1He entered Jericho and was passing through. (Mt 20:29; Mr 10:46; Lu 18:35)2And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich.3And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. The Parable of the Ten Minas
11As they heard these things, he proceeded to tell a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and because they supposed that the kingdom of God was to appear immediately. (Lu 17:20; Ac 1:6)12He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return. The Triumphal Entry
28And when he had said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. Untie it and bring it here. (Lu 23:53)31If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say this: ‘The Lord has need of it.’”32So those who were sent went away and found it just as he had told them. (Lu 22:13)33And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?”34And they said, “The Lord has need of it.”35And they brought it to Jesus, and throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it.36And as he rode along, they spread their cloaks on the road. (2Ki 9:13)37As he was drawing near—already on the way down the Mount of Olives—the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, (Lu 18:43; Joh 12:17)38saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” (Ps 118:26; Ps 148:1; Mt 25:34; Lu 2:14; Lu 13:35; Joh 1:49)39And some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.” (Mt 21:15)40He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.” (Hab 2:11)
Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem
41And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, (Lu 13:34; Lu 23:28; Joh 11:35; Heb 5:7)42saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. (De 32:29; Joh 12:40)43For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side (Isa 29:3; Isa 37:33; Jer 6:6; Eze 4:2; Eze 26:8; Lu 17:22; Lu 21:20)44and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.” (Ps 137:9; Da 9:24; Ho 13:16; Na 3:10; Lu 21:6; 1Pe 2:12)
Jesus Cleanses the Temple
45And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, (Mt 21:12; Mr 11:15; Joh 2:14)46saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.” (Isa 56:7; Jer 7:11)47And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people were seeking to destroy him, (Mt 21:46; Mt 26:55; Lu 20:1)48but they did not find anything they could do, for all the people were hanging on his words.

Güvenilirlik Sınavı
11Oradakiler bu sözleri dinlerken İsa konuşmasını bir benzetmeyle sürdürdü. Çünkü Yeruşalim'e yaklaşmıştı ve onlar, Tanrı'nın Egemenliği'nin hemen ortaya çıkacağını sanıyorlardı. (Mt 25:14)12Bu nedenle İsa şöyle dedi: ‹‹Soylu bir adam, kral atanıp dönmek üzere uzak bir ülkeye gitti.13Gitmeden önce kölelerinden onunu çağırıp onlara birer mina verdi. ‹Ben dönünceye dek bu paraları işletin› dedi.14‹‹Ne var ki, ülkesinin halkı adamdan nefret ediyordu. 28İsa, bu sözleri söyledikten sonra önden yürüyerek Yeruşalim'e doğru ilerledi. (Mt 21:1; Mr 11:1; Joh 12:12)29-30Zeytin Dağı'nın yamacındaki Beytfaci ile Beytanya'ya yaklaştığında iki öğrencisini önden gönderdi. Onlara, ‹‹Karşıdaki köye gidin›› dedi, ‹‹Köye girince, üzerine daha hiç kimsenin binmediği, bağlı duran bir sıpa bulacaksınız. Gökte esenlik, en yücelerde yücelik olsun!›› diyorlardı.39Kalabalığın içinden bazı Ferisiler O'na, ‹‹Öğretmen, öğrencilerini sustur!›› dediler.40İsa, ‹‹Size şunu söyleyeyim, bunlar susacak olsa, taşlar bağıracaktır!›› diye karşılık verdi.
İsa Yeruşalim için Ağlıyor
41İsa Yeruşalim'e yaklaşıp kenti görünce ağladı.42‹‹Keşke bugün sen de esenliğe giden yolu bilseydin›› dedi. ‹‹Ama şimdilik bu senin gözlerinden gizlendi.43Senin için öyle günler gelecek ki, düşmanların seni setlerle çevirecek, kuşatıp her yandan sıkıştıracaklar.44Seni de, bağrındaki çocukları da yere çalacaklar. Sende taş üstünde taş bırakmayacaklar. Çünkü Tanrı'nın senin yardımına geldiği zamanı farketmedin.››
İsa Satıcıları Tapınaktan Kovuyor
45Sonra İsa tapınağın avlusuna girerek satıcıları dışarı kovmaya başladı. (Mt 21:12; Mr 11:15; Joh 2:12)46Onlara, ‹‹ ‹Evim dua evi olacak› diye yazılmıştır. Ama siz onu haydut inine çevirdiniz›› dedi.47-48İsa her gün tapınakta öğretiyordu. Başkâhinler, din bilginleri ve halkın ileri gelenleri ise O'nu yok etmek istiyor, ama bunu nasıl yapacaklarını bilemiyorlardı. Çünkü bütün halk O'nu can kulağıyla dinliyordu.
