Das Gleichnis vom königlichen Hochzeitsmahl

1 Jesus antwortete und erzählte ihnen ein anderes Gleichnis: (Lk 14,15) 2 Mit dem Himmelreich ist es wie mit einem König, der seinem Sohn die Hochzeit ausrichtete. 3 Er schickte seine Diener, um die eingeladenen Gäste zur Hochzeit rufen zu lassen. Sie aber wollten nicht kommen. 4 Da schickte er noch einmal Diener und trug ihnen auf: Sagt den Eingeladenen: Siehe, mein Mahl ist fertig, meine Ochsen und das Mastvieh sind geschlachtet, alles ist bereit. Kommt zur Hochzeit! 5 Sie aber kümmerten sich nicht darum, sondern der eine ging auf seinen Acker, der andere in seinen Laden, 6 wieder andere fielen über seine Diener her, misshandelten sie und brachten sie um. (Mt 21,35) 7 Da wurde der König zornig; er schickte sein Heer, ließ die Mörder töten und ihre Stadt in Schutt und Asche legen. 8 Dann sagte er zu seinen Dienern: Das Hochzeitsmahl ist vorbereitet, aber die Gäste waren nicht würdig. 9 Geht also an die Kreuzungen der Straßen und ladet alle, die ihr trefft, zur Hochzeit ein! 10 Die Diener gingen auf die Straßen hinaus und holten alle zusammen, die sie trafen, Böse und Gute, und der Festsaal füllte sich mit Gästen. 11 Als der König eintrat, um sich die Gäste anzusehen, bemerkte er unter ihnen einen Menschen, der kein Hochzeitsgewand anhatte. 12 Er sagte zu ihm: Freund, wie bist du hier ohne Hochzeitsgewand hereingekommen? Der aber blieb stumm. 13 Da befahl der König seinen Dienern: Bindet ihm Hände und Füße und werft ihn hinaus in die äußerste Finsternis! Dort wird Heulen und Zähneknirschen sein. Die Frage nach der kaiserlichen Steuer

15 Damals kamen die Pharisäer zusammen und beschlossen, Jesus mit einer Frage eine Falle zu stellen. (Mk 12,13; Lk 20,20) 16 Sie veranlassten ihre Jünger, zusammen mit den Anhängern des Herodes zu ihm zu gehen und zu sagen: Meister, wir wissen, dass du die Wahrheit sagst und wahrhaftig den Weg Gottes lehrst und auf niemanden Rücksicht nimmst, denn du siehst nicht auf die Person. 17 Sag uns also: Was meinst du? Ist es erlaubt, dem Kaiser Steuer zu zahlen, oder nicht? 18 Jesus aber erkannte ihre böse Absicht und sagte: Ihr Heuchler, warum versucht ihr mich? 19 Zeigt mir die Münze, mit der ihr eure Steuern bezahlt! Da hielten sie ihm einen Denar hin. 20 Er fragte sie: Wessen Bild und Aufschrift ist das? 21 Sie antworteten ihm: Des Kaisers. Darauf sagte er zu ihnen: So gebt dem Kaiser, was dem Kaiser gehört, und Gott, was Gott gehört! 22 Als sie das hörten, staunten sie, ließen ihn stehen und gingen weg.

Die Frage nach der Auferstehung der Toten

23 Am selben Tag kamen zu Jesus einige von den Sadduzäern, die behaupten, es gebe keine Auferstehung. Sie fragten ihn: (Mk 12,18; Lk 20,27; Apg 23,8) 24 Meister, Mose hat gesagt: Wenn ein Mann stirbt, ohne Kinder zu haben, dann soll sein Bruder dessen Frau heiraten und seinem Bruder Nachkommen verschaffen. (1Mo 38,8; 5Mo 25,5) 25 Bei uns lebten einmal sieben Brüder. Der erste heiratete und starb, und weil er keine Nachkommen hatte, hinterließ er seine Frau seinem Bruder, 26 ebenso der zweite und der dritte und so weiter bis zum siebten. 27 Als letzte von allen starb die Frau. 28 Wessen Frau wird sie nun bei der Auferstehung sein? Alle sieben haben sie doch zur Frau gehabt. 29 Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr irrt euch; ihr kennt weder die Schrift noch die Macht Gottes. 30 Denn nach der Auferstehung heiratet man nicht, noch wird man geheiratet, sondern die Menschen sind wie Engel im Himmel. 31 Habt ihr im Übrigen nicht gelesen, was Gott euch über die Auferstehung der Toten mit den Worten gesagt hat: 32 Ich bin der Gott Abrahams, der Gott Isaaks und der Gott Jakobs? Er ist nicht der Gott von Toten, sondern von Lebenden. (2Mo 3,6) 33 Als das Volk das hörte, geriet es außer sich vor Staunen über seine Lehre. (Mt 7,28)

