Psalm 26

English Standard Version

1 Of David. Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity, and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. (Ps 7:8; Ps 11:1; Ps 26:11)2 Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.[1] (Ps 7:9; Ps 17:3; Ps 139:23)3 For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in your faithfulness. (2Ki 20:3; Ps 25:10; Ps 86:11)4 I do not sit with men of falsehood, nor do I consort with hypocrites. (Job 11:11; Ps 1:1)5 I hate the assembly of evildoers, and I will not sit with the wicked. (Ps 31:6; Ps 139:21)6 I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, O Lord, (Ex 30:19; De 21:6; Ps 73:13)7 proclaiming thanksgiving aloud, and telling all your wondrous deeds. (Ps 9:1)8 O Lord, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells. (Ps 27:4)9 Do not sweep my soul away with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men, (Ps 28:3)10 in whose hands are evil devices, and whose right hands are full of bribes. (Ex 23:8; De 16:19)11 But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity; redeem me, and be gracious to me.12 My foot stands on level ground; in the great assembly I will bless the Lord. (Ps 22:25; Ps 27:11)
