Die Erwählung Davids und des Zion

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Gedenke, HERR, zugunsten Davids all seiner Mühen, / 2 wie er dem HERRN geschworen, gelobt hat dem Starken Jakobs: 3 Nicht will ich das Zelt meines Hauses betreten noch zum Ruhen mein Lager besteigen, (2Sam 7,1; 1Chr 28,2) 4 nicht Schlaf den Augen gönnen noch Schlummer den Lidern, 5 bis ich für den HERRN eine Stätte finde, Wohnung für den Starken Jakobs. 6 Siehe, wir hörten von seiner Lade in Efrata, fanden sie im Gefilde von Jáar.^[1] (1Sam 7,1; 2Sam 6,2) 7 Lasst uns hingehen zu seiner Wohnung, uns niederwerfen am Schemel seiner Füße! (Ps 99,5) 8 Steh auf, HERR, zum Ort deiner Ruhe, du und deine machtvolle Lade! (4Mo 10,35; 2Chr 6,41) 9 Deine Priester sollen sich in Gerechtigkeit kleiden und deine Frommen sollen jubeln. (Hi 29,14) 10 Um Davids willen, deines Knechts, weise nicht ab das Angesicht deines Gesalbten! 11 Der HERR hat David Treue geschworen, nicht wird er von ihr lassen: Einen Spross deines Leibes will ich setzen auf deinen Thron. (Ps 89,4) 12 Wenn deine Söhne meinen Bund bewahren, mein Zeugnis, das ich sie lehre, dann sollen auch ihre Söhne auf deinem Thron sitzen für immer. 13 Denn der HERR hat den Zion erwählt, ihn begehrt zu seinem Wohnsitz: (Ps 68,17; Ps 76,3; Ps 78,68) 14 Das ist für immer der Ort meiner Ruhe, hier will ich wohnen, ich hab ihn begehrt. (1Kön 8,13) 15 Zions Nahrung will ich reichlich segnen, mit Brot seine Armen sättigen.^[2] 16 Seine Priester will ich kleiden in Heil, seine Frommen sollen jauchzen und jubeln. (Ps 132,9; Jes 61,10) 17 Dort bringe ich Davids Macht zum Sprießen und stelle eine Leuchte auf für meinen Gesalbten. (1Kön 11,36; Lk 1,69) 18 Ich kleide seine Feinde in Schande; doch auf ihm wird seine Krone erglänzen.

3 “I will not enter my house or get into my bed, 4 I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, (Spr 6,4) 5 until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.” (1Chr 22,7; Ps 132,2; Apg 7,46) 6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar. Ricordo delle promesse di Dio a Davide

1 Canto dei pellegrinaggi. Ricòrdati, Signore, di Davide, di tutte le sue fatiche, 2 quando egli giurò al Signore e fece voto al Potente di Giacobbe, dicendo: 3 «Certo, non entrerò nella mia casa, né salirò sul mio letto; 4 non darò sonno ai miei occhi, né riposo alle mie palpebre, 5 finché abbia trovato un luogo per il Signore, una dimora per il Potente di Giacobbe». 6 Ecco, abbiamo saputo che l’arca era in Efrata: l’abbiamo trovata nei campi di Iaar. 7 Andiamo nella dimora del Signore, adoriamo davanti allo sgabello dei suoi piedi! 8 Àlzati, Signore, vieni al luogo del tuo riposo, tu e l’arca della tua potenza. 9 I tuoi sacerdoti siano rivestiti di giustizia, e gioiscano i tuoi fedeli. 10 Per amore di Davide, tuo servo, non respingere il volto del tuo unto. 11 Il Signore ha fatto a Davide questo giuramento di verità e non lo revocherà: «Io metterò sul tuo trono un tuo discendente. 12 Se i tuoi figli osserveranno il mio patto e la testimonianza che insegnerò loro, anche i loro figli staranno seduti per sempre sul tuo trono». 13 Poiché il Signore ha scelto Sion, l’ha desiderata per sua dimora. 14 «Questo è il mio luogo di riposo in eterno; qui abiterò, perché l’ho desiderata. 15 Io benedirò largamente le sue provviste, sazierò di pane i suoi poveri. 16 I suoi sacerdoti li rivestirò di salvezza e i suoi fedeli esulteranno di gran gioia. 17 Qua farò crescere la potenza di Davide e vi terrò accesa una lampada per il mio unto. 18 I suoi nemici li coprirò di vergogna, ma su di lui fiorirà la sua corona».
