1 Für den Chormeister. Zum Saitenspiel. Von David. 2 Höre doch, Gott, meinen Schrei, achte doch auf mein Bittgebet! 3 Vom Ende der Erde rufe ich zu dir; / denn mein Herz ist verzagt. Führe mich auf den Felsen, der mir zu hoch ist! (Ps 27,4) 4 Denn du bist meine Zuflucht, ein fester Turm gegen die Feinde. (Ps 71,3; Spr 18,10) 5 In deinem Zelt möchte ich Gast sein auf ewig, mich bergen im Schutz deiner Flügel. [Sela] (Ps 17,7) 6 Denn du, Gott, hast meine Gelübde gehört/ und denen das Erbe gegeben, die deinen Namen fürchten. 7 Füge den Tagen des Königs noch viele hinzu! Seine Jahre mögen dauern von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht. (Ps 21,5; Ps 72,5) 8 Er throne ewig vor Gottes Angesicht. Huld und Treue mögen ihn behüten.[1] (Ps 89,5) 9 Dann will ich allzeit deinem Namen singen und spielen und Tag für Tag meine Gelübde erfüllen. (Ps 7,18; Ps 66,13)

1 Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; (Ps 55,1; Ps 55,2) 2 from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, (Ps 18,2; Ps 77,3) 3 for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy. (Ps 14,6; Spr 18,10) 4 Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah (Ps 15,1; Ps 17,8; Ps 27,4) 5 For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. 6 Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations! (Ps 21,4; Ps 63,11) 7 May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him! (Ps 40,11) 8 So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day. (Ps 50,14)
