1Dann führte er mich zu einem der Tore, dem Tor, das im Osten lag.2Und siehe, die Herrlichkeit des Gottes Israels kam aus dem Osten heran. Ihr Rauschen war wie das Rauschen gewaltiger Wassermassen und die Erde leuchtete auf von seiner Herrlichkeit. (Hes 1,24; Offb 1,15; Offb 18,1)3Wie ein Aufscheinen der Erscheinung war es, die ich gesehen hatte, wie die Erscheinung, die ich gesehen hatte - als ich kam, um die Stadt zu vernichten. - Und die Erscheinungen waren wie die Erscheinung, die ich am Fluss Kebar gesehen hatte. Da fiel ich nieder auf mein Gesicht.[1] (Hes 1,1; Hes 43,8)4Und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN zog in den Tempel ein durch das Tor, das im Osten lag. (2Mo 40,34; 1Kön 8,10)5Und der Geist hob mich empor und brachte mich in den inneren Vorhof. Und siehe, die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erfüllte den Tempel.6Dann hörte ich einen, der vom Tempel her zu mir redete. Der Mann aber stand neben mir.7Er sagte zu mir: Menschensohn, das ist der Ort, wo mein Thron steht, und der Ort, wo meine Füße ruhen; hier will ich für immer mitten unter den Israeliten wohnen. Das Haus Israel aber soll meinen heiligen Namen nie mehr beflecken - weder sie noch ihre Könige - mit ihrer Unzucht und mit den Leichen ihrer Könige bei ihren Kulthöhen. (Ps 132,7; Kla 2,1; Hes 37,26)8Sie legten ihre Schwelle neben meine Schwelle und setzten ihre Türpfosten neben meine Türpfosten, sodass zwischen mir und ihnen nur eine Wand war. So befleckten sie meinen heiligen Namen durch die Gräueltaten, die sie begingen, und ich musste sie in meinem Zorn vernichten.9Jetzt aber sollen sie ihre Unzucht und die Leichen ihrer Könige von mir fernhalten, sodass ich für immer mitten unter ihnen wohnen kann.10Du, Menschensohn, berichte dem Haus Israel über den Tempel, damit sie sich wegen ihrer bösen Taten schämen! Sie sollen den Entwurf des Tempels vermessen.11Wenn sie sich all dessen schämen, was sie getan haben, dann mach ihnen den Plan des Tempels bekannt, seine Einrichtung, seine Ausgänge und Eingänge und seine ganzen Pläne und alle ihn betreffenden Sitzungen, seine ganzen Pläne und alle ihn betreffenden Anweisungen! Zeichne alles vor ihren Augen auf! Sie sollen darauf achten, dass sie seinen ganzen Plan ausführen und alle ihn betreffenden Satzungen, und sie befolgen.12Das ist die Anweisung für den Tempelbezirk. Der Altar im Innenhof und die Altarweihe
13Das waren die Maße des Altars, gemessen in Ellen, die Elle zu einer gewöhnlichen Elle und einer Handbreit gerechnet: Dem Graben von einer Elle entsprach eine Elle Breite. Und ihre Einfassung an ihrem Rand betrug ringsum eine Spanne. Und dies ist der Sockel des Altars: (2Mo 27,1; 1Kön 8,64)14Vom Boden des Grabens bis zur unteren Einfassung waren es zwei Ellen; und die Breite machte eine Elle aus; von dieser kleinen Einfassung bis zur großen Einfassung waren es vier Ellen, bei einer Breite von einer Elle.15Der Opferherd war vier Ellen hoch und an dem Opferherd ragten vier Hörner empor.16Der Opferherd hatte eine Länge von zwölf Ellen und eine Breite von zwölf Ellen; er war quadratisch.17Auch die Einfassung war vierzehn Ellen lang und vierzehn Ellen breit nach ihren vier Seiten hin. Rings um sie herum lief eine Umgrenzung von einer halben Elle. Der Graben, der sie umgab, maß ringsum eine Elle. Und seine Stufen waren nach Osten gerichtet.18Dann sagte er zu mir: Menschensohn, so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Das sind die Satzungen für den Altar, für den Tag, an dem er fertiggestellt wird, damit man Brandopfer auf ihm darbringen und Blut auf ihn sprengen kann: (2Mo 29,36)19Du sollst den levitischen Priestern, den Nachkommen Zadoks, die vor mich hintreten dürfen, um mir zu dienen - Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn -, einen jungen Stier aus der Rinderherde zum Sündopfer geben. (Hes 40,46; Hes 44,15)20Dann sollst du etwas von seinem Blut nehmen und es auf seine vier Hörner und auf die vier Ecken der Einfassung sowie ringsum auf die Umgrenzung tun. So sollst du ihn entsündigen und entsühnen.21Dann sollst du den Stier des Sündopfers nehmen und man soll ihn auf dem vorgesehenen Platz beim Tempel außerhalb des Heiligtums verbrennen.22Am zweiten Tag sollst du einen Ziegenbock, der ohne Fehler ist, als Sündopfer darbringen und man soll den Altar damit entsündigen, wie man ihn mit dem Stier entsündigt hat.23Wenn du die Entsündigung vollzogen hast, sollst du einen jungen Stier aus der Rinderherde, der ohne Fehler ist, sowie einen Widder aus der Schafherde, der ohne Fehler ist, darbringen.24Du sollst beide vor den HERRN bringen und die Priester sollen sie mit Salz bestreuen und dem HERRN als Brandopfer darbringen.25Sieben Tage lang sollst du täglich einen Bock als Sündopfer darbringen und man soll einen jungen Stier aus der Rinderherde und einen Widder aus der Schafherde - Tiere ohne Fehler - darbringen.26Sieben Tage lang soll man den Altar entsühnen, rein machen und einweihen.27Man soll diese Tage zu Ende führen. Vom achten Tag an sollen dann die Priester auf dem Altar eure Brandopfer und eure Heilsopfer darbringen. Dann will ich euch gnädig sein - Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.

