Psalm 111

English Standard Version

[1] Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. (Ps 104:35; Ps 138:1; Ps 149:1) Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them. (Ps 92:5; Ps 112:1; Ps 119:45; Ps 119:94; Ps 119:155; Ps 139:14; Ps 143:5; Re 3:2) Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. (Ps 112:3; Ps 112:9; Ps 145:5) He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. (Ps 78:4) He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. (Ps 105:8) He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; (Ps 19:7; Ps 93:5) they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. (Ps 19:9; Isa 40:8; Mt 5:18; Re 15:3) He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! (Ps 8:1; Ps 99:3; Ps 133:3; Mt 1:21; Lu 1:49; Lu 1:68) 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! (Ps 44:8; Pr 1:7; Pr 3:4; Pr 9:10; Pr 13:15; Joh 7:17)
