Preislied auf Gott, den Helfer der Armen

1 Halleluja! Lobe den HERRN, meine Seele! / 

2 Ich will den HERRN loben in meinem Leben, meinem Gott singen und spielen, solange ich da bin. (Ps 7,18; Ps 104,33) 

3 Vertraut nicht auf Fürsten, nicht auf den Menschen, durch den es keine Rettung gibt! (Ps 118,8) 

4 Schwindet sein Lebensgeist, kehrt er zurück zur Erde, an jenem Tag sind seine Pläne zunichte. (1Mo 3,19; Hi 10,9; Ps 90,3; Ps 103,14; Ps 104,29; Pred 12,7) 

5 Selig, wer den Gott Jakobs als Hilfe hat, wer seine Hoffnung auf den HERRN, seinen Gott, setzt. (Jer 17,7) 

6 Er ist es, der Himmel und Erde erschafft, / das Meer und alles, was in ihm ist. Er hält die Treue auf ewig. (Apg 4,24; Apg 14,15) 

7 Recht schafft er den Unterdrückten, / Brot gibt er den Hungernden, der HERR befreit die Gefangenen. (Ps 68,7; Ps 103,6; Jes 61,1) 

8 Der HERR öffnet die Augen der Blinden, / der HERR richtet auf die Gebeugten, der HERR liebt die Gerechten. (Ps 145,14) 

9 Der HERR beschützt die Fremden, / er hilft auf den Waisen und Witwen, doch den Weg der Frevler krümmt er. (Ps 10,18) 

10 Der HERR ist König auf ewig, dein Gott, Zion, durch alle Geschlechter. Halleluja! (Ps 24,7)

1 Praise the LORD. I will praise the LORD. 

2 I will praise the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. 

3 Don’t put your trust in human leaders. Don’t trust in people who can’t save you. 

4 When they die, they return to the ground. On that day their plans come to nothing. 

5 Blessed are those who depend on the God of Jacob for help. Blessed are those who put their hope in the LORD their God. 

6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth and the ocean. He made everything in them. He remains faithful for ever. 

7 He stands up for those who are treated badly. He gives food to hungry people. The LORD sets prisoners free. 

8 The LORD gives sight to those who are blind. The LORD lifts up those who feel helpless. The LORD loves those who do what is right. 

9 The LORD watches over the outsiders who live in our land. He takes good care of children whose fathers have died. He also takes good care of widows. But he causes evil people to fail in everything they do. 

10 The LORD rules for ever. The God of Zion will rule for all time to come. Praise the LORD.
