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. 

38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. 

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. 

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? 

49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. 

50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. 

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. 

52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. 

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? 

54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 

55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 

57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 

58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. 

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

1 А Исус отиде на Елеонския хълм. 

2 И рано сутринта пак дойде в храма; а целият народ идваше при Него и Той седна и ги поучаваше. 

3 И книжниците и фарисеите доведоха при Него една жена, хваната в прелюбодейство, и като я поставиха насред, Му казаха: 

4 Учителю, тази жена бе хваната в самото дело на прелюбодейство. 

5 Моисей ни е заповядал в закона да убиваме такива с камъни. А Ти какво ще кажеш за нея? (Le 20:10; De 22:22) 

6 И това казаха да Го изпитат, за да имат за какво да Го обвиняват. А Исус се наведе надолу и пишеше с пръст по земята. 

7 Но като продължаваха да Го питат, Той се изправи и им каза: Който от вас е безгрешен, нека пръв хвърли камък по нея. (De 17:7; Ro 2:1) 

8 И пак се наведе надолу и пишеше с пръст по земята. 

9 А те, като чуха това, разотидоха се един по един, като се почна от по-старите, та до последните; а Исус остана сам с жената, която стоеше насред. (Ro 2:22) 

10 И когато се изправи, Исус и каза: Жено, къде са онези? Никой ли не те осъди? 

11 И тя отговори: Никой, Господи. Исус каза: И Аз не те осъждам; иди си, отсега нататък не съгрешавай вече. (Lu 12:14; Joh 3:17; Joh 5:14) 

Исус Христос – Светлината на света

12 Тогава Исус отново им говори: Аз съм светлината на света; който Ме следва, няма да ходи в тъмнината, но ще има светлината на живота. (Joh 1:4; Joh 1:9; Joh 3:19; Joh 9:5; Joh 12:35; Joh 12:36; Joh 12:46) 

13 Затова фарисеите Му казаха: Ти сам свидетелстваш за Себе Си; Твоето свидетелство не е истинно. (Joh 5:31) 

14 Исус им отговори: Макар Аз сам да свидетелствам за Себе Си, свидетелството Ми е истинно, защото зная откъде идвам и накъде отивам; а вие не знаете откъде идвам и накъде отивам. (Joh 7:28; Joh 9:29) 

15 Вие съдите по плът; Аз не съдя никого. (Joh 3:17; Joh 7:24; Joh 12:47; Joh 18:36) 

16 И даже ако съдя, Моят съд е истинен, защото не съм сам, но сме Аз и Отец, Който Ме е пратил. (Joh 8:29; Joh 16:32) 

17 И в закона, да, във вашия закон е писано, че свидетелството на двама човека е истинно. (De 17:6; De 19:15; Mt 18:16; 2Co 13:1; Heb 10:28) 

18 Аз съм, Който свидетелствам за Себе Си; и Отец, Който Ме е пратил, свидетелства за Мене. (Isa 42:1; Joh 5:32; Joh 5:37) 

19 Тогава Му казаха: Къде е Твоят Отец? Исус отговори: Нито Мене познавате, нито Моя Отец; ако познавахте Мене, бихте познавали и Моя Отец. (Joh 8:55; Joh 14:7; Joh 16:3) 

20 Тези думи Той изговори в съкровищницата, като поучаваше в храма; и никой не Го хвана, защото часът Му още не беше дошъл. (Mr 12:41; Joh 7:8; Joh 7:30) 

21 И Исус пак им каза: Аз си отивам; и ще Ме търсите, но в греха си ще умрете. Където отивам Аз, вие не можете да дойдете. (Joh 7:34; Joh 8:24; Joh 13:33) 

22 Затова юдеите се питаха: Да не би да се самоубие, че казва: Където отивам Аз, вие не можете да дойдете? 

23 Исус им каза: Вие сте от тези, които са долу; Аз съм от онези, които са горе. Вие сте от този свят; а Аз не съм от този свят. (Joh 3:31; Joh 15:19; Joh 17:16; Col 3:1; 1Jo 4:5) 

24 Затова ви казах, че ще умрете в греховете си; защото ако не повярвате, че съм Този, за Когото ви казвам, в греховете си ще умрете. (Mr 16:16; Joh 8:21) 

25 Тогава те Го попитаха: Ти кой си? Исус им каза: Аз съм именно това, което ви говоря отначало. 

26 Много неща имам да говоря и да съдя за вас; но Този, Който Ме е пратил, е истинен; и каквото съм чул от Него, това говоря на света. (Joh 3:32; Joh 7:28; Joh 15:15) 

27 Те не разбраха, че им говореше за Отца. 

28 Тогава Исус каза: Когато издигнете Човешкия Син, тогава ще познаете, че съм Аз и че от Себе Си нищо не върша, но каквото Ме е научил Отец, това говоря. (Joh 3:11; Joh 3:14; Joh 5:19; Joh 5:30; Joh 7:16; Joh 12:32; Ro 1:4) 

29 И Този, Който ме е пратил, е с Мене; не Ме е оставил сам, защото Аз върша винаги онова, което Му е угодно. (Joh 4:34; Joh 5:30; Joh 6:38; Joh 8:16; Joh 14:10; Joh 14:11) 

30 Когато говореше това, мнозина повярваха в Него. (Joh 7:31; Joh 10:42; Joh 11:45) 

За истината

31 Тогава Исус каза на повярвалите в Него юдеи: Ако пребъдвате в Моето учение, наистина сте Мои ученици. 

