The Lord Is My Strength and My Shield

1 Of David. To you, O Lord, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. (Ps 18:2; Ps 35:22; Ps 39:12; Ps 83:1; Ps 88:4; Ps 109:1; Ps 143:7) 

2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary. (1Ki 8:29; Ps 5:7; Ps 119:48; Ps 134:2; Ps 138:2; Ps 140:6; Ps 141:2; La 2:19; 1Ti 2:8) 

3 Do not drag me off with the wicked, with the workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts. (Ps 5:9; Ps 12:2; Ps 26:9; Ps 55:21; Ps 62:4; Jer 9:8; Eze 32:20) 

4 Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward. (Ps 137:8; Jer 50:15; Jer 50:29; 2Ti 4:14; Re 18:6) 

5 Because they do not regard the works of the Lord or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and build them up no more. (Job 34:27; Isa 5:12) 

6 Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. (Ps 28:2) 

7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Ps 3:3; Ps 11:1; Ps 69:30) 

8 The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. (Ps 20:6; Ps 140:7) 

9 Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever. (De 9:29; De 32:9; Ps 78:71; Isa 40:11; Isa 46:3; Isa 63:9)

1 Ya RAB, sana yakarıyorum, Kayam benim, kulak tıkama sesime; Çünkü sen sessiz kalırsan, Ölüm çukuruna inen ölülere dönerim ben. 

2 Seni yardıma çağırdığımda, Ellerimi kutsal konutuna doğru açtığımda, Kulak ver yalvarışlarıma. 

3 Beni kötülerle, haksızlık yapanlarla Aynı kefeye koyup cezalandırma. Onlar komşularıyla dostça konuşur, Ama yüreklerinde kötülük beslerler. 

4 Eylemlerine, yaptıkları kötülüklere göre onları yanıtla; Yaptıklarının, hak ettiklerinin karşılığını ver. 

5 Onlar RAB'bin yaptıklarına, Ellerinin eserine önem vermezler; Bu yüzden RAB onları yıkacak, Bir daha ayağa kaldırmayacak. 

6 RAB'be övgüler olsun! Çünkü yalvarışımı duydu. 

7 RAB benim gücüm, kalkanımdır, O'na yürekten güveniyor ve yardım görüyorum. Yüreğim coşuyor, Ezgilerimle O'na şükrediyorum. 

8 RAB halkının gücüdür, Meshettiği kralın zafer kalesidir. 

9 Halkını kurtar, kendi halkını kutsa; Çobanlık et onlara, sürekli destek ol!
