God Is King over All the Earth

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy! (1Sa 10:24; 2Ki 11:12; Ps 42:1; Ps 95:1; Isa 55:12; Na 3:19)

2 For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. (De 7:21; Ps 66:3; Ps 66:5; Ps 68:35; Mal 1:14)

3 He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. (Ps 18:47) 4 He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves. (Ps 2:8; Am 6:8; Am 8:7; Na 2:2; 1Pe 1:4)

5 God has gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. (2Sa 6:15; Ps 68:18) 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! 7 For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!^[1] (Zec 14:9; 1Co 14:15) 8 God reigns over the nations; God sits on his holy throne. (1Ch 16:31; Ps 22:28) 9 The princes of the peoples gather as the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God; he is highly exalted! (Ps 47:6; Ps 98:4; Ps 98:8) 3 Denn der HERR, der Höchste, ist zu fürchten, ein großer König über die ganze Erde. (Ps 2:11; Ps 66:5; Mal 1:14) 4 Er wird die Völker uns unterwerfen und die Nationen unter unsere Füße.