32 И ще познаете истината и истината ще ви направи свободни. (Isa 42:7; Isa 61:1; Ro 6:14; Ro 6:18; Ro 6:22) 

33 Отговориха Му: Ние сме Авраамово потомство и никога не сме били слуги на никого; как казваш Ти: Ще станете свободни. (Le 25:42; Mt 3:9; Joh 8:39) 

34 Исус им отговори: Истина, истина ви казвам: Всеки, който върши грях, слуга е на греха. (Ro 6:16; Ro 6:20; 2Pe 2:19) 

35 А слугата не остава вечно в дома; синът остава вечно. (Ge 21:10; Ga 4:30) 

36 И така, ако Синът ви освободи, ще бъдете наистина свободни. (Ro 8:2; Ga 5:1) 

37 Зная, че сте Авраамово потомство; и все пак искате да Ме убиете, защото за Моето учение няма място у вас. (Joh 7:19; Joh 8:40) 

38 Аз говоря това, което съм видял у Моя Отец; също и вие вършите това, което сте чули от вашия баща. (Joh 3:32; Joh 5:19; Joh 5:30; Joh 14:10; Joh 14:24) 

39 Те Му отговориха: Наш баща е Авраам. Исус им каза: Ако бяхте Авраамови чеда, Авраамовите дела щяхте да вършите. (Mt 3:9; Joh 8:33; Ro 2:28; Ro 4:16; Ro 9:7; Ga 3:7; Ga 3:29) 

40 А сега искате да убиете Мене, Човека, Който ви казах истината, която чух от Бога. Това Авраам не е правил. (Joh 8:26; Joh 8:37) 

41 Вие вършите делата на баща си. Те му казаха: Ние не сме родени от блудство; имаме един Отец – Бога. (Isa 63:16; Isa 64:8; Mal 1:6) 

42 Исус им каза: Ако Бог беше вашият Отец, то вие щяхте да Ме обичате, защото Аз съм излязъл и дошъл от Бога; понеже Аз не съм дошъл от Себе Си, но Той Ме прати. (Joh 5:43; Joh 7:28; Joh 7:29; Joh 16:27; Joh 17:8; Joh 17:25; 1Jo 5:1) 

43 Защо не разбирате онова, което говоря? Защото не можете да слушате Моето учение. (Joh 7:17) 

44 Ваш баща е дяволът и вие желаете да вършите похотите на баща си. Той беше открай време човекоубиец и не устоя в истината, защото в него няма истина. Когато говори лъжа, той говори своето, защото е лъжец и баща на лъжата. (Mt 13:38; 1Jo 3:8; Jud 1:6) 

45 А понеже Аз говоря истината, вие не Ми вярвате. 

46 Кой от вас Ме обвинява в грях? Но ако говоря истината, защо не Ми вярвате? 

47 Който е от Бога, той слуша Божиите думи; вие затова не слушате, защото не сте от Бога. (Joh 10:26; Joh 10:27; 1Jo 4:6) 

Исус Христос и Авраам

48 Юдеите Му отвърнаха: Не сме ли прави, като казваме, че си самарянин и имаш бяс? (Joh 7:20; Joh 8:52; Joh 10:20) 

49 Исус отговори: Нямам бяс; но Аз почитам Своя Отец, а вие Ме позорите. 

50 Но Аз не търся слава за Себе Си; има Един, Който търси и съди. (Joh 5:41; Joh 7:18) 

51 Истина, истина ви казвам: Ако някой опази Моето учение, няма да види смърт вовеки. (Joh 5:24; Joh 11:26) 

52 Юдеите Му казаха: Сега знаем, че имаш бяс. Авраам умря, също и пророците, а Ти казваш: Ако някой опази Моето учение, няма да вкуси смърт вовеки. (Zec 1:5; Heb 11:13) 

53 Нима Ти си по-голям от баща ни Авраам, който умря? И пророците умряха. Ти на какъв се правиш? 

54 Исус отговори: Ако Аз славя Себе Си, славата Ми е нищо; Моят Отец е, Който Ме слави, за Когото вие казвате, че е ваш Бог; (Joh 5:31; Joh 5:41; Joh 16:14; Joh 17:1; Ac 3:13) 

55 и въпреки това не сте Го познали. Но Аз Го познавам; и ако кажа, че не Го познавам, ще бъда като вас лъжец; но Аз Го познавам и пазя словото Му. (Joh 7:28; Joh 7:29) 

56 Баща ви Авраам ликуваше, че ще види Моя ден; и го видя и се възрадва. (Ge 15:6; Ge 22:16; Lu 10:24; Heb 11:13) 

57 Юдеите Му казаха: Петдесет години още нямаш, а и Авраам ли си видял? 

58 Исус им каза: Истина, истина ви казвам – преди да се е родил Авраам, Аз съм. (Ex 3:14; Isa 43:13; Joh 17:5; Joh 17:24; Col 1:17) 

59 Тогава взеха да хвърлят камъни по Него; но Исус се скри и излезе от храма, като мина сред тях; и така си отиде. (Lu 4:30; Joh 10:31; Joh 10:39; Joh 11:8)