Die Frage nach dem wichtigsten Gebot

34 Als die Pharisäer hörten, dass Jesus die Sadduzäer zum Schweigen gebracht hatte, kamen sie am selben Ort zusammen. (Mk 12,28; Lk 10,25) 35 Einer von ihnen, ein Gesetzeslehrer, wollte ihn versuchen und fragte ihn: (Mt 16,1; Mt 19,3; Mt 22,18) 36 Meister, welches Gebot im Gesetz ist das wichtigste? 37 Er antwortete ihm: Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben mit ganzem Herzen, mit ganzer Seele und mit deinem ganzen Denken. (5Mo 6,5) 38 Das ist das wichtigste und erste Gebot. 39 Ebenso wichtig ist das zweite: Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst. (3Mo 19,18; Mt 5,43; Röm 13,9; Gal 5,14)

Die Frage nach dem Davidssohn

41 Danach fragte Jesus die Pharisäer, die versammelt waren: (Mk 12,35; Lk 20,41) 42 Was denkt ihr über den Christus? Wessen Sohn ist er? Sie antworteten ihm: Der Sohn Davids. 43 Er sagte zu ihnen: Wie kann ihn dann David im Geist Herr nennen? Denn er sagt: 44 Der Herr sprach zu meinem Herrn: Setze dich mir zur Rechten, bis ich dir deine Feinde unter die Füße lege. (Ps 110,1) 45 Wenn ihn also David Herr nennt, wie kann er dann sein Sohn sein? 46 Niemand konnte ihm darauf etwas erwidern und von diesem Tag an wagte keiner mehr, ihm eine Frage zu stellen. (Mk 12,34; Lk 20,40)

And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen. 15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk. 16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men. 17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? 18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites? 19 Shew me the tribute money. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. 22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way. 23 The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: 26 Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 27 And last of all the woman died also. 28 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31 But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33 And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. 34 But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. 41 While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. 43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, 44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? 45 If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? 46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Przypowieść o uczcie weselnej

1 Jezus przedstawił jeszcze jedną przypowieść: 2 —Królestwo niebieskie jest podobne do władcy, który wyprawił synowi wesele. 3 Posłał służących, aby powiadomili zaproszonych, ale ci nie chcieli przyjść. 4 Poprzez innych służących wysłał im więc następującą wiadomość: „Uczta gotowa, mięso na rożnach—wszystko przygotowane! Zapraszam na wesele!”. 5 Ale goście zlekceważyli zaproszenie: jeden poszedł na pole, inny—do swojego sklepu. 6 A niektórzy nawet naubliżali posłańcom i zabili ich. 7 Władca wpadł w gniew: wysłał wojsko, zgładził zabójców i spalił ich miasto. 8 Potem rzekł sługom: „Uczta weselna została przygotowana, ale zaproszeni okazali się jej niegodni. 9 Wyjdźcie więc na ulice i zaproście na wesele wszystkich, których spotkacie”. 10 Poszli więc i przyprowadzili z ulic wszystkich napotkanych ludzi—zarówno złych, jak i dobrych. W ten sposób sala biesiadna zapełniła się gośćmi. 11 Gdy władca wszedł, aby ich zobaczyć, zauważył człowieka, który nie miał na sobie weselnego ubrania. 12 „Przyjacielu!”—zwrócił się do niego. —„Jak się tu znalazłeś, nie mając weselnego ubrania?”. On jednak nic nie odpowiedział. 13 Wówczas władca rozkazał sługom: „Zwiążcie mu ręce i nogi i wyrzućcie go na zewnątrz, w ciemności, gdzie panuje lament i rozpacz!”. 14 Wielu jest bowiem zaproszonych, ale mało wybranych.

