1 És most, oh Jákób, így szól az Úr, a te Teremtõd, és a te alkotód, Izráel: Ne félj, mert megváltottalak, neveden hívtalak téged, enyém vagy!2 Mikor vizen mégy át, én veled vagyok, és ha folyókon, azok el nem borítnak, ha tûzben jársz, nem égsz meg, és a láng meg nem perzsel téged.3 Mert én vagyok az Úr, a te Istened, Izráelnek Szentje, a te megtartód, adtam váltságodba Égyiptomot, Kúst és Sebát helyetted.4 Mivel kedves vagy az én szemeimben, becses vagy és én szeretlek: embereket adok helyetted, és népeket a te életedért:5 Ne félj, mert én veled vagyok, napkeletrõl meghozom magodat, és napnyugotról egybegyûjtelek.6 Mondom északnak: add meg; és délnek: ne tartsd vissza, hozd meg az én fiaimat messzünnen, és leányimat a földnek végérõl,7 Mindent, a ki csak az én nevemrõl neveztetik, a kit dicsõségemre teremtettem, a kit alkottam és készítettem!8 Hozd ki a vak népet, a melynek szemei vannak, és a süketeket, a kiknek füleik vannak!9 Minden népek gyûljenek egybe, és seregeljenek össze a népségek: ki hirdethet közülök ilyet? Vagy a régieket tudassák velünk, állítsák elõ tanuikat, hogy igazuk legyen, hogy ezek hallván, ezt mondják: Igaz.10 Ti vagytok az én tanuim, így szól az Úr; és szolgám, a kit elválasztottam, hogy megtudjátok és higyjetek nékem és megértsétek, hogy én vagyok az, elõttem Isten nem alkottatott, és utánam nem lesz!11 Én, én vagyok az Úr, és rajtam kivül nincsen szabadító!12 Én hirdettem, és megtartottam, és megjelentettem, és nem volt idegen [isten] köztetek, és ti vagytok az én tanuim, így szól az Úr, hogy én Isten vagyok.13 Mostantól fogva is én az leszek, és nincs, a ki az én kezembõl kimentsen; cselekszem, és ki változtatja azt meg?14 Így szól az Úr, a ti megváltótok, Izráel Szentje. Ti értetek küldöttem el Bábelbe, és leszállítom mindnyájokat, mint menekülõket a Káldeusokkal együtt vídámságuk hajóiba.15 Én az Úr vagyok, szent [Istene]tek, Izráelnek teremtõje, királyotok.16 Így szól az Úr, a ki a tengeren utat csinál, és a hatalmas vizeken ösvényt,17 A ki kihozott szekeret és lovat, sereget és vitézt; együtt hevernek ottan, nem kelnek föl, kialudtak, mint gyertyabél elhamvadának!18 Ne emlékezzetek a régiekrõl, és az elõbbiekrõl ne gondolkodjatok!19 Ímé, újat cselekszem; most készül, avagy nem tudjátok még? Igen, a pusztában utat szerzek, és a kietlenben folyóvizeket.20 Dicsõítni fog engem a mezõ vada, a sakálok és struczok, hogy vizet szereztem a pusztában; a kietlenben folyóvizeket, hogy választott népemnek inni adjak.21 A nép, a melyet magamnak alkoték, hirdesse dicséretemet!22 És még sem engem hívtál segítségül Jákób, hanem megfáradtál én bennem Izráel!23 Nem adtad nékem égõáldozatul bárányaidat, és áldozataiddal nem dicsõítettél engem; nem terheltelek ételáldozattal, és tömjénnel nem fárasztottalak.24 Nem vettél pénzen nékem jóillatú nádat, és áldozataid kövérével jól nem tartottál, csak bûneiddel terhelél, vétkeiddel fárasztál engemet.25 Én, én vagyok, a ki eltörlöm álnokságaidat enmagamért, és bûneidrõl nem emlékezem meg!26 Juttasd eszembe, no pereljünk együtt, beszéld el, hogy igaznak találtassál!27 Az elsõ atyád vétkezett, és tanítóid elpártoltak tõlem!28 Ezért én is megfertõztettem a szent fejedelmeket, és veszedelemre adám Jákóbot, és gyalázatra Izráelt!

(2Móz 20,2; Zsolt 72,10; Ézs 45,14; Ézs 52,3)4Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.5Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you. (Zsolt 107,3; Ézs 41,10; Ézs 41,13; Ézs 44,2; Ézs 49,12; Ézs 60,8; Jer 30,10)6I will say to the north, Give up, and to the south, Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the end of the earth, (2Kor 6,18)7everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”8Bring out the people who are blind, yet have eyes, who are deaf, yet have ears! (Ézs 42,19)9All the nations gather together, and the peoples assemble. Who among them can declare this, and show us the former things? Let them bring their witnesses to prove them right, and let them hear and say, It is true. (Ézs 41,1; Ézs 41,21)10“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. (Ézs 45,21; Hós 13,4)12I declared and saved and proclaimed, when there was no strange god among you; and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God. (Ézs 43,10)13Also henceforth I am he; there is none who can deliver from my hand; I work, and who can turn it back?” (Zsolt 90,2; Ézs 41,4; Jn 8,58)14Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I send to Babylon and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships in which they rejoice. (Ézs 23,13; Ézs 43,4; Ézs 47,1)15I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.”16Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, (2Móz 14,21; Zsolt 77,19; Ézs 51,10)17who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick: (2Móz 14,4; Zsolt 76,5; Zsolt 118,12; Ézs 1,31)18“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. (Jer 16,14; Jer 23,7)19Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Ézs 35,8; Ézs 41,18; Ézs 42,9; Ézs 48,21; 2Kor 5,17; Jel 21,5)20The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches, for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, (Ézs 13,22; Ézs 49,10)21the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise. (Zsolt 22,3; Zsolt 79,13; Zsolt 105,1; Lk 1,74; 1Pt 2,9)22“Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel! (Mik 6,3)23You have not brought me your sheep for burnt offerings, or honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, or wearied you with frankincense. (Ézs 43,22; Ám 5,25)24You have not bought me sweet cane with money, or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities.25“I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. (Ézs 44,22; Ézs 46,8; Ez 36,25)26Put me in remembrance; let us argue together; set forth your case, that you may be proved right. (Ézs 1,18)27Your first father sinned, and your mediators transgressed against me. (Jer 5,31; Ez 16,3)28Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary, and deliver Jacob to utter destruction and Israel to reviling. (Jer 24,9; Jer 29,22; JSir 2,2)
