1Ein Lied von David. HERR, wer darf in dein Heiligtum[1] kommen? Wer darf auf deinem heiligen Berg zu Hause sein?2Jeder, der aufrichtig lebt, der das Rechte tut und durch und durch ehrlich ist.3Jeder, der andere nicht verleumdet, der seinen Mitmenschen kein Unrecht zufügt und Nachbarn und Verwandte nicht in Verruf bringt.4Jeder, der keine Freundschaft pflegt mit denen, die Gott verworfen hat, sondern alle achtet, die dem HERRN mit Ehrfurcht begegnen. Jeder, der hält, was er geschworen hat, auch wenn ihm daraus Nachteile entstehen.5Jeder, der keine Wucherzinsen nimmt, wenn er Geld ausleiht, und der sich nicht bestechen lässt, gegen Unschuldige falsch auszusagen oder sie zu verurteilen. Wer so handelt, der wird niemals zu Fall kommen!
1LORD, who can live in your sacred tent? Who can stay on your holy mountain?2Anyone who lives without blame and does what is right. They speak the truth from their heart.3They don’t tell lies about other people. They don’t do wrong to their neighbours. They don’t say anything bad about them.4They hate evil people. But they honour those who have respect for the LORD. They keep their promises even when it hurts. They do not change their mind.5They lend their money to poor people without charging interest. They don’t accept money to harm those who aren’t guilty. Anyone who lives like that will always be secure.