Płacenie podatków cezarowi

15 Tymczasem faryzeusze naradzali się, jak sprowokować Jezusa do jakiejś niefortunnej wypowiedzi. Potrzebny był im bowiem pretekst do oskarżenia Go. 16 Wysłali więc swoich ludzi oraz zwolenników Heroda z takim pytaniem: —Nauczycielu! Wiemy, że nie boisz się mówić prawdy. Nie dostosowujesz się też do opinii ludzi ani do ich oczekiwań, lecz uczciwie nauczasz prawd Bożych. 17 Powiedz nam więc, czy słusznie płacimy podatki Rzymowi, czy nie? 18 —Obłudnicy! Chcecie Mnie pogrążyć?!—powiedział Jezus, zdając sobie sprawę z ich podstępu. 19 —Pokażcie Mi najpierw monetę! Gdy Mu ją podano, zapytał: 20 —Czyją podobiznę i tytuł na niej widzicie? 21 —Cezara—odpowiedzieli. —Oddawajcie więc cezarowi to, co jego, a Bogu—co należy do Boga! 22 Ta odpowiedź tak ich zaskoczyła, że zaraz stamtąd odeszli.

Po zmartwychwstaniu

23 Jeszcze tego samego dnia przyszli do Jezusa saduceusze—przedstawiciele ugrupowania nauczającego, że nie będzie zmartwychwstania. 24 —Nauczycielu!—zwrócili się do Niego. —Prawo Mojżesza naucza: „Jeśli umrze mężczyzna i nie pozostawi po sobie potomstwa, jego brat powinien ożenić się z wdową po zmarłym i mieć z nią potomstwo”. 25 Otóż żyło kiedyś u nas siedmiu braci. Najstarszy z nich ożenił się, ale wkrótce zmarł, nie pozostawiając dzieci. Wdowa została żoną młodszego brata. 26 I tak było z drugim, trzecim i resztą braci. 27 W końcu zmarła także ta kobieta. 28 Jeśli rzeczywiście umarli zmartwychwstaną, to czyją będzie wtedy żoną, skoro wszyscy bracia się z nią ożenili? 29 —Cała trudność polega na tym—odparł Jezus—że nie znacie Pisma ani mocy Bożej! 30 Po zmartwychwstaniu więzy małżeńskie nie będą obowiązywać ani tych siedmiu braci, ani kobiety, bo wszyscy pod tym względem będą podobni do aniołów. 31 Jeśli zaś chodzi o samo zmartwychwstanie, to czy nigdy nie czytaliście, że Bóg powiedział: 32 „Jestem Bogiem Abrahama, Bogiem Izaaka i Bogiem Jakuba”? Przecież nie nazwałby siebie Bogiem tych, którzy już nie istnieją!! 33 Zgromadzeni, słysząc Jego odpowiedź, nie mogli wyjść z podziwu.

Największe przykazanie

34 Faryzeusze dowiedzieli się, że Jezus zamknął usta saduceuszom. Przyszli więc tam 35 i jeden z nich—przywódca religijny—zadał Mu podchwytliwe pytanie: 36 —Nauczycielu, które z przykazań Prawa Mojżesza jest najważniejsze? 37 —„Kochaj twojego Pana i Boga całym sercem, duszą i umysłem!”—odpowiedział Jezus. 38 —To jest pierwsze i najważniejsze przykazanie. 39 Drugie jest podobne: „Kochaj innych tak, jak kochasz samego siebie!”. 40 Na tych dwóch przykazaniach opiera się całe Prawo Mojżesza i księgi proroków.

Mesjasz—Synem Boga

41 Następnie sam zapytał otaczających Go faryzeuszy: 42 —Jak sądzicie? Skąd ma pochodzić Mesjasz? —Z rodu króla Dawida—odrzekli. 43 —To dlaczego sam Dawid, a przez jego usta Duch Święty, nazywa Go Panem?—zapytał Jezus. —Dawid powiedział przecież: 44 „Bóg rzekł do mojego Pana: Zasiądź po mojej prawej stronie, dopóki nie rzucę Ci pod nogi Twoich nieprzyjaciół”. 45 Skoro więc Dawid nazwał Go Panem, to jak Mesjasz może być jego potomkiem? 46 Nikt nie potrafił Mu na to odpowiedzieć. Dlatego też nikt już więcej nie śmiał Go o nic pytać.