And the sound of his coming was like the sound of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory. (Hes 1,24; Hes 10,4; Hes 10,18; Hes 11,23; Offb 1,15; Offb 18,1; Offb 21,11)3And the vision I saw was just like the vision that I had seen when he[1] came to destroy the city, and just like the vision that I had seen by the Chebar canal. And I fell on my face. (Hes 1,1; Hes 1,4; Hes 1,28; Hes 9,1; Hes 9,5)4As the glory of the Lord entered the temple by the gate facing east, (Hes 43,2; Hes 44,2)5the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple. (1Kön 8,10; Jes 6,1; Hes 3,12; Hes 8,16; Hes 10,4; Hes 44,4)6While the man was standing beside me, I heard one speaking to me out of the temple, (2Mo 25,22; Hes 40,3)7and he said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever. And the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoring and by the dead bodies[2] of their kings at their high places,[3] (1Chr 28,2; Ps 99,1; Jes 60,13; Hes 2,1; Hes 20,39; Hes 37,26; Hes 37,28; Hes 43,8)8by setting their threshold by my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them. They have defiled my holy name by their abominations that they have committed, so I have consumed them in my anger. (Hes 42,20; Hes 43,7)9Now let them put away their whoring and the dead bodies of their kings far from me, and I will dwell in their midst forever. (Hes 43,7)10“As for you, son of man, describe to the house of Israel the temple, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and they shall measure the plan. (Hes 40,4; Hes 43,7)11And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple, its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, that is, its whole design; and make known to them as well all its statutes and its whole design and all its laws, and write it down in their sight, so that they may observe all its laws and all its statutes and carry them out. (Hes 12,3; Hes 43,10; Hes 44,5)12This is the law of the temple: the whole territory on the top of the mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the temple. The Altar
13“These are the measurements of the altar by cubits (the cubit being a cubit and a handbreadth):[4] its base shall be one cubit high[5] and one cubit broad, with a rim of one span[6] around its edge. And this shall be the height of the altar: (2Mo 27,1; Hes 40,5; Hes 40,47; Hes 41,8; Hes 47,1)14from the base on the ground to the lower ledge, two cubits, with a breadth of one cubit; and from the smaller ledge to the larger ledge, four cubits, with a breadth of one cubit;15and the altar hearth, four cubits; and from the altar hearth projecting upward, four horns. (2Mo 27,2)16The altar hearth shall be square, twelve cubits long by twelve broad. (2Mo 27,1; Hes 40,47)17The ledge also shall be square, fourteen cubits long by fourteen broad, with a rim around it half a cubit broad, and its base one cubit all around. The steps of the altar shall face east.” (2Mo 20,26)18And he said to me, “Son of man, thus says the Lord God: These are the ordinances for the altar: On the day when it is erected for offering burnt offerings upon it and for throwing blood against it, (3Mo 1,5; Hes 2,1)19you shall give to the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok, who draw near to me to minister to me, declares the Lord God, a bull from the herd for a sin offering. (2Mo 29,1; 2Mo 29,10; 5Mo 17,9; 5Mo 18,1; 5Mo 24,8; 5Mo 27,9; Hes 40,46; Hes 44,15; Hes 45,18)20And you shall take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar and on the four corners of the ledge and upon the rim all around. Thus you shall purify the altar and make atonement for it. (2Mo 29,12; 2Mo 29,36; 3Mo 8,15; Hes 43,13; Hes 43,15; Hes 43,17; Hes 45,18; Hes 45,19)21You shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and it shall be burned in the appointed place belonging to the temple, outside the sacred area. (2Mo 29,14)22And on the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering; and the altar shall be purified, as it was purified with the bull.23When you have finished purifying it, you shall offer a bull from the herd without blemish and a ram from the flock without blemish. (2Mo 29,1; Hes 43,20)24You shall present them before the Lord, and the priests shall sprinkle salt on them and offer them up as a burnt offering to the Lord. (3Mo 2,13)25For seven days you shall provide daily a male goat for a sin offering; also, a bull from the herd and a ram from the flock, without blemish, shall be provided.
